Growing up in the 70s and 80s, "going to the mall" was a huge part of my leisure experience. With Tyrone mall now being a just scary shell of it's former self, Countryside is the only indoor shopping mall left in Pinellas county where I can enjoy the nostalgia of my youth. I'm not able to go as much as I'd like, but a visit here at Christmastime is always quite enjoyable! This mall still has a decent occupancy rate, an acceptable food court, several sit-down dining options, a nice movie theater, and even an ice skating rink. The attached Whole Foods is also a plus, IF you can afford shopping there! (I always look online at their weekly sales items before I visit). Since so many of our former indoor malls have been converted to outdoor "strip malls," I'm very glad Countryside has so far survived the preference for online shopping and still exists! read more

We have gone to Westfield mall for years. My husband has Parkinson's disease. With the hot weather we go there to walk around. We went last night and parked by JCPenneys we walked down to the opposite end of the Mall and sat before we walked back.. We reached Penney's to find it locked up at 8:00. Everything on line says they are open till 9:00. It was difficult for my husband to walk and we had a good distance to walk outside the mall to get to our car. We found an open door to Penney's and entered and were told to leave that they were closed and waiting for one customer to leave. I asked if we could go through to the other door and was told a definite no. I tried to explain my husband couldn't walk far and we were locked outside. So I'm writing this to warn anyone who is disabled that the mall closes at 8:00 now. read more

This mall is about average. I love that they have the skating rink available with no need to reserve. Right now they have a BOGO where you pay the $25 to skate and get to return the next day between 12-5 at no extra cost. The Whole foods is another plus, but you have to go out the side entrance to have access. It would've been nice if the mall had an entry from inside. An obvious issue I noticed during my most recent visit, was the lack of guests not wearing masks. By my estimate, about a quarter of the guests had no mask on. When approaching a Mall Security Guard about this, he said this being enforced. Meanwhile, a group walks right by with no mask in sight. This is unfortunate. read more

I've been to this mall twice, and I really really enjoy it every time. Why? Because it never seems crowded. I find it really cool that there's an ice skating rink right in the middle, so it's fun to just sit and watch people fly by on skates while hanging out and enjoying your Starbuck's coffee! There are actually several good stores here too, stores you'd expect in any mall (even a full movie theater!) So I'm surprised it's not as busy as it should be. The food court isn't the biggest, but still has a decent variety of food. A few Asian food stalls, Grilled Cheese, and Chick Fil A to name a few. Parking is never an issue for us at this mall either. Overall, a very pleasurable shopping experience. read more

This is probably the best mall I've found since moving to Florida. It's clean, easy to navigate, has nice variety of stores and the best Dillard's (huge) in the area. We've eaten at the food court which had decent foods when on the run. There is cinema in-house. Restaurants and grocery: Whole Foods, BJ's, PF Chang's, and Red Robin on the outside. Easily accessible from Rt 19 and huge parking lot makes this a nice experience. .ps forgot to mention the ice skating rink! read more

Most toddler friendly mall we've visited. They have an extra large family restroom with its own lobby that includes toys and private feeding rooms in addition to the toddler size toilet. The fire trucks you can rent include seats for 2 children and tablets with age appropriate games on both seats. The fire trucks cost $10 to rent and if you plan to be at mall for awhile it's well worth the $$ plus you get $1 back once you return cart. There are two play areas in the mall in addition to the play space in the family restroom lobby. One is the standard mall play area but the other is in a store space and offers a toddler kitchen play area, fort, tv with lounge. This mall offers the usual stores and food court but the toddler play areas are a big bonus for parents. read more

This is an average mall with almost all the brands that a mall has. Their food court is pretty good. They have lot of good food options. 2 Chinese food counter, 1 Japanese food counter , smoothies, pizza counter, along with Taco Bell. But the one that I like is kabab house. Their food is freshly prepared with lot of aromatic spices. They have chicken , veggies option. Everything is freshly made. Mall is clean it has a skating ring. Also they run a kids train. Their restrooms are clean. You would find lot of clothing stores for girls & every store has some great deals going on. I personally love going to Windsor. Overall this is like any other mall. Nothing great & nothing bad. It's 10 mins drive that's why I go to this place. read more

I have been to this mall for numerous time. I always like to visit this mall number of reasons. Sales, watch someone skate, enjoy the drink at restaurant. Also, they have direct parking access to second level of the mall. It always take me minimum 40 minutes to finish the mall. They have the skate rink that I enjoy to watch while the the patron skate. Especially those who has skill. The anchor stores include Macy's, Dillard, JC Penny and Sear which sometimes have bargained items. Other specialty store like CC Boutique, Build a Bear Workshop, Morrow fine candy, Teavana are good to try. They have the Cobb cinema for enjoyment and Urgent Care in case you need it. The food court and restaurant are good to try. I like the food court food sampling before you make up your mind. There is train in the mall for the children to ride. read more

TORRID Jamie at Torrid Countryside Mall in Florida needs to go through an extensive customer service training course. When you work retail, your whole goal should be making your customer feel welcomed, valued and helped. Jamie did none of these. She is unfriendly, very unwelcoming, and un helpful to say the least. There was no sympathy or anything that came from her when I was advised of a return policy. Just straight to the point, cut and dry, "oh you cant do that". No follow up, nothing... the poor other cashier that was so sweet working with her must have been mortified. I have shopped at this Torrid for 20 plus years. I have always experienced pleasant and helpful clerks at Countryside. I could probably own a Torrid store with all of the money I have invested in that specific store. I know it probably means nothing to the store, but you have lost a loyal customer due to the unprofessionalism's of Jamie. If I were the store manager, I would invest in some customer service training courses for her before placing Jamie back on the floor. read more

This mall has pretty much everything you can think of......even an ice skating rink and and bungee jump high zone! It has all the basic mall department stores: Sears, Macy's, Dillard's, JC Penny and a food court. The mall is two levels of every girls dream filled with shops and kiosks. Ok not every girls dream, but most anyone who loves a nice shopping mall that isn't half run down. There's even an Urgent Care in the mall! Run of the mill, average mall. This isn't your, am I about to get robbed mall - I'm looking at you Tyrone Square - but it also isn't your pinky in the air while I drink my tea - International Plaza shout out. This is your workhorse, dependable, I need my Ann Taylor dress to go on a casual date type of mall. You won't find high end boutiques like Louis Vuitton or Michael Kors. Heck, you won't even find a Nordstrom (yes, you will find a Nordstrom Rack, woohoo, but it is outside the mall so you have to walk to the standalone building, boo). Yet, what it lacks in expensive tastes it makes up for with a couple random stores. 1. ThinkGeek. You know the website where everyone finds a super nerdy gift for that special gamer in their life. (I personally bought my husband a bouquet of Star Wars mini plushies a couple years ago for Valentine's Day). They have a brick and mortar store and it is here! Looking for a Sailor Moon wand? Found! Need a $200 Captain American Shield? Check! Geeks unite and wander into this store. 2. Menchies stand. Those of you who don't know I have a frozen yogurt addiction will soon learn as I sneak in references into every single review. (That's probably not feasible, but here it is!) Since it is a stand-alone kiosk it does not have a ton of flavors or toppings, but when you're jonesing for some froyo, this hardly matters. Every mall should take note and offer froyo. 3. Candy Barrel. They offer a variety of chocolate covered treats and I have a super sweet tooth. Nuff said. Randomly, there is a Whole Foods attached to this mall, but you can't access it from the inside. Why be part of a mall if you have to walk outside the building to get to it? Still, it's a neat feature, so I'll give Countryside props for that. Additional props goes to their restaurants. Sure Grimaldi's and PF Changes aren't the pinnacle of fine dining, but it is still acceptable. Finally, they have a movie theater that is attached to the mall and you can access from the inside. Like the mall itself, it is not the best movie theater ever, but it is a decent one that I have no reason to dislike. Overall, I have to say that this mall is A-OK. read more

This is a small mall but it makes sense to town is small. This is the mall to go to if you're in Clearwater Palm Harbor Tarpon or North Saint Pete. There's an ice-skating rink located in the mall Macy's journeys and JC pennies so on and so forth. There are several places to eat in and around the mall such as P.F. Chang's Panera bread Chick-fil-A so on and so forth. Across the street but in the same parking lot as the mall there is a Nordstrom's rack just in case you're looking for nicer items but you're on a budget. read more

This mall is right by my place, it's well maintained and has a pretty good amount of stores inside You will find a GNC (of course I have to point this out) inside which is really quite convenient. A movie theater, which is not to bad and a fair amount of stores to get some shopping done in. The nicest part is that Whole Foods is attached to what used to be a Sears before they went out of business. read more

After major surgery, I needed a place to take short walks with frequent rest breaks. Also, air-conditioning would be a major plus. So, this nearby mall meets my needs! They have two levels and plenty of seating in various locations. You can relax by the ice skating rink and watch kiddos learn to skate for the first time! Considering before all this health stuff, I could easily walk 50 miles a week, it's been slightly frustrating walking for less than 5 minutes before I have to rest. But, I need to rebuild my stamina and fight through the pain. Westfield Countryside Mall is helping. I can do this. read more

It's just a normal mall. Sure it's been recently revamped a little. But everything about it is pretty generic. If you're looking to do some upscale shopping, you'll need to trek east to International Plaza. This mall will suffice for a more simple shopper looking for typical department stores and mall staples. The Nifty Niche: It has a skating rink in the middle of the place. I think that's pretty cool. Oooo. And if you have children, they have a train that circulates around the entire mall. It could get in the way of pedestrian traffic, but I think that's a pretty nifty niche to the place. Definitely an upgrade from the small, looped track at other malls. read more

This mall is not bad at all....Definitely not as nice as International Plaza but much better than Tyrone Square Mall. This place consists of major departments: Macy's, Dillard's, Sears and JC Penny. It also has Forever 21, Hollister, A&E, Aeropostale, Hot Tropic, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Shop, Loft, New York and Company, Brookstone, Coach, Disney Store and etc. The food court has Chick-fil-A, Subway, Wendy's and such. They also have Ruby Tuesday, Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks near the skate link! They recently opened a movie theater inside the mall and BJ's restaurant. And this mall is surely expanding. They are going to open Red Robin and Express soon. I really hope this place keeps getting better! read more

This was the first mall I went to back in the late 70's and early 80's and it's still around. They've made some major improvements, they have some REALLY awesome stores, even if the parking sucks. And coming early next year, there's going to be a whole paycheck.. I mean Whole Foods beneath Sears. I have to admit, I like shopping here! Nice mall. Lots of fun stuff going on. There's something for everyone. This mall is accessible to those with disabilities and families. They have a special family washroom that looks like a lounge. Pretty cool! Went to Torrid. Lots of urban clothes, lingerie, evening wear and business threads! They had a sale on clearance items....buy 1 get the second free. Pretty awesome!! I also went to the candy store, "Candy Barrell". Lots of candies and old school picks too!! I recommend this mall. read more

This is a nice mall if you want to take a break from the sun, or need a haven when it is raining. This was the second time we were here. It flashed me back to previous malls I had been to back where I use to live. The second floor is nice bc there are tons of cushy chairs to rest and chill. In fact, that is what we did since we had the worse headache ever from being in the sunshine. We did bring our small dog with us which was perfectly fine. I really love Florida malls where that is not a problem at all whatsoever. We walked around and there is a good variety of typical mall stores, and a good variety of typical food court places to eat. Westfield mall(was always known and still is Countryside mall to me) has been within 2 or 3 miles from every place I've lived in the Clearwater area. I have had nothing but good experiences there and would recommend it to anyone. The Ice skating rink is beautiful and highly entertaining! I've heard a rumor that Countryside mall might be closing and that would be devastating. Please tell me that this is just a rumor! I would give the Mall more than 5 stars if I could! read more

This mall has been a stable in my life since I was a kid. The mall is still growing and trying to stay as updated as possible. This two floor mall has a little bit of everything from a movie theater to tattoo pallets and they have a section for the kiddos. Love this mall. read more

I'm not much of a mall person, so certainly take that into consideration. We had so-so weather day on our visit to the area and decided to check out this mall. It's not bad. I mean, if you've been to one mall...right? It has your typical selection of mall stores, a food court, a movie area with free movies, seating and the not so typical thing: And ice skating rink. I have to say, that's the first time I've seen one of those in a mall. There was a someone there practicing with her coach. It was neat to watch that for a bit. Again, I'm not much for malls; I'd rather go mill around at a Harbor Freight. But this isn't a bad place. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to go back on a bad weather day. read more

My family and I love this mall. There are so many stores and food places to choose from. They have the typical dept stores but also a nice selection of boutiquey type stores. They have stores for adults, Tweens and kids. And there was s even am ice skating rink in the middle. There are a lot of little grab and snack places to enjoy and plenty of places to take a break. There are 2 levels so you are sure to get in enough steps while working on your well-being. The food court is ok but there are plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. I give this mall 5 stars because not only orbit clean and the people who work here are nice but there is something for everyone. read more

After traveling the US how I do appreciate this mall. Some of them are not safe, not clean, no Starbucks or no cool activities to do. They even have bungee jump cords here sometimes. It's beautiful and clean and classy. And with good options for shopping though it could be better and more, don't take it for granted like me lol. read more

I'm not a big shopper. Most of the time I know what I need so I get in and get out. This is a high traffic area but there are only two malls generally in the Clearwater/St Pete area. There are other malls but they are strip malls proclaiming to be malls. I do frequent this mall from time to time just to get what I need and go. The people are generally friendly and aren't overly pushy about selling anything. The mall can be a one stop shop with an ice skating rink and movie theatre for everyone's pleasure. read more

I went to the mall today to support our local businesses. Have gone to Macy's several times and noticed that all the customers and employees were wearing masks. I'm not one of those freaks, however, with the all the testing and positive results I did notice in the mall, that the 20 and 30-year-olds weren't wearing masks. Certainly I am not blaming the Westfield mall, however, it's very disheartening that the current age group with the highest positive test rates are not wearing masks. This review is not about the mall itself but rather a store inside the mall, called "One Stop." It is one of those places that sells candy, snacks, drinks and lottery tickets. The reason for my poor review is the young man who runs it always seems more interested in looking at his phone then handling customers who appear at the front counter. The customer service is so bad, when I want to buy a lottery ticket I go to the tobacco Store and try and hold my breath. One Stop is on the lower level just outside Sears. Vote with your dollars and avoid this place and see if something else will take its place that is more customer focused. read more

I come from the Silicon Valley where Westfield upgraded our mall to being some of the biggest and best in the country. This mall isn't big, but it has all the stores it needs to serve the surrounding community. It was no to crowded and very clean. The staff even the security guards are very friendly and helpful. I have officially come to conclude that I have been spoiled with GREAT malls while down in Miami and Palm Beach. This? Not great. I don't think it's been updated in 25 years. It's kind of grungey and seedy. I walked around and even the clientele of this place irritated me (14 year olds doing the "I'm so cool because my mommy let's me out in public alone" thing"). I guess there was a decent selection of stores, but nothing really excited me about this place. Really, really generic, and it's only redeeming quality was the Toojay's I spotted out of the corner of my eye (because they have some awesome carrot cake). For anyone from the southern end of this state, it has the ghetto factor of the Palm Beach mall on Palm Beach Lakes with the "selection of stores"/targeted clientele of Sunset Place in Miami. Having to live in NYC for a couple of years and now living in Northern Virginia/DC, I've been really spoiled for having access to great malls and stores. So when my husband dragged me to the Countryside this afternoon, and saw what I saw inside the mall I knew we made a mistake in coming. Other people raved about the Starbucks, Macy's, JC Penny's, and ice skating rink being inside the mall--but who cares when that's all this mall got? And I don't even shop at Macy's or JC Penny's when I'm in my hometown! If you are slightly into fashion, you will want to skip this mall and the Nordstrom Rack that's right by the mall as there's absolutely nothing you'll want one. Items that they have do seem a bit outdated. I've been to other Westfield malls--but yeah, this one was a real downfall. Don't recommend unless you really need to go. read more

It's really hard to understand why this mall is even still around. Of course, the ice skating rink is a cool attraction, but this mall has nothing else to offer. Limited stores and everything is just seems so old. Parts of this mall have carpeted flooring that has likely been there since the early '90s. Come on guys, either make some major updates or just knock it down. read more
