    Howdy Car Wash

    Howdy Car Wash

Is this the best car wash in the city of Cincinnati? In my experience, yes…read more Purchasing a new car last year, I took some time to try out the various car washes located around the city. My general preference is for the cost effectiveness of automated washing with hand dry for that personal touch. Howdy delivers both. Howdy has a variety of prices accommodating practically any type of wash. Interior or not. Exterior with or without hand dry. They even offer some custom detail stuff. A basic full wash with interior vacuum and exterior hand dry runs you around $15. In my experience, this seems like a pretty good value. You are usually in and out within 15 to 25 minutes depending on how busy they are. Cash or credit is accepted and they often give you coupons for your next visit. One of the best things about Howdy is that is it actually owned by a couple of police (or ex... I forget) officers who purchased Howdy as a place to employ ex-cons to give them a chance to get back on their feet. The gentlemen who I have interacted with have been nothing but friendly and appreciative of my patronage and work hard to deliver a quality service and experience. In the era of the crappy drive-through, gas station car wash, Howdy is a nice throwback that provides a human service touch with a speedy result. It's not the cheapest in town, but it is always a good wash with an inspired mission of helping those who need a second chance.

The cashier had as much personality as the towels being used to dry the cars. I also didn't like the fact that I wasn't able to add the tip to my card purchase.

Waiting on a call back. I will change my review when I'm refunded…read more Went to the touchiness automatic. Selected the $7 option, Put a $5 bill in. Screen said I still owed $2. I swiped my card. Not only did it charge my card a $10 authorization that I'm sure will disappear after the transaction goes through. It also charged me the full $7 plus tax. THATS NOT ALL After it took all that $$, the sign said that it was "out of order". So, I pressed the refund button to no avail. I won't tell you not to go here. You can decide that. But, until I hear back from these people and get my $$ back, I won't be going g back. There's no reason why they aren't checking their messages and calling people right back.

This place is now called "The Sud's Car Wash". I drove past it and decided to give it a shot since…read moreI've been seeking a touchless wash option in the area. There are some self serve bays and one touchless bay. Wash prices are $4 and up depending on the package. I opted for a $4 wash to get the winter grime off my car. I didn't expect much, but was still disappointed. The rinse left soap on the rear windows. The bumpers and sides weren't anything remotely close to clean, and the rinse left spots everywhere. There's no drying either. The self serve bays may be better, but certainly not the touchless auto wash. To add insult to injury, the credit card reader doesn't work. Not sure if it ever worked this decade. I put in a $10 for my $4 wash and got $6 in quarters. Yay...
