Countryside Mall is an easy five star shopping destination right in Clearwater, Florida. It's clean, well maintained, and has a great mix of stores that makes it simple to find just about anything you need or spend a relaxed day browsing. We loved the murals it had. The layout is easy to navigate, with a good balance of big name retailers and smaller shops throughout. Everything feels organized and convenient, so you're not constantly wandering around trying to figure out where things are. The food court is another solid highlight, offering a variety of quick and casual options. It's a great place to take a break during a shopping trip, grab a bite, and recharge before heading back out. Overall, Countryside Mall is a dependable and comfortable place to shop, eat, and hang out. This was my first time to the Countryside Mall. After having dinner at The Cheesecake Factory I ran into the attached mall. I found the mall to be clean and bright. They have your typical mall stores along with the typical food court. It's not an upscale mall with upscale stores! If you're looking for upscale stores I suggest going to Tampa International Mall. The anchor stores are JC Penny, Macys and Dillards. I ran into Dillards to pick something up and Dillards was nice. The one thing I found interesting was that they had a full size ice skating rink in this mall. It seemed busy with lots of kids skating. In addition to the food court, there are several restaurants located here. Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, Red Robin, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. Parking was easy enough when I went. read more

Countryside Mall is fixing things up inside. They have new rugs and furniture for extra lounge spots perfect for our hot and humid summers. It's getting nicer and homier. I would definitely come back. We like to walk inside. We do some browsing and window shopping but mostly walk with our dog Mocha Coconut. They use to have a fit if he was there, but not so much now. He needs to walk inside somewhere too and this is a perfect spot for us to get our steps in the A/C which actually works. Citrus Park Mall A/C didn't work the last time we were there. They are getting a new Mini So store. The Garra Experience Spa catches my attention but I would never do it. It is where the fish eat your dead skin on your feet. There's a movie theater here and a Whole Foods and Cheesecake Factory as well as Bacon Street Diner. Anchor stores are JC penney, Dillards, Macy's. They also like to highlight local artists with wall decor and paintings which is really nice. I'd def come back here. I do love all the nice seating areas and the walking areas. read more

Stopped by the mall to see any new changes. Of course, there are fewer kiosks and a fair amount of shuttered stores. However, there's a lot of new stores open that make it worth going to the mall. For Christmas, the Santa photo opportunity is set up near the Sears 1st floor entrance. Overall, the mall is still neat and tidy and the food court remains viable. read more

My best friend and I went to Build a Bear Workshop to pick up a gift for our granddaughter. So our Mila sees me via FaceTime and thinks I'm her entertainment, lol. I have to immediately sing "La Linda manita" song for her. So Jeanette and I picked out a bear, stuffed it added a vibrating heart and I recorded my song for her. We dressed up her "Lela" Bear and of course I made it smell like me before shipping it off to Connecticut. Sarah was great! She was patient with us. It's ok nothing special, we do a couple laps every now and then, mostly for people watching. We don't use the bathrooms often, I prefer to use one in a store like JC Penny, Macy's, or Dilllards than in the main mall but they are fine either way. The ice shaking rink is cool. Not the kind of mall I'm use too. They don't have a lot of nice stores. It's a smaller mall even though it's 2 stories. The stores they do have are small. The food court is really small. They don't have a variety to offer. It's also layer out weird. This is a mall if you are in a pinch needing something quick and don't have time to go to a different one. They do have an ice skating rink. It's a small area. They also have a kids play room. I wouldn't go to this mall unless I was out of candles from Yankee candles or bath and body works to pick up hand soap. read more

I'm going to give 1 star for each highlight of this mall. 1) the movie theatre 2) the ice skating rink 3) the Whole Foods As you can see none of the reasons I would recommend going to this mall would have anything to do with the mall/shopping. There are still a few worthwhile stores for actual shopping, like Loft, Dillard's , and Francesca's. But for the most part I would say this is ~family destination~ to hide from the Florida heat. For example there are plenty of angst stores for the teens of the family like Zumies, along with photo booths and escalators (why are there always teenagers hanging out around escalator?) There are nail salons for the moms. More than plenty of seating areas for the dads. And for the little kids - an inflatable play land, rides, Build A Bear, and characters (Santa, Bunny, and so on) during major holidays. I appreciate that it's always easy to park here, even back when the mall was more of an actual mall. Somehow you can always find a spot. Let's see how much longer we can get away with calling it a mall. read more

I visited the mall on a Sunday and there is an island with ladies giving away hair cream examples which we understand is part of their strategy to attrac customers. I passed by 3 times and at the last one an spanish black hair lady who does not speaks English approached to us and was holding the little packages in my face, forcing me to get them, I said to her we already have one and she threw it over my husband while she was cusing at me in spanish. I do not appreciated they are hiring uneducated people who does not have manners and using a vulgar language. Just for her information we are multilingual and we understood what she was yelling at me. Is the owner of that island so cheap to pay professional employees?? Classic American mall. Pretty much everything you would imagine at a brick and mortar shopping mall, a one stop shop for much of what one might need. Is missing the verve that malls used to have in my childhood but that's not the fault of the mall. Plenty of parking. read more

What a great food option right in the mall! Absolutely love Vietnamese food, so when I came back to Countryside after moving away I was shocked to see a Pho place right in front of the food court. I went back yesterday because I had business in Clearwater, so I went to Countryside after work hours and decided to get Pho to go, which is the only way I've ever had it here. They give you a branded paper Pho bowl that they put the noodles and meat in. Then they give you a plastic container with the broth and a baggie with sprouts, jalapenos and a lime. I can almost swear I had Thai Basil the last time I got Pho here, but there wasn't any in my baggie or in the bowl when I got home. I have to note that I live in Tampa now, so my Pho broth was still hot enough to cook the beef when I poured it into the bowl. The beef is sliced very thin, which makes this Pho easy to tear and eat with sprouts and thinly sliced jalapeno. The broth is okay. It was a little light...not as robust as I would have liked. All in all, you can't ask for much better in a mall food court. I wish this were available at Citrus Park Mall. read more

What is all the fuss about Pho? It's just soup, right? WRONG! I've just had my first bowl of Pho and it is terrific. My mistake was not getting the beef Pho, instead I ordered the meatballs. OK, rookie mistake, I admit. But the flavor of the broth and the veggies in it were wonderful. The slight kick was just right too! So now I must try more Pho. I'm hooked. read more

From what I could see, people go To Pholicious for their pho (Vietnamese meat & rice soup) bowls. A steady line of people was buying them so I am guessing they are great. I was here however to try their Vietnamese Iced coffee with tapioca bubbles. It's like Bubble Tea, but instead it's bubble coffee, which they affectionately called "Boba". All I can say was that it was delicious!! The coffee flavor was equivalent to the flavor in a deep, rich coffee ice cream. As a result I'm concluding there might be a lot of sugar in this drink. My absolute favorite place to eat in the countryside area. The pho is pho-tastic! It's incredibly quick to get your food. However, if you are looking for AUTHENTIC Vietnamese food, this may not be the place for you. The food is great, don't get me wrong, but it caters more to the "average American". Coming from Orlando where there is tons of Vietnamese establishments I was super happy to stumble on this place at Countryside Mall. I was looking for a quick lunch in the dreaded food court and nothing looked good. Mall food is always so questionable. Then I spotted this place and my heart skipped a beat. Pho at the mall? Yes, please! I ordered the beef pho and it was tasty! It came out piping hot and was served with all the right pho accoutrements, sprouts, lime, sri racha..so tasty! I went there a few weeks ago and the worker wasn't wearing gloves or a hair net. At first I didn't recognize this so my three friends and I got some boba and was good until I found a black hair in mine and my two other friends. We went up and the woman accused us of lying and saying the 3 ish length piece of hair was from my yellow leggings. She refused to give us new ones and refunds because we "drank it already and we were fine" . This also ain't a one time thing I've never seen the workers there with any sanitary procedures or gloves. Please just stop this from happening to other people by being decent human beings by being sanitary. The tapioca pearls were clumped together. read more

Shopping at this mall usually gets me depressed because I felt that whoever runs the mall discriminate we Pinellas ladies who wants the same style New York girls get to wear. Despite been constantly disappointed, I keep going there because besides spend hours to find one piece clothing that fits my taste, I have a bowl of hot soup noodle to ease my addiction. I confess! I noticed this place in the food court and decided to try it out since I had been craving some pho for a bit. The pho was good but a bit lacking in the condiments; it was also extremely hot and I figured that this was for those who order take out. The portions are about half of the typical bowl sizes for roughly the same price as a restaurant so, yes it is economical but half the bang for the buck. My opinion is that this place is just riding the pho wave and is just here to cash in. I must say that their banh mi looked pretty tasty and I may try that next time, probably not the pho, tho. read more

So a buddy of mine posted up a photo on facebook of a large, steaming bowl of rice noodles and meat... That's how it all began, or should have anyway. Moments after I saw the pic, I completely forgot where the hell the pic was taken. But then me and the chica were gallivanting thru Countryside mall, and bam! We saw the bright green noodle bar! Then it hit me; this was the place. Unfortunately, we had just eaten a massive king-sized breakfast, so the thought of eating again made our stomachs hurt. Pholicious won the battle, but not the war. We would be back to exact our revenge in the name of our hunger's honor. And return we did! I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to Pho, and admittedly I'd never heard of it until I saw it on Man vs Food one day, despite growing up with a Vietnamese best friend! Rookie status aside, I've had Pho from two places, Pho Quyen and Pholicious, and in my newjackish opinion, Pholicious was more toothsome. The broth was more savory, meat was more plentiful and the atmosphere was more fun. Sure Pho Quyen has a full menu of Viet-goodies, but in straight up Pho-to-Pho combat, I think Pholicious takes the cake. My recommendation is to stick to the Pho Beef, and shy away from the Pho Shrimp. My chica got the shrimp bowl, and well you can read all about her experience in her review. She done did it wrong. I've been feeling like I was in a culinary rut lately and needed to try something new. Having never had Vietnamese food and seeing a few places pop up in the countryside area, I decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed! Based on other reviews, I went with the beef pho and spring rolls. You guys weren't lying! That shizz is tasty! I had my first bowl of Pho ( pronounced Phah) when I was 20...from a cart on the streets of Saigon! Been in love with Vietnamese food ever since. You don't need to go to a restaurant to eat a good bowl of Pho and Pholicious proves it! Your bowl will come with vermicelli, green onions, your choice of protein or vegetarian, and a great tasting broth! The side platter includes Thai basil, sprouts, jalapeños, lime! You have a choice to flavor to your taste. BUT know that you should add something. I did all of the above and added a dash of Sriracha as a finishing touch. Do it all when it's hot so they all finish the flavor of the dish. The Vietnamese Summer Roll with shrimp is spot on. I had met the manager several times previously, scoping the menu, and telling him I must try the Pho! Today was the day! He also gave me a comp Vietnamese chilled coffee to try. The rich coffee flavor was there and so refreshing! THIS is now my only place to eat in the food court! We took my 7 year old granddaughter here, and she was one with the Pho! Talk about simplicity personified. This place is it. No frills, nothing much bigger than a mall kiosk with a counter top for surrounding the perimeter. Beyond that there is seating in the mall courtyard. Yet they still give you the impression that you are in a full restaurant; serving patrons on dinnerware and chopsticks (not disposable) when indicating that you are eating close. The do provide some limited service to some close peripheral tables. There specialty is Pho (Rice Noodle Soup) and Bubble Tea Smoothies along with Spring Rolls (Summer Rolls), Egg Rolls and a couple of sandwiches. My last visit I tried the Egg Rolls. I do not particularly care for Summer Rolls and on a previous occasion I had tried their Spring Rolls which I found to be one and the same. This is not a reflection on Pholicious; Summer Rolls are one of the few foods I am not fond of. So with satisfaction I tried their Egg Rolls which were delightfully crispy with a combination of pork and shrimp along with some vegetables. They were such a delight I could not stop eating them (four to an order). The combination also had a wonderful but mild peppery taste that enhanced the meat and combination vegetable. I am sorry I was only looking for a snack this would have been a great combo with a bowl of Pho. I have tried the Meatball and Chicken Pho on previous occasions and found both very delicious. Although the chicken wins out more often than the meatball. The Chicken Pho is tender grilled chicken breast combined with succulent rice noodles, chicken broth (with just the right amount of saltiness) with onion and pepper. Creating a wonderful melodious combination that will keep you diving for me. That is before the additional embellishments. The wonderful thing about pho is it almost always comes with a garnishment plate that includes basil and other herbs, sprouts, and peppers; all of which you can combine to enhance the wonderful base flavors that are already prepared for you. Not to mention the sauces. Definitely a good choice if you are the mall and want a no frills meal stop; or you could make a trip to the mall just for pho. read more

There hasn't been many places for pho in Clearwater until Pholicious noodle stand opened in the mall. I was hesitant at first to try it (didnt think it would be as good as authentic vietnamese restaurants) but finally gave it a shot last week. I ordered the large bowl of beef pho, but probably should have gotten a regular. The flavor was good, but adding some Sri racha, bean sprouts and a splash of lime juice definitely bumped it up a notch. Everything was good but not great.
