In person, the place looks totally different than the photo on their website. I consigned some nice merchandise to be auctioned there in August of 2010. When they sent payment, much of my merchandise was not listed as sold. This included furniture items that could not have been missed. I called several times, but my calls were not returned. They finally picked up their phone once, then took their phone off the hook! I don't know many businesses that would take their phone off the hook on an auction day during regular business hours. I wondered how often they hide out like this from upset customers? So, all in all, I lost a good portion of the merchandise I consigned and received no payment. In my opinion based on my experience, this is an unprofessional business to be avoided at all costs.

My experience with this firm continues to cause distress 7 months after the debacle. Know This! These people are poorly organized and do not leave you feeling anything but angry and cheated. Nearly 3 months prior to sale we set a date. References were called but I believe they were family or friends. I was moving out of state so could not be there to oversee the sale. Two weeks prior to the agreed upon date , I was informed the date was moved forward one week . When I showed email proof, this firm changed back, but didn't reschedule another commitment so my sale was double booked. As a result I was told they wouldn't have enough time to properly prepare. ( and they didn't property prepare, it was total chaos.) It got worse. As promised, they advertised the sale for Friday and Saturday . On Friday morning, in another state, I receive a call from my security service. This firm was not at my home, but the public was. They were walking through my house and had tripped my alarm. J&k said they were at the other sale and "made a mistake" advertising the sale on a day they did not intend to be there, and "made a mistake" leaving my door unlocked. So the poorly prepped sale went on a day after strangers walked through, but J&K "reassured" me "nothing was missing." Know this: J&K will not provide you with a list of items sold, nor how much items were sold for. they will tell you that at the end of the sale they let buyers walk because "they were trying to and dime me." And lastly they will bring in another firm to charge you hundreds of dollars to clean out what didn't sell so that firm can resell it for their own benefit. Im not sure if there was conflict of interest. In summary, my advice, find an estate sales firm that knows estates.

I never received a call back from anybody from the store. She said that the actual owner was gonna call me back. Maybe they just weren't interested. I don't know. They seemed interested. So my review is not on if they are good or bad or anything just that I never received a call back at all. So it's really unfair to give them anything of a star rating.
