My room was 47 that was upstairs with a big king bed! Great night sleep... And, I left my earrings there and they were so nice to have found them and mailing them back to me. I am so grateful. And, they have the most amazing beautiful plants in their lobby surrounded by memorabilia that warmed my heart for a tired traveler. It's not easy to run a business and property like this. I appreciated my stay very much.

Trisha and Greg are wonderful people and really make a weary traveller more than welcome. We were sad to leave after only 1 night would love to have had longer here. For breakfast we were served up the most AMAZING Zucchini and cheese frittata and churro pancakes. Yum! You won't regret staying here in the large comfy beds. We were so lucky to find the Joshua Inn that by the end of it we didn't want to leave! The owners, Greg and Trish, were so kind and hospitable during our stay. We would wake-up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee just outside of our bedroom door with a delicious gourmet breakfast in the beautifully decorated dining room, and then end our evenings with a lovely glass, or two, of wine and a handful of goodies from the dessert bar located in one of the sitting rooms. The house if filled with lots of knickknacks that were fun to look at, Trish's little box of essential oils that you may smell, a variety of books you can thumb through while enjoying some time on the outdoor patio, and a television in the living room in case you want to just veg out. Our rooms, the Kuschel Suite and the Captains Quarters, were upstairs and offered a cozy place to lay your head down at night. My room, the Captains Quarters, was themed very much as you might think -sailor-esque -  with a queen sized bed and a small half bath within the room. My friends room, the Kuschel Suite, featured a spacious full bath with a lovely claw foot tub with a great water pressure rain shower. Since I didn't have a shower in my room, the Kuschel Suite and the Captains Quarters shared the use of the shower/tub. One of my favorite parts of our stay was their sweet dog, SUGAR BEAR! I just wanted to pick him up and cuddle him anytime he scurried by. He would come and greet you anytime you walked through the door, which is always nice. Greg and Trish are such wonderful people to sit and talk to. Their hospitality truly made it feel as if we were at home talking with our families around the fireplace. The Joshua Inn has so much character and I loved looking through all the history regarding the home. The name, Joshua Inn,  has so much meaning behind it of itself. It's the attention to detail that makes this place so special. This was my first time staying at a B&B and the Joshua Inn definitely set the bar high for all of the future B&B visits.

We had our wedding here, and while it's absolutely gorgeous, it's not worth the anxiety. The people…read morethat run this place are awful. We booked Loma vista over a year before our actual wedding. There were about 6 months in between the time we booked and our wedding date that we could not get ahold of anybody. We tried phone numbers, emails, and even drove the 2.5 hours to show up in person multiple times, to find no one there. We had already paid and were not sure if our wedding was even going to be able to happen there anymore. My husband had to call around all of the businesses in Big Sur to track down what happened to the people at Loma vista and find a phone number or email for someone there. This was the worst experience ever. Luckily we finally got ahold of someone and everything worked out. No compensation was offered surprisingly. And happily our wedding was beautiful and the best day ever. No thanks to the "wedding coordinator" that came with our package. My family ended up doing everything while she continuously disappeared. Anyway, would not recommended, no matter how beautiful....

Let me shape your note so it flows beautifully but still feels personal and honest: Arriving at The Pinnacle Inn late in the evening was a bit of an adventure for us. We reached the gate around 8pm in complete darkness, with no network service and no easy way to get in. The winding dirt road lined with grapevines felt a little intimidating in the dark, and I have to admit, we were feeling a bit unsure at first. But once we sorted out the gate and settled in, everything changed. The next morning, we headed out for a hike in the forest, and with the sunrise lighting up the hills, we finally saw just how incredibly beautiful this location truly is. What felt a little scary the night before transformed into rolling countryside, peaceful vineyards, and breathtaking views. When we returned from our hike, I began to fully appreciate and fall in love with the entire property. In the daylight, The Pinnacle Inn feels warm, welcoming, and truly like home. Thank you for creating such a special place. What started as uncertainty turned into a stay we'll always remember.

I called to make a reservation and spoke to the owner, Lisa. She was so warm, accommodating, and helpful-when I hung up the phone, I said I could be friends with that gal. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by the friendliest, most beautiful, Great Pyranese brother and sister duo, Auggie & Gigi. Then, we met Lisa. She was so welcoming to us and so beautiful inside and out. She explained everything to us, showed us our spectacular room, Adelaide, that was full of upscale amenities. The entire room and bath area was amazing. The grand fireplace, the bathtub for two, the linens on the bed, the fabulous bottle of wine-I could go on. Even the coffee was from a local, organic coffee maker. Now let's get to the three-course breakfast we were served everyday of our four-day stay. We felt like we were at a three-star Michelin restaurant that included incredible homemade juices by Lisa. Each course was so presented so elegantly, but also in an atmosphere that made you feel right at home. Of course we went wine tasting. Lisa and Rob (Lisa's husband and co-owner) recommended wonderful wineries that we went to, and we were very pleased. Everywhere we went I had to tell them where we were staying and how beautiful and relaxing the B&B was. Back on our first morning there, Rob had taken us for a tour of the farm where we saw the game room, wedding area, the vineyard, and my favorite-the beautiful highlander cattle. We had breakfast every morning and it was hot, fresh and provided variety each day. We stayed in Room 21, La Porte. It included a private side entrance outside the main house which was great. I think our room location was a little noisier than other rooms due to the entrance area outside the room being used by staff and some other guests. This wasn't a bad thing for us but something to note for those looking for quiet. We'll definitely come back to Pacific Grove and the Gosby will definitely be a consideration for lodging.

The only downside was that it got a little cool in our room at times (it would be fine in the summer probably but this was in mid February). I put 2 extra blankets on top and we turned on both heaters, the one in the bathroom and the one in our room. Once the heaters had been on for a while it got quite warm and cozy. I would recommend they purchase a nice big down comforter for the room because then we would not need to use as much heat. There was an imitation down comforter but those are not as warm. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and nice and helpful. The inn was very clean. The food was excellent. I ate way too many calories for the breakfast but it was so delicious. I didn't gain weight on this trip though, maybe because of all the walking I did, Pacific Grove is an adorable little town and the Lovers Point walking trail is delightful. Make sure to admire the cute houses in the town. So many fun little details. There is a combo bookstore/coffee shop next door to the Gosby House and it was so nice to head over there one morning and get a cappuccino and chat with the other people in the cafe. We also went to the aquarium which is close by and to the Sardine Factory restaurant, which is very nice. One of the perks of staying at the Gosby House is their fresh baked cookies and wine hour. We don't drink alcohol but the fresh baked cookies were delicious, we definitely enjoyed! My favorite was the chocolate/chocolate. Yum. I would definitely return to the Gosby House or back to another 4 sisters inn. I got a really good impression. We also went to the Pacific Thai restaurant which is about 1 block away from the Gosby House. That was great too and I had a good artichoke soup. Parking was quite easy for the Gosby House. They don't have their own lot but it was easy to find parking very close. Check in time was 4pm I think but we got there a little early and our room was ready. The other guests were peaceful and nice and clearly having a good time. The inn was mostly quiet and peaceful. It was quiet at night. I would highly recommend this Inn. Overall it was a very good experience.
