I was not impressed at all with their prices. For used item they are pricey especially if they get there inventory from donations. They're selection is massive. I only explored about five percent of the store. I found this jacket that they were selling for $20.99 and cost co is selling it for $14.99 (on sale). I had to do something about that price!!! I asked the front desk to look up the real value of the item. I don't recommend this store. Winners /Marshall's wells cheaper items than this store.

A bit smaller than the Whyte Ave location but it has a great selection of clothes and goods. Nice and clean inside. There is a donation drop off zone outside. A large parking lot services the strip mall so you should never have an issue with parking. I like this store as it is way less busy than the Whyte Ave location so that makes the shopping experience a bit better.

You see, my mother liked to collect pretty things, and my family doesn't have the space for all her salt and pepper shakers, Christmas decorations, eagles, owls, wolves, chefs, dishes, etc., etc. But I didn't want to just shove them off to just anywhere. I wanted it to mean something. Thankfully, I can do that here. I came to the MCC on the recommendation of a friend who volunteers with the Yeg Water Warriors. She told me that MCC helps YWW as many other organizations in the community and beyond. I Googled them and found that it was even better than I'd been told. I can breathe a sigh of relief that the sale of my mother's beautiful things will go to good causes, as she would have wanted. Staff was excellent and helpful. We checked the store out before we left, and found it to be clean and organized. We bought candles and a jacket. I'm going to be back after I declutter my house to bring them more, because I support what they do. I think I'll buy some of that coffee too. Thanks everyone at MCC for making me feel better about giving away my Mom's beautiful, but space consuming things.

Today however I left the store empty handed and found the experience to be rather average at best. First though on the positive end of the spectrum I will say the store is VERY clean and well organized. It took my normal expectations of second hand store cleanliness and blew it right out of the water. Also the ladies working here all seemed really nice and appeared to be enjoying their jobs which really goes a long way in creating a nice atmosphere. What I didn't enjoy however was the very limited selection here. It's summer now yet the pants and long sleeved things were still dominating about 75% of the rack space I would say and I only found a single pair or shorts in my size to try on. Also I find it slightly concerning that this charity has started to creep slowly towards falling into the Value Village habit of over estimating the value of their goods. I found a disturbing number of George brand t-shirts for $3.99 for example....why would anybody pay that when you can spend 5-8 dollars and get one brand new? Not a terrible store by any means and it's a great alternative if you want to support a charity as opposed to Value Village but I think there are some areas they could stand to improve on. Goodwill is definitely still my thrift store of choice when out and about here in Sherwood Park.

They don't appear to get much in the way of plus size and maternity here and even the men's section seemed a bit skimpy. Also some of the prices were a bit shocking. I went into the purses and found a drawstring bag from the University of British Columbia for an eyebrow raising $12.99. Also the way pricing works here for clothes is they just have one set price for each type of item regardless of condition or name brand which is fabulous if you luck out and find say a Gap t-shirt but not so fabulous when your expected to pay $5.00 for a Joe t-shirt you could get new for $6.99 Like most places though they do have their good points. I didn't find any worn out looking clothes that looked like they had no business out on the sales floor to begin with which means they take their quality control here very seriously. Also the staff are all very friendly and appear to get along well. They also put their physically and developmentally challenged team members in roles out on the floor which is something I have never seen at any other thrift store ever. It was wonderful and so nice to see as you can tell they really enjoy what they are doing. There are definitely better thrift stores but I wouldn't dismiss this one completely. It has a nice vibe to it and they are kind of off the beaten path in a business complex area so you might find some really interesting things since I think they are a little less well known in the park.

Out Of Your Closet is nicely tucked in a strip mall-like area, so passing nearby traffic is not nearly as hazardous as it would be in a different location (and their parking lot feels very safe because of it). -Out Of Your Closet has given me the perfect reason to organize my house by regularly assessing what my family and I own to find items we don't use as much as we thought, clothing that no longer fits, etc. to bring in for donation. -Most importantly: THE OWNERS! Such a wonderful couple -- extremely personable, friendly and helpful. I find myself looking for any excuse to visit Out Of Your Closet as often as possible... it's my new favourite store! In my humble opinion, it is by far the best thrift shop in Sherwood Park. VERY highly recommend!

This location just opened a few days ago and it's already super busy! You would think this store…read morehas been around for a while by the looks of it. It's jam packed with all sorts of gently used clothing. There are clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women. From casual to more dressy wear. Prices range depending on the brands. Everything is well organized according to types of clothing items and sizes. There's also a section for clothing from Aritzia and Lululemon. I was able to find a Wilfred brand camel coloured long sleeves top and a pair of black Aldo ankle boots. I'm sure the store is picked over but I still saw many items I was interested in. I think there's a good flow of new stuff coming in from people selling their stuff to the store. Overall, this place is off to a strong start! We don't really have a good thrift store in this part of town. It's a welcome addition in my opinion. I enjoy shopping at the other Plato's Closets but they're far away from where I live. This location is the closest to where I live. I can't wait to come back and find more treasures!
