I was returning home from Apple Valley late last night and one of their tow trucks caught up to the vehicle behind me, tailgated him, then when that vehicle left the area, he caught up to me, began tailgating me, then when we appraoched the intersection of Sheep Creek Rd and El Mirage Rd, he suddenly decides to pass me ( who passes in an intersection?? ); and speeds off. I try to catch him to see what he speed was, and he was doing mph. The speed limit on El Mirage Rd is 60. As he approached the t-intersection that takes you back to Lake LA or the Gray Butte facility, this driver flat out runs the stop sign, barely slown down enough to make the turn. Friggin ridiculous! I am writing this review for my father a man that broke his hip last year and relies on a walker to walk In October, 1924 Countrywide towing sold him a battery and told him they would guarantee it for three years and if it wouldn't start, they would come out and start it with guaranteed for three years On Saturday, my father called 8: 15 in the morning Countrywide dispatcher called the address and said a driver would be here in 45 minutes. waited two hours and I called back and they said they would not service our area because the driver ruined his vehicle which I'm assuming wasn't a personal vehicle it was it Countrywide towing company vehicle and the company would not let him drive on dirt road. which caused a call Aaa back and file a claim against this sold a battery that they guaranteed for three years but to come back-and-forth with Aaa that this company is the company they contract with 10 hours Aaa could not provide the service with the contracted company country wide towing. This is how you take care of an 82 hope I never need to rely on their service. Specially, the dispatcher and the driver didn't even have the courtesy to call and let him know they were not coming. And I really do not believe when he was telling me about ruining the vehicle on pictures on the website show they have huge tow trucks and there's no reason they should not be able to drive up a dirt road truly truly unacceptable and quite disgusting when an elderly man is unable to help himself and needed help with the jump. He had great customer service, was very patient, kind, and offered great knowledge and advice to my 18 year old regarding his car. David worked quickly, and carefully. They gave a 60-90 minute time frame. Received a text stating they will be here at 9:57am. No one showed up. Had to send a text to find out what happened because it is now almost 10:30 and no other communication was provided. They replied saying it's going to be another 45 minutes more. No explanation. They must have got another call that was going to pay them more. Not sure how the business works but I will definitely be filing a complaint through AAA. My car broke a belt which caused the car to run off only battery which then died due to no alternator keeping the charge. I requested a jump start through insurance, 40 minutes later they gave me these guys. As soon as the driver gets out he asks for my number and says "I called you like 4 times." No call was received. He then pops my hood. Grabs the battery terminals and starts yanking them around and proceeds to say "your battery terminals are loose, the battery won't hold a charge with loose terminals." That's plain incorrect information while loose terminals may cause a intermittent connection problem, terminals don't hold charges. Battery's hold. Alternators maintain that charge. Best thing about it, I NEVER GOT A JUMP START! You're either tow and roadside assistance or a mechanic. Not both. Save your time and call A1 Heavy Duty. read more

I called Countrywide Towing (CT) last Saturday during Memorial Day weekend for my sister while visiting her and her family. After reading several reviews of a few places, I chose CT because they had the best ratings and reviews. I spoke with Wendie, Dispatcher Supervisor, and scheduled an appointment to have a truck come to my sister's home to service her van for a battery replacement and some gasoline. Santos called before arriving to advise that he was on his way. When he arrived, he was all smiles and helpful from start to finish, and patient with all my questions. Santos was quick and efficient and thorough. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and friendly, they were in constant communication prior to pickup, and the driver was very knowledgeable and entertained me with his driving stories. I called to have roadside assistance to change a flat tire on a 2019 Transit. ETA was 60-90 Min. I got my confirmation text message and waited for 90 minutes. No one showed up. I called to get a status and the lady advised me that the driver was 20 minutes out. 30 min later no show. I called for the 2nd time to get a status and I was told the driver was stuck on a call in Lake LA. The dispatcher told me once he's done there I was next. One house later (4 and a half hours later) I called to get an update again. I provided my information like the previous times and now I was told by the same dispatcher lady that they don't have a work order for my vehicle. WHAT!!!????!!! I kept my cool and I asked how is it that my previous calls she was able to pull my work order and now all of a sudden she can't find it. This is the WORST towing company I have ever dealt with. The dispatcher asked if I was paying cash and I said No, it was going thru Ford. Her tone changed and said "Well there's nothing I can do, I have no order for you and I don't have a driver available." She also stated that I made a mistake and I was calling the wrong tow company. So if I was paying cash she would have sent one. It seems like they pick up the cash jobs and ignore the Inssurance calls. I have one start review because I could give zero or negative stars. Before I lost my cool I hung up on her. I called Ford roadside assistance and they were able to see the open order assigned to the Countrywide. On June 12,22 I called AAA for a tire flat. They sent Country Wide Towing in Lancaster, Ca. Well thguy Jose showed up pointed out that my tire was damaged. He then puts on my doughnut tire. Less than 10 minutes I go down the street noticing tire shops because I'm more than 3.+hours from home knowing I can't drive this on a doughnut tire. I leave the hotel I'm staying at and notice my car making this god awful noise. I try and turn off the main street only to have my car stop straddling the main st and a Taco Bell parking lot only to discover that my car has been driving on my left driver side rotor. Come to find out Jose put on my doughnut but didn't tighten the lug nuts! Well needless to say my car was damaged and his (pitiful) self tried to offer payment for lug nuts. Long story short, this has caused $3k+ in damages and they HAVE not made things right yet! AAA, is responsible so they will be getting mixed into this as well. Beware, if I had gotten on the freeway as I intended it would be worse. Beware Country Wide Towing Lancaster so far has terrible business practices! Wish I could give ZERO stars! read more

Today I called roadside assistance through my insurance company and was sent a representative from Country Wide Towing. The driver's name was Bruce, and upon arriving to my gated community, called me to let me know he needed me to let him in the gate. I thought this was strange, because when I made the call I was sure to mention that I could not get into my vehicle to retrieve my gate remote and so provided the code for entry. When I relayed this information to Bruce, he told me that he didn't know how to use the code, even though the instructions are printed on the code box. I knew already that the real issue was simply that he hadn't bothered to walk up to the code box to attempt to enter the code in the first place. I reminded him that I had no way to retrieve the remote and that I would be happy to stay on the line with him while he approached the code box in case he needed me to walk him through it. Apparently, he was able to figure it out because a few minutes later, he was in. When Bruce arrived at my home and looked at my 2001 Toyota Camry, he proceeded to explain to me that the reason he suspected my car would not respond to the key fob to unlock was a common issue he sees in "these Hondas," in which the battery blows out a fuse. He stated that he would jump start the car and that if that didn't work, he would send someone out to replace both the fuse and the battery. He repeated himself several times, always referring to my Toyota as a Honda. Next, Bruce hooked a pair of jumper cables to the protective cover over the battery terminals and flipped a switch on the outside of his vehicle. Nothing happened. He explained that it was just as he'd "seen a million times with these Hondas," and that he would send his battery guy right out. He left. After he left, I called Country Wide Towing directly to ask a few questions about what felt like a suspicious situation. They proceeded to look up my case, which was for a Honda Pilot which I do not own, and explain that I was going to be charged for and delivered a new battery and fuse to be replaced at my expense. I asked her to cancel this and called my insurance company back. The insurance company tried to make contact with the driver after this, but he had chosen not to answer any more calls. They sent another tow company out to tow my car to a mechanic where I would have to leave it to be looked at tomorrow. Upon arriving (and having no issue with the gate) and hearing about my experience, the driver for this other company said he'd seen this many times. Country Wide Towing has a quota for the number of batteries they need to sell each month. Drivers are going out to calls and pretending to test batteries, then selling their batteries to these victims when they don't even need it. To prove it, the new tow truck driver showed me exactly where to clamp the cables, and right in front of me he started my car right up. This company has been around forever, and nobody questions them. My eyes were opened today. I will never trust this company again, and I will do my best to let people know about how they tried to scam me. I took the battery to auto zone to have it tested and confirmed that it is a perfectly good battery that did not need to be changed (it's less than a year old). Be careful of these wolves in sheep's clothing. read more

My son waited for 3 hours for Global Assurance only to be told that they refused the tow and unprofessionally argued with my son and the property owners. Just had my battery replaced by these guys after calling AAA. Stan came out to my house pretty quickly and everything was fixed up in about 30 minutes. My car's battery is pretty covered up and bolted down but he was able to get through it. Unlike a previous experience I've had with a AAA dispatch, I appreciated his service and professionalism. I was given receipts for records as well as was asked whether or not I wanted to change the battery after finding out it was dead. I've heard stories where people get messed with and I'm thankful that this wasn't this case. I needed my battery tested and possibly replaced. AAA sent these guys out. They tested my battery and found that it tested fine. My cables were a bit lose. They tightened the cables and did not try to sell me a battery. They told me that my battery was fine. That is honesty and integrity at its best. Highly recommended!!!! read more

Anywho, I didn't come here to complain but rather to compliment. Gilbert showed up SERVICE DRIVEN. He didn't even ask about payment until we arrived at the house AND THE OVERAGE COST WAS HALF the cost of the other company. He pulled up, hopped out and tossed the truck on the back. Called AAA for a flat tire around 10 pm on a Friday night and was given a quote of about an hour. I was on the way to drop my mom off at her house after having dinner together and since my mom is epileptic I did not want her to have to sit and wait an hour for the tow truck to arrive so I called a friend who lives very close by to give my mom a ride home, which was only about 3 mins away. By the time my friend dropped my mom off and came back the tow truck was already there! My driver Adam was so quick and efficient loading my car onto the truck, and by the time all was said and done, I was home with my car before the time AAA quoted me for the truck to arrive. My wait time was only about 15 minutes and it took him less than 5 to get my car and myself in the truck and on our way! Adam was very friendly and pleasant to speak with on the drive home. My vehicle was involved in a car accident, and Countrywide was asked to tow it by the police at the scene. They kept it in their yard while the insurance company worked out the claim, eventually declaring it "totaled." Countrywide sent me an outrageous bill for their "storage services" and encouraged me to sign the car's title over to them in exchange for canceling the debt. I did as requested and filed a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability with the DMV. After I received a bill from Orange County Toll Roads, I discovered that Countrywide never completed their application for transfer of ownership to complete the DMV transfer process. When I called to resolve this, the woman on the phone claimed that she had no record of the vehicle ever having been in their possession. She refused to help me resolve the matter in any manner. I believe they sold the "totaled" vehicle in early 2022 that is now being driven under my license plate and registration that won't expire until next May. Generally, my son who dealt with them after the car accident, found them to be dishonest in their communication, and I now concur. read more

What can I say that can be better than what has already been said... other than they were curtious, friendly, on time, my battery decided to die and I was brought a new one for 99$ plus tax to install, recycle and a 6 year warranty. *Note: benefits were all in conjunction with a paid AAA membership. Dan the driver also was able to tell me what else was wrong with my vehicle so that later on another day I could get that fixed since it was close to 10:30pm. I was told they offer a 24 hour service.
