The GOOD: The Publix here is one of the best in our area. A former Albertsons, then a Safeway, it is very large and managed well. The Target is OK, but often jam-packed. I prefer the quieter shopping experience at the other store on Park street. The Petsmart is great and the service is always friendly. The staff at the Michael's location here are always very helpful. I find the Labcorp location to be the best and most efficient that I have ever visited. Smiley Thai is one of the best kept Thai take-out "secrets" in our area! The BAD: There is a significant amount of "bad characters" that often congregate here, especially after dark. Unfortunately, this appears to be more common when there is a major "bus hub" in the area, like the one just south of Target. There always seems to be a small group of them loitering just south of the Publix, hoping that I have spare wealth to gladly and willingly give away for unknown reasons. My apologies, but I am on a strict budget. Don't ever fall in love with a smaller store here. They come and go often. The turnover rate is quite high. I miss that "Bulk Nation" location! They used to have my favorite movie theater here, but I have not been to any since 2013. People constantly checking their cell phones every 5 minutes ruined the experience for me, forever. Never again So try your luck, you may really enjoy shopping here!

I'm not able to go as much as I'd like, but a visit here at Christmastime is always quite enjoyable! This mall still has a decent occupancy rate, an acceptable food court, several sit-down dining options, a nice movie theater, and even an ice skating rink. The attached Whole Foods is also a plus, IF you can afford shopping there! (I always look online at their weekly sales items before I visit). Since so many of our former indoor malls have been converted to outdoor "strip malls," I'm very glad Countryside has so far survived the preference for online shopping and still exists!

An obvious issue I noticed during my most recent visit, was the lack of guests not wearing masks. By my estimate, about a quarter of the guests had no mask on. When approaching a Mall Security Guard about this, he said this being enforced. Meanwhile, a group walks right by with no mask in sight. This is unfortunate.

The one thing I found interesting was that they had a full size ice skating rink in this mall. It seemed busy with lots of kids skating. I get OTC items at the pharmacy so I can use my HSA/FSA card (HSA/FSA card only accepted at the pharmacy register for OTC items). I asked the lady behind the register to bag up my OTC items & she said no that I can just show my receipt at the door. I don't think she realizes I would have to bypass the main registers with my items before heading towards the door. It made me feel awkward walking pass the registers with all my OTC items lol. They prolly think I didn't pay lol. Usually, the person behind the pharmacy counter brown bags all items purchased from that register which that was done every time prior to this particular day. Next time, I will make sure they get in the brown bag so I'm don't have to hassle with the folks at the main registers. My brother is a pharmacist at a different Costco & when I told him about my OTC purchase not bagged... he told me that the pharmacy clerk should have brown bagged my OTC items purchased there. To next time make sure it's bagged. The tire center is spectacular!!! I've had all my vehicles serviced here & other Costcos with new tires. Very reliable tire center they know a lot about cars too. Saved close to $400 on new tires here instead of the car dealership.
