From their website patting themselves on the back for giving one-time free care..."Patients arrived in the wee hours of the morning to line up for free dental care." What they neglect to mention is that it was one of the coldest days of the year, and the patients were not allowed inside. They had to wait outside in extreme cold weather. Most of them, like many of the people who live in Prince Edward County, were elderly. My own experience on that day - I have been looking for a dentist and Picton Dental Centre was under consideration. So I was thinking of going over there to get a free filling and check it out for ongoing treatment, as there was no mention in all their advertising of doing this only for people in need. So I thought it was a Christmas thing where they were doing an act of goodwill. You did not find out that it was only for people in need until you got there and I wonder if some were turned away for that reason. Lucky I checked the weather and decided a polar bear couldn't survive the temp and frosty winds. However, before that I called for info, only to be told by a harassed and unfriendly admin. that I should just go look at the website if I wanted info, she was too busy. She did say to show up very early and to dress warmly I would have to wait outside in the cold. Considering that was minus 20 or even colder, that was a no go right there. I found out later that a few people simply could not tolerate the cold, and after waiting for hours and freezing, with no sympathy or help from the dental office, they left without being treated. It seems a bit arrogant to me to tell poor people you are going to help them, then make them wait in extreme cold weather for hours while the dentists were in a nice warm building. That kind of uncaring attitude caused me to cross this place off my list of potential dentists.

This is the best dental experience I've had so far. After 2 years of no dentist (pandemic + move to…read morea new city) I went in for two different appointments in one week. I got a full suite of xrays, exam, and a dental cleaning plus one filling. The whole clinic is bright and cheerful. On both visits the staff knew my name right away, and the wait time was basically non-existent. The xrays were high-tech (even the bitewings were comfortable), both the cleaning and filling were painless, and every dentist/hygienist/staff person I talked to was exactly the right mix of friendly and professional. Due to lots of tartar, the cleaning took longer than I'd booked for it, but they rescheduled the remainder for the same day and then booked me in for the filling only two days later. The xrays + exam + cleaning totalled just over $700, and the filling was just over $200. (My insurance covered most of these expenses, but anyone uninsured may want to call ahead of time to confirm the pricing before booking.) There was no "upselling" or pressure to get extra services I didn't need. All around, this is a wonderful clinic, and I'm looking forward to going back in a year.

They charged me $600 including initial visit to remove a molar when I had lost my benefits for a couple years. The female dentist that performed the work was great but that is a huge amount of money for a simple extraction. My wife had a terrible experience with a male dentist there too. He was very rude to her and his staff. Trust me look elsewhere unless you like throwing good money away.

I called a week before to confirm they received my previous records. They told me on that call that they were no longer going to accept my insurance in 4 days. In other words, 3 days before my appointment my insurance would no longer cover the dental visit. I asked if they could reschedule my appointment before they'd drop my insurance, and they were able to because someone else canceled. However, the morning of my appointment day they said the hygienist and dentist were out sick, and they couldn't find another appointment before the insurance drop date. So I waited 4 months for nothing only to have to wait another 6 months until another dental office could schedule an appointment with me. They should have informed me that they weren't going to accept my insurance anymore. If I had not called in advance, I would have gone to my appointment without accepted insurance. In the end it was a significant waste of time. They really screwed me over.

I can not say enough great things about my experience here! My typical dental visit (other places) can only be described as a nightmare. I usually feel horrible anxiety before, during, and after an appt. My last dentist (ConnextCare Dental of Fulton) actually ripped the napkin off of my neck and yelled "Go Somewhere Else Then" when I spoke up and said I wanted to try and save my tooth (not pull it). Unfortunately, this was during COVID, I couldn't get in anywhere else. After a few minutes of me calming her down, she agreed to fill the tooth instead of pulling it. That filling lasted about 6 months before falling out. I knew I wasn't going back so I researched my options, with my insurance. That's when I discovered Oswego Dental Health Associates (formerly Fulton Dental Health) was now accepting my insurance. I made an appointment (still COVID) and was in the chair 2 weeks later. The dentist was amazingly kind and gentle. He even told me there was still an option to save my tooth (almost a year after the last place said it was impossible!) I have incredibly sensitive teeth and am usually in agony during dental work (or even the water spraying my teeth). Oswego Dental Health Associates went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and pain-free. They even complimented me on being a good patient! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Seriously! I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it for myself. Surprisingly, I was calm and anxiety-free during my first visit. I truly felt like I'd been going there forever. As if that isn't enough, to switch dentists now, this place actually worked with me by scheduling my treatments to make the most of my insurance coverage. Seriously, make an appointment today! Before they are full (as always happens with any dentist that isn't a nightmare). If you have kids, this would probably be an awesome place for them. I usually end up feeling like a big baby in most dentist chairs, but these guys boosted my confidence. I left the place looking forward to going back and finishing the things I needed to be done.

Dr. Kobilov expelled my family from his clinic's patients list. He even cancelled all existing…read moreappointments for my family member. Sounds non-professional and rude (especially if they claim themselves "friendly" on their website's homepage)? Well, this was how this dentist found appropriate to pay back to me. I was asking the clinic some inconvenient questions. It was just me, not my family members, but the dentist found appropriate to punish innocent people. Dr. Kobilov's choice of punishment might appear right for those who believe that some dentists are saint people who never make mistakes and therefore should never be questioned or criticized. My fault. I should have learned to behave better in this clinic. I made a lot of sins. Here they are: I allowed myself to ask the clinic questions that were related to their billing errors (duplicate billing/overcharging). I brought a third professional opinion into our discussion with the clinic, and this third opinion was not in favor for quality of work and billing at KMA Dental. I was not happy with the fact that Dr. Kobilov could unilaterally change appointment time and did not even bother himself about giving a call in advance in order to discuss with the patient whether this was acceptable or not. (This seems pretty disrespectful, especially if you read on the clinic's website or Google Reviews pages about their "friends and family" style or "respectful communication" practices). Going back to last treatment episode in this clinic I did not like that Dr. Kobiliv made anesthetic shot without patient's permission. Unfortunately, the above mentioned episodes happened in May of 2023 were not the first cases of disappointment with KMA Dental. Well, it is clear by now that Dr. Kobilov never appreciated honest and trustful discussion. No wonder he called our recent email communication around real issues as "condescending", "insulting" and "harassing" (read their Google Reviews response to my review). Summarizing this long review, I personally believe that patients do have rights to ask questions on treatment qualities, amounts billed, office ethics towards patients, and etc. but maybe I am exaggerating something. Anyway, if you are okay with any amounts billed; if you are fine with duplicate billing; if you are not mentioning second opinion in this office; if it is acceptable for you that the clinic can change your appointment time without asking your opinion; and if you never argue with this dentist at all you are probably guaranteed to be happy with their service.
