Quite enjoy this place on the occasional weekend. Lots of items mainly new from overseas but some very nice collectibles as well.

Wow. What else can I say? This place is a crazy, jam-packed wonderland of treasures you didn't know you needed! Everything from...well, just everything. It's here somewhere. Anaconda snake skin? Check. Record store? Check. First Nations concession? Check. Bongs? Check. Clothing, cell phones/accessories, food products, books, antiques, jewelry, models, signage, tools, psychic reading, antique breast pump, food court...check check check check check check... Wandering around here definitely gives off that Alice down the rabbit hole vibe. If it wasn't for my hubby I probably would have gotten lost! The rows of vendors aren't neatly laid out. There's a sort of rambling maze-like feel to the place, which means there's a surprise around every corner! I noticed there is quite a charming sense of community with the vendors here. You'll see quite a lot of visiting going on, and honestly it's the most eclectic group of people I've seen in a long time. If you haven't been. Just go. Apparently there's two locations. Many tables there have interesting things that will make you excited or sometimes scratching your head. For a few months I'd go there to buy whatever I see! Could be just a pair of socks, or a huge set of Legos. Most tables there are cheap and efficient, but some tables can contain stuff that's overpriced but I won't complain. My favourite table there is the CD table with hundreds of songs to choose from, from local artists like Gord Downie, to huge hits like Tyler the Creator. Did I forget to mention a lot of people are nice and willing to bargain at a very good price? AND you can even have a bite to eat if you need a break from all that shopping! Need to shop for something? Sell stuff? Even go there for a family activity? The Super Flea Market is the best place to go to! read more

Not much has changed about Super Flea in the two years that have passed since my last review. Even as it's being slowly overtaken by peddlers of new junk, the market's pockets of greatness (ie: Terry's record booth) are getting, if possible, even better. Last weekend I picked up one of my serious record wants, something I've been searching for for years, and for many times cheaper than I'd been willing to pay. Gem after gem after gem line the wall right now - it's times like these that make me wish I had some sort of lucrative career so I could take home that copy of G.I., that Johnny Thunders record, the second Cuddly Toys album, those Secret V's LPs I've always wondered about. I actually had a table at the Super Flea for many months. First off, to get this off of my chest, the place is controlled by the big market guys who own the cd place, dvd place, t-shirt and patch place and bunch of other small booths. This means that 'free market' essentially doesn't exist. I had 'too many DVD's' on my table that were 'too cheap' and undercutting the big guys. They told me I had to limit my selection to 25. This defeats the purpose of a free market I think. Anyways now that that is off of my mind the market itself is actually an amazing place to shop full of knick-knacks and you-name-its. You can get a fair deal for the most part although I think alot of things were overpriced. When I first came in other vendors were buying stuff off of my table to upcharge on their own. The best deals, in my opinion, were the low priced hemming (Only $5) and the handmade custom items (check out Ally Gators for custom pillows, etc.) There are a ton of different things available there - i'd stay away from knock-off Ed Hardy clothing and stuff cause it's usually Chinese and not authentic. You can even sell your unwanted gold or get a haircut! The hot dogs are cheap and a good bargain but the mini donuts were a bit off in my opinion. There are alot of collectors items for cards, stamps, coins, etc. So take it as you will, there will always be excellent finds and deals there but in my experience it sucks that you can't just sell anything for any price. If I want to sell my movies and games for 5 bucks less than the other guys I should be allowed to! But I guess those guys own half the place so of course the managers are going to look after them to get their rent payment. And its NOTHING compared to American flea markets (The next time you're South be sure to check one out - but leave a whole day to visit). Thanks for taking the time to read my review. read more

I've always been a big fan of our Super Flea Markets. I find that this one offers a little more variety than the one on 50th street, but it's also a little more cramped. This is a great way to spend an hour or two on the weekend. Hot dogs used to be $.25, now they're up to a buck a piece, but they also have a wide variety of other food items available! Hot dogs, burgers, fries, poutine, pizza... there's also a new Chinese food place that's opened up here in the last year or so. Their prices seem to be a little high for flea market food though. It's been a while since I've actually purchased anything here, but I love looking around. Where else can you find Betty Boop statues (swoon), 1000s of DVDs and CDs, Watkins products, bongs & pipes, AND more piggy banks than you could imagine. Parking in the front is tight, so don't forget that there's a lot in the back too! And be prepared to get lost once you're inside, because it really is like a maze. Happy Shopping! read more

This is the world's biggest garage sale! Seriously! The Super Flea Market is jam packed with booths with everything from DVDs, to dolls, to pictures of Hitler. It really is a big yard sale (only it's inside). If you need some energy before you shop, grab a 50 cent at the concession - you can't beat that price! I actually got lost inside the Flea Market. There is so much stuff everywhere you look. Some of it is really nice, quality merchandise. Other stuff is junk. But when you find the nice stuff (wood carvings, polished stone figurines, cultural items . . . ), stop and take a look because it's stuff you won't find many other places. If you take the time to walk around and sort out the junk, you have a good chance of finding something pretty nice. And, for the most part, the prices are what you would expect - they are decent. Some are a little high in my opinion but you can always bargain. If you like garage sales, you have to visit the Super Flea Market. It will be a dream come true! read more

I have been on both sides of the fence with this little gem - as a customer and as a vendor. As a customer it is a great place to spend a weekend afternoon. It is laid out like a giant maze and you will never have the same experience twice! Think of it as a giant garage sale - one man's junk is another man's treasure! There is a great food vendor right by the main office (just around the corner) that does a kickass breakfast. There is also a couple of other concession booths that offer the usual ice cream, hot dogs and pizza type of cuisine. You can find just about anything for sale here if you do enough poking around. The vendors change all the time. If you are a vendor looking for a place to sell, sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table but the staff at the market are very nice people to work with and the rent is really reasonable. The vendors have their own little community going on and everyone watches out for each other. It was a nice experience for myself. read more

Alright guys, I think I'm kind of in love with the Super Flea! I had a pal visiting the other weekend, and we decided to explore Edmonton's fleas as this was one of my favourite pastimes back in Calgary. This place is aces if you wanna kill a couple hours on a weekend afternoon. Such a curious little place. From piles of antiques, to records, to ceramic Jesuses (plural Jesus form?!), to 2pac blankets, the Super Flea totes has you covered whatever your quirks are. While we didn't really go home with any finds, it was a solid time. The food court wasn't a super appealing to us and there were faint smells of dog food in some corners of the market, but it just added to the Super Flea's charm, in some regard. Rebecca is totally right about it being kind of like a maze, we kept turning corners and finding new little paths we hadn't circled yet! Also this is definitely the best Super Flea out of the two. I recommend skipping the one in the North end, blegh. read more

This place is bad ass...kinda stinky but badd ass. They pretty much have everything and anything you need...I picked up a NES system and games back to the 80's...shit yeah... This is a great place to look around and find those treaures you've been looking for or at least be reminded of them. You see one item and flashes of memories come back to you about what toys when you had when you were a kid. I picked up some sinister looking gargoyles too for sooo so cheap. I enjoy going here with someone but you can go on your own. The vendors are freindly and they too have there stories about each item. The deals for used items are rare here. You can find everything, but the prices are outrageous at a lot of the tables. One guy even tried to sell me "Italian paintings" of the prairies for $75-$250! Hilarious! read more

The appliance guy, Bob, is the most rudest individual in the place. He sold me a fridge, which obviously was not "like new" as he said. It worked for less than 2 months then quit. He only warranties for 30 days but once he has your money you can never get ahold of the guy. Do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable business. Just saying! read more

I went here for the first time today looking for nothing in particular. Most of the place is junk. There are some niche tables that sell more interesting things -- like the guy selling old and irregular bank notes and coins. If you're looking for something in particular you can get it announced over the PA system. I think if you've never gone here before you're going to spend a lot of time and maybe love your experience. However, I've been going to this flea market off and on for over five years now and it hardly ever seems to change. I could go months inbetween visits and I swear nothing new was added. In saying that though there are some good deals to be found. I bought a Skinny Puppy promo single for $4 and found out it's worth over $35! I think if you're looking for used vinyl, games, DVD's or CD's you should check this place out for sure but yeah, as with most of the reviews on here I will agree that there is a lot of junk. Worth a visit of two but no need to go every weekend that's for sure. read more

I give Super Flea Market two stars out of five only because I do not like flea markets, not because this place is awful. I have been here several times looking to buy used night stand which later I could repair, clean and repaint, and I was absolutely astonished at the amount of stuff sold here. Flea Market sellers sell EVERYTHING! If you by any chance are looking to buy an old doll with only one eye - they've got it! Sellers are eager to talk, and sometimes share interesting stories about the origins of the items they sell. In all honesty, most of the things sold at Edmonton's flea market are junk. I guess, if somebody is looking to buy something valuable, he has to be patient and dig deep. I nether found the night stand, nor do I want to shop at flea market anymore. I did see several interesting paintings as well as an abundance of vinyl records which might make some music lover very happy, but I am just not cut out for flea markets. read more

Would absolutely steer miles clear of the booth that sells video games in the main lobby across from where all the CD's are. Been going to this flea market for years now and today I pick up a game that was sticker priced at $20. Send it to some 10-13 yr old kid who is tending the counter who then no lie, tells me to wait while he proceeds to look on-line only to tell me a few minutes later "Oh this is actually $30". When I told him your sticker clearly says $20 his response was "Yeah nothing I can do about that"?!?!? No word of a lie. I must have missed the signs hanging up saying Prices may change at any given notice. Poor business savvy, poor customer service and attitude. Not recommended by a longshot. read more
