The nursing staff in the Cardiovasculat Intensive Care Unit ("CVICU") was just as amazing. They were professional, kind, compassionate, responsive, and dedicated. Particular mention goes to (and sorry if I missed anyone) Adriana C. and Lucnise A. from the night shift; and Elienay J., Christian N., and Aaliyah from the day shift. Although I don't wish health issues on anyone, if in fact you need heart surgery, I would most definitely recommend the team at Westside.

Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. If you have a car accident as my daughter did a major one and just went to see them for follow up, they never told her any of this!!!!! My daughter has Florida blue insurance unfortunately but not anymore due the lack of customer service, over billing and failing to notify her that they can bill whatever they want for a visit for a car accident and they do not bill the car insurance. Had she known that she would have walked out of office. She and I called many times and were on hold over and hour then disconnected. By the way I am a nurse, and they charged her 479.00 for code 99214 which is outrages,62.00 for J2360 and 106.00 for 96372 just to give an injection. I did medical billing and they say that they negotiate with florida lue doctors they refer you to so please check to make sure. Everyone in this office is nasty but at the time she had no choice to get that insurance unfortunately. Your customer service sucks oh wait she can't even get into website as its always down. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and AMA and notifying newspapers and news channels as she never knew about this was never told even when she gave them car insurance info. She is too anxious stressing about owing bill. I want a response today before I start notifying everyone and I am sure many people that have complaints would love a class action lawsuit. As a medical professional the medical staff there doesn't have a clue with how to deal with patients. I will not give you my daughter's name until I hear from you, so she is not harassed

    Let me start off by saying how impressed I was with how high-tech this office is! From the moment I…read morewalked in, everything felt modern, smooth and efficient. They even have self check-in kiosks, which is such a great option if you prefer not to wait in line. The atmosphere was another pleasant surprise... the relaxing spa music playing throughout the office honestly made me feel like I was about to get a massage at a five-star resort, not sit in a waiting room. The efficiency here is unmatched. The second I checked in and sat down, they called me in. I didn't even have time to pull out my phone! I'm used to spending hours at doctor's offices, but not here. Even once I was in the exam room, I didn't wait long at all. I was in and out so quickly, I actually had to figure out what else to do with the rest of my day (a first for me at a doctor's appointment!). They also conveniently offer lab work being done here, instead of going to Quest or another location. As for Dr. Maria Cortti Ferrari... she was wonderful. Friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable as a new patient, and I left feeling confident that I chose the right office. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I'm happy I picked them, and I definitely plan on continuing my care here.

I thought it was worth writing a good one because I actually am so thankful for this office....I have to admit at first I was seeing a male Dr at this practice who didn't really understand my needs and kept telling me that I was fatigued because I'm a "mom" but I knew it was more than that. I wasn't myself. I understand everyone's different and their approach might not align well with me and that's ok. I did some research about other doctors in this practice and came across Jennifer Curro. I am so grateful for her because she immediately showed empathy and understanding. She told me not to worry and that we'd get to the bottom of this and offered to run additional testing. We definitely got to the bottom of it and figured out what was happening. She continues to follow up with me every 6 months for testing and reviews everything with me thoroughly. I feel like I owe her tremendously! Especially after not getting help I desperately needed for almost 2 years!! She's really an amazing person and quality doctor. TOP TIER As far as office experience, they're very friendly and seem to have their work under control. They're professional and respectful. I've been coming to this office for 2.5 years now and have no complaints about them at all. If anything, they make an extra effort to confirm which type of appointment you need scheduled next for example. Because my memory is terrible, by the time I get to checkout I might forget if I need to schedule my follow up or blood work. And they just tell me that they'll call me once they confirm if they're not sure or figure it out for themselves by looking at my details in the computer. Apart from this, it's definitely on the techy side. Everything is manageable through an app, scheduling appointments, rescheduling, prescription refills, lab results and even non urgent messaging. They do take a bit to respond to the messages but if it's not an urgent message that shouldn't matter because they answer within the day or 2. If the office reads this message- thank you so much for everything and I appreciate you all.

    I would be the first to say.. I was surprised with my visit in the best way…read more Most of the urgent care centers that my insurance covered closed at 4 or 6 and I was scrambling to find someone and they closed at 8. When I got there, only one other person was is in the lobby. Just a note it's small inside plus they have seating blocked off due to COVID (Which I'm okay with). The staff was nice at the front desk and the paper work wasn't that long. I had another person in front of me , so I had to wait a bit in the exam room. The PA ( I'm saying PA cause usually doctors say that they are a doctor when they walk in, if she's a doctor I really do apologize ) asked me what brought me here and actually listened to what I had to say. She told me what she thought was wrong and ordered some X-rays. Additionally, she added an X-ray to see if what I thought happened was going on as well. Got the X-rays done and what she said was the right thing and she took her time out to explain why. Gave me a shot and I was on my way home. Woke up this morning in barely any pain compared to the day before. Thanks to the staff there for proving me wrong and taking good care of me.

    I was determined to find an urgent care clinic better than MD Now. This one was just another block…read moreaway. Everyone was friendly, check in was easy, and the wait was very minimal. The doctor and nurse were very knowledgeable and, above all, CARING! Even though my test results hadn't come in yet, the doctor still called to see how I was doing anyway and gave me options if I didn't feel better. That's unheard of in my experience! I highly recommend them!

Both times it happened to me. Luckily I was early for both appointments and did not end up being late even after I sat for a few minutes in the wrong office. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and professional. The staff is wonderful. They have a great bed side manner that puts you at ease. For the CT Scan, they called me prior to let me know of the financial responsibility I had. They also called to remind me of the appointment. The office is clean and comfortable. I did not have a long wait time. They took me right after I had filled out the paperwork and paid my out of pocket responsibility. This way when I was done with my exam, I could just leave. There is plenty of free parking and a nice seating area right outside if you need to take a phone call. Excellent facility and professional staff!
