Creative breakfasts, i had chicken gravy, it had cheddar biscuits. The chicken was slightly dry but that was ok, the gravy covered it up. The bacon sticky bun was really good too. We are on vacation from Colorado First of al the atmosphere is very loud. We were here the day after thanksgiving 2021. We waited over 45 mi it's for our food to be served. Another reviewer said they wish they could rate food and service separately and I agree. Our breakfast at Bruncheonette was very well prepared and delicious. I loved being able to get a French press coffee as well. However, service was indifferent and scattered despite the place being practically empty. This did make the enforced "tip" grate the nerves a bit. I would personally rather have staff paid appropriately and not accept tips than automatically include a tip. I was really pleased to find such a place in Spokane. We come a couple times a year and enjoy being able to try out a food scene there after it feeling like a bit of a wasteland for the last 20 years. read more

Found Couple of Chefs Bruncheonette in Yelp and it was as big a hit as the reviews!! My daughter had the picturesque French toast, bacon, and scrambled. I went for the best seller Verde Hash with alternating splashes of habenero and jalapeño shots for some extra heat. So imagine this: I'm elbow-deep in planning a wedding and it's time to choose a caterer. In my primary search, I decide I love this one caterer .. let's call it "FANCY". I contacted "FANCY" and she was unavailable on our wedding day. Dang. Okay, move on.. As time went on, we hammered out our plans and built a more concrete idea of what we wanted for our wedding. ("FANCY" wouldn't have really fit that mold anyway.) As we became more sure of our tastes, we narrowed down what KIND of food we wanted for our wedding and contacted several restaurants who serve said food, knowing they also cater. Not one... Not two... THREE separate restaurant owners failed to even SHOW UP to our scheduled tastings and PRELIMINARY meetings despite thorough arrangements and multiple check-ins confirming our appointments. Here's where Couple of Chefs comes in .. barreling down the road in a magical food truck, saving the day. (shut up, this is my food fantasy) #1: they showed up. (I was giddy on that point alone!) #2: they had AMPLE food offerings for all kinds of tastes and dietary conditions. #3: when it came time to taste their food, I was not let down. I love trying food at different places whether it's in a brick & mortar restaurant, food truck, etc. Couple of Chefs food truck was at the STCU headquarters in Liberty Lake parking lot across from the park. Went with a few coworkers and we all had a good variety between us all. Everyone seemed to like their food. It took a little while for us to get our food...little over 15 minutes (good thing I wasn't on a tight schedule for lunch). Almost seemed like the chef forgot about my order until the person noticed I had been waiting longer than I should have. I ordered the Brick Pressed Cuban. Great flavors and cooked well. They also had cucumbers slightly pickled which was a nice compliment with the meat. The shredded pork may have been in its juice for too long though because it was just on the verge of being way too mushy. read more

Just had a delicous Rudeben (the Reuben's drunk uncle) at Couple of Chef's food truck. Delicous tweak on a favorite sandwich. Service was quick and courteous. Price was comparable to other downtown lunch places (8 for the sandwhich, 2 for the fries), but it's not bargain food like the taco trucks. Will be back to try the Moroccan Lamb wrap. read more

I wish we could rate food, service, atmosphere, value, etc separately. I feel bad giving them four stars because almost everything was absolutely wonderful. Except the service. It was mediocre at best. It started as we waited to be seated and the server walked past a few times, failing to even acknowledge us. Finally, we were seated, and the server honestly was just done for the day, I think. He didn't seem very interested in us or our order. We had to ask for a coffee refill twice, ran out if water and just decided to deal with it since we'd probably not get it before our meal was over. The food was delicious though. The menu was full of unexpected combinations that paired beautifully. It was difficult to narrow it down to just one selection! And we were all delighted with our choices. The other negative that knocks their fifth star off is that they charge a "service fee". We always tip beginning at 20%, up to 50-100% for amazing service. When businesses force me to tip, it really irks me. A gratuity is based on service. If my server barely checked on us and did only the minimum that allowed to us to actually eat, I may not want to tip them 16%. I'd rather pay the restaurant 20% and get the food and accoutrements myself! It's infuriating to me! But, back to the great stuff about the Bruncheonette. The environment was great, simple, but not too sparse, good music selection, the rest of the staff was friendly and seemed very happy to be there. I would like to come back in better weather to sit outside. We will definitely be back and will keep our fingers crossed that poor service was just an off day kind of thing. read more

We used Couple of Chefs as the caterers for our daughter's wedding this spring and could not have been happier! The food was phenomenal: everything so perfectly fresh, cooked to perfection, extremely tasty and so eloquently presented and served. You couldn't ask for nicer and more professional people to work with! I highly recommend Couple of Chef's. As a sidenote, we loved the food so much at the wedding, we visited Bruncheonette, their restaurant downtown Spokane for breakfast and it too was fabulous. I had the pleasure of dining at a wedding that utilized Couple of Chefs for their dinner. Wowza! I was really impressed with the level of deliciousness and healthiness happening. The bride and groom are vegetarians, so the dinner reflected those values. We had a few delicious salads, roasted vegetables, green beans, and a vegetarian lasagna. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed it all! Don't assume they just do the Food Truck style items- I'm pretty sure they can make any event delicious! read more

Quickly becoming my favorite food truck in Spokane! These guys really understand that a food truck can and should be a restaurant on wheels, not just a cart for slinging cheap, greasy eats. Everything I've had has been delicious. The portions and huge, big enough to share, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. The prices are a little higher than what you'd see in a more established, competitive mobile food scene like Portland's, but I think the quality of the food and friendly service more than makes up for it. I love that they have started setting up outside Iron Goat Brewery on a regular basis, and I hope that continues! Bottom line, give Couple of Chefs a try. This is my newest favorite brunch place. I ate the whole wheat cinnamon waffle. It was a work of art! It was served nicely with syrup, whipped cream, butter and strawberry jam. If I didn't know better, I would guess I was in downtown Portland, because the ambiance was so metropolitan. I loved the Roast House coffee in a bottomless cup. I'm glad it was the day we changed clocks because there was a line out the door and down the block by the time we completed our meal. Great way to start the day! It's close enough to Monroe Street bridge to enjoy a view of the Spokane River gorge along the Centennial Trail afterwards. read more

Ate here at the brewery they were at tonight! I had the Reuben it was delicious and my husband had the 82 burger. He is from detroit and is always unhappy with food over here. His mouth was watering and he was like this is the best burger I have had since I have been in Spokane. The fries were very good as well. Pass this one up! Thought I would try the Hawaiian sandwich as I walked by - If you put the word chef on your van, please represent and at least season the meat properly. The pineapple was wasnt caramelized and sweet, it was more just soft. Lacking in flavor and taste. Lacking Salt. The size was ok, The pork was cooked decent. I hate misleading advertisment. The menu clearly said "shoe string fries" . They are not shoe string fries at all but just typical regular sized, fast food style fries. Please dont false advertise. Couple of Chefs catered our wedding this July and it was spectacular! From the beginning, they were so easy to work with. We asked for thai food and they gave us so many delicious options to choose from, we had difficulty narrowing it down. Day of, they showed up and made the most delicious food! We had so many people, including our photographer (who has done 200+ weddings), say that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We totally agreed. Joile made our cake as well and it was beautiful and some of the best cake I have ever had! The frosting was smooth and buttery and the cake was moist. If I could go back and plan it all over again, I would choose Joile and Allen in a second! I definitely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or party in the Spokane area. read more

When I was planning my wedding it was built on the foundation of two things I knew I wanted. A good view & a good meal. Jolie & Alan are AWESOME. They met with my husband and I and just spend an hour asking us what we wanted, and what we liked and didn't like. They came up with a menu based on what we wanted. They were so friendly, and open to our ideas. Also the food they made was AMAZING!! All of the guests that came to our wedding RAVED about the food. We had smoked pulled chicken sandwiches, brisket, a baked potato bar, seasonal veggies, maple bacon baked beans, tri cheese mac n cheese, and miniature pies for our fall wedding. All the things we loved! They were always open to changes along the way, and answered every question we had. Another cool thing is that since they operate out of a food truck, they cook their food onsite, so it is fresh and all the more awesome! My fiance and I got married in Washington but planned our wedding from across the country so we looked for vendors primarily online, Couple of Chefs' website and responses immediately stood out as young, modern, professional, and flexible. Allen and Joile Skyped with us initially to discuss our likes and dislikes, what we were envisioning and a budget, they were both incredibly knowledgable about food, extremely professional and very respectful of our budget (something we did not find in every vendor). After our meeting they sent us a few menu options to choose from within a small price range. We settled on an elevated taco bar, a three tiered cake, and used Couple of Chefs' bar-tending service. The final price was still cheaper for all portions of their services than most I could find in the area. The day before the wedding Allen and Joile came out to our venue and scouted things out for providing their services which we greatly appreciated. The day of the wedding they ran everything perfectly, they decorated the food table with items we had left from our DIY decorating, the Taco Bar set up was classy and beautiful, the cake was gorgeous and Joile used our flowers to top it, the bartender was friendly and fun and most importantly the food was delicious. We had many many compliments on the incredible meat, great salsas, and fresh spread perfect for an outdoor summer wedding. Allen and Joile also kept us on schedule - reminding us to cut the cake and packing all the food up and refrigerating it when they left - all in all they were amazingly professional, wonderful and the food was perfect. My husband and I got lunch today at the food truck, parked behind Sacred Heart. I got the Pommes Frites Burrito, he got the Roast Pork Sandwich, and we got a side of Tater Tots for the kids (ok really, for me, but I gave the kids first dibs ;)). The burrito was super delicious, and the thing that really drove home how great these guys are is the fact that this could easily have been a sloppy huge mess of a burrito. But it wasn't. I've worked in kitchens for a lot of years, and to find people who care enough to roll a burrito correctly so that it doesn't fall apart and you've got all the ingredients in each bite, it's hard to come by! It was delicious, and big--I could only eat half of it (plus the rest of the kids' tots) for lunch. My husband loved his sandwich as well, and also commented how rare it is to get a sandwich with the ingredients evenly distributed. Our food was up pretty quickly after we ordered, and at $20 for two delicious huge sandwiches plus tots, I'm calling that a bargain. read more
