Courtesy Cleaners & Laundry did a great job -- my husband's suit and dress pants came back looking perfectly pressed and clean and the turnaround time was quick (about a day and a half). However, they are a bit on the expensive side -- it cost $22.73 for three pieces. Also, note that their "drive-thru" isn't really a drive-thru -- you'll need to get out of your car and go inside to drop off or pick up. read more

Avoid at all costs. After searching for what we hoped would be a reliable dry cleaner we had three of my wife's pieces destroyed by courtesy. - Dress pants went missing for two weeks then came back with blue stains all over - ruined! - Silk dress was left streaky and faded from incorrect pressing. - Blazer was left with huge stains on the side that make it unwearable. Better off paying a premium at Tide or just trying to wash things yourself at home. read more

Store at Lockwood Ridge and University. RUDE and Arrogant manager! a couple month ago or so I took some shirts to this cleaners for the first time (because it had a drive up window). I asked for the shirts to be laundered and a few days later I picked them up and they were done just as I asked and at a reasonable price. The lady at the counter was very pleasant and I decided to use this as my 'go to' cleaners. A month later I took 5 shirts back to be laundered and was told that the store was now under new management and that the pricing might be different. I asked for the shirts to be laundered, no starch and pressed (NOT Dry Cleaned!). When I picked up these shirts a few days later the woman at the drive up presented me with a bill that was much higher than I expected . . . she said that they HAD to dry clean the shirts since they would be damaged if they were washed. I pointed out that the tags all said "Machine Wash" and all she could say that it was their policy to Dry Clean when in doubt. I objected and she reluctantly said that she would make a note to give me a credit for the difference between Dry Cleaning and laundering on the next order. Fast forward to today - I take in 6 shirts and a pair of pants (all of which had a tag that said "Machine Wash". Just wash and press . . . simple enough?! I mentioned to this same woman that these were to be laundered and NOT dry cleaned, whereupon she tells me that that would be a big problem since the shirts could be damaged in the process and that she would only allow them to be dry cleaned. She was the rudest person I could imagine and when I said that I wanted the shirts done as I asked she said "sometimes the customer is WRONG!" Needless to say I took my bundle and left. Oh, and on a side note - I pulled up to the drive up window and saw that there was an "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the sliding glass door. That same woman was sitting inside looking at me from across the room with a blank stare. I'm sure she saw me but didn't make any attempt to wave me in. I suspect that the door was not out of order and that she just didn't want to deal with the heat. If the customer service at this location is indicative of their service elsewhere they will be out of business soon. I give this store a 0 out of 10 primarily because of this woman (who claims to be the General Manager). Hopefully the ownership will take notice and eliminate this behavior!!! read more

Courtesy Cleaners came highly recommended to me, as I needed a dry cleaner since I've recently moved. Overall, they honestly do a good job. I brought in 2 gowns (each at different times) that had come from thrift stores and were in need of some cleaning to get rid of any odors/small spots that they might have had. Both dresses came back clean without any issues. Turnaround time is quick! One gown was ready the next day, the other was ready within 2 days as it had rhinestones and was a bit trickier to clean properly. The only downside is that they are a bit pricier. It was a few dollars shy of $30 for one gown. I also was a little frustrated that I was told I was being charged for two pieces as one of the gowns has a removable skirt. Finding a quality dry cleaner that doesn't ruin things and has a fast turnaround time is a rare thing nowadays, regardless of the price, so I'm giving this one a solid 4. read more

When I lived in Sarasota I always used Courtesy Cleaners. I never had one single issue! They are reasonably priced and do a great job. And - get ready for this - I moved to Michigan and completely forgot to pick up my clothes from CC...a year and a half later the call finally came through and they arranged for my clothes to be shipped to Michigan! Just moved here and had to find a dry cleaner so gave this place a shot. Very friendly and customer service oriented. My clothes were ready same day! I wasn't expecting that. And the price was great. About $15 for a ladies suit and men's tuxedo shirt. Far less than I was paying in the state where I lived before moving here. Everything was well done and I'll be glad to visit them again. read more

I had an older jacket that was my late fathers sent in to be serviced. I received a call after drop off that it would be $65 dollars to be fixed as it needed to be sent to a specialist so I agreed to this. Meanwhile, with no ETA given.. I called week after week with a different answer on arrival date. A lady at the desk once told me to not listen to the other gals because they were just being lazy and didn't want to go to the back to search for it (true story) as I was getting frustrated with the run around. It was always next Friday next Friday next Friday. Meanwhile, I finally get an answer 36 days later that it's ready for pick up last time I called. I picked up and nothing was fixed. All stains still remained. I would at least think if you can't fix something to call and advise this and still I had to pay $65 dollars for a jacket they gave me that couldn't be repaired or have the stains removed. Just not good business to charge this knowing it couldn't be fixed and only to tell me this when inside to pick up. I'm not one to usually post reviews but I wouldn't charge somebody full price knowing it couldn't be fixed and not let the customer know till day of pickup.. read more

I have never in my life had such a horrible customer service experience while dropping off dry cleaning. I was dropping off 6 articles of my husbands clothing for dry cleaning (2 dress shirts, 2 suit pants and 2 sports coats). The lady checking in my clothes was beyond rude in her demeanor and tone of voice. Telling me that unless I could tell her exactly what the stains were on my husbands sports jacket that they would not clean it. I explained that I didn't know, and she stood there very rudely saying that she had to write something down on the tag as to what it was. Then she proceeded to ask me where these clothes were kept??!! I asked her why she was asking me these strange questions in such a accusatory way and she proceeded to ask me where these clothes were kept!!! I told her in a bag where we keep clothes for dry cleaning. I then couldn't believe I was answering her rediculous questions.....I quickly came to my senses realizing that I am a paying customer and didn't deserve to be treated this way,....I picked up my clothes and told her I would take my business elsewhere because she was so rude. Never go here. This place is not appreciative of its customers. read more
