We brought our cat in for emergency care. We didn't know what was wrong with our cat he had just…read morelost mobility of his body and we were scared. He had shown no signs that day or previously of being in distress. We drove 35 minutes with a scared cat who was trying to move even though he couldn't. We arrived and the person at the reception desk was kind but she was the only one. The vet came out and I presume she was not showing any emotion at all to be professional. She tested our cat's reflexes and said they would do x-rays. As they took him back we could still hear him yowling. We could hear talking but none of it seemed to be trying to reassure our boy, who was still scared as were we. We were asked to sit out front and they told that we go could outside for fresh air. Why would we go outside? We were then charged a $500 down payment. While I am sure this is a fine price, it seem very rushed. I guess I expected them to help my cat get in a place of comfort and then ask for money. The Vet came out again and said there were no fractured bones but she thought it might be a blood clot. I'll venture a educated guess that there was less a 7% chance of his survival based on what the vet said. Now let me pause here for a second. I have just taken my cat in and they think it might be a blood clot but they will have to do tests and get back to us. I don't know about anyone else but when you hear you pet might have a blood clot, you instantly think the Vet believes the condition of the cat is life-threatening. So my second thought is, "He might not survive we should make sure we say goodbye just in case before anything is done." I asked to say goodbye, I asked twice. I was told no both times. I don't care that I was crying and my daughter was too. He was our best friend. We are home all day with him. We asked to stay and were told we should go and they would call us. So we left, without being able to say good bye to our best boy. One hour later they called my husband and said he was dying. My husband was the only one that got to say good-bye. My daughter and I were only able to bury him. We have a sympathy card with a paw print and nose print which, I hope beyond all hope, is actually his. I was going to wait longer before writing this. Long enough to where I could at least get through most of this without breaking down, which is why I don't call my kitty by his name while writing this. What I know for certain is, waiting wouldn't have changed a word I have written. Why couldn't they have just said "we will make him comfortable enough to go home a be with his family during his last day?" I will never take another pet here. I can only hope that no one else has to experience what we have and this is the only way I know to help others make a more informed decision. Please know this was not written in anger, I haven't gotten to that step yet in my grieving, and that's probably for the best.

He has been the most patient, caring and loving veterinarian I have ever been to. He has saved our pitbull at least three times to date. This pitbull came to us very ill and not taken care of. Tyler has help the pitbull get over a urinary tract infection,heart worms, stitches, and even a coyote attack. I almost think Tyler loves my dog more than me. He has been the best.
