I highly recommend Courtesy Movers! They did my recent move from a small 1-bedroom house in Waldo to a larger, combined-household home located in Roeland Park. Josh originally helped discuss my moving needs, scheduling, and base quote over the phone. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. The day of the move, two young men (Chris and Isaac) called to let me know they were on their way and when they'd be arriving. They were slightly behind (only about 20 minutes), but very communicative and professional. Chris and Isaac were so great! Once there, they were friendly, polite, efficient, and careful with moving all of my belongings. I even had someone else pick up a futon that I was not moving with me, and Isaac helped carry it out for them. Once everything was loaded, they promptly arrived at my new house right behind me and completed the rest of the move very quickly, taking direction where needed. I might add - it was the hottest day of the summer so far and they did not let that deter them one bit, nor did they complain at all. I bought them water and Gatorade at QT and they were set. Everything went seamlessly, the final cost was right on target, and I actually ended up spending less than I had budgeted. Moving sucks, but Courtesy Movers helped make this experience much better. read more

One star is too many. Don't use these guys. Not dependable. Josh canceled our move the morning of the move while we were waiting for them. Josh said that his guys didn't show. This is unacceptable for a professional moving company. We'd used him before with no issues but this is unacceptable and puts us in a very very bad place. Now we sit with no movers scrambling to figure out how to move last minute. We had arranged for a large truck and three guys. This is the worst thing. That can happen. read more

I would not recommend this moving company. Even though I saw very positive reviews before booking my move with Courtesy, my experience was negative. Josh quoted me for a two-hour move (saying that would be more than enough time to move my 1-bedroom apartment), but my move took 6 hours. I was very disappointed at both the huge time and cost difference between the quote and what I needed to pay. Also disappointing were my movers, Arthur and Ed. While very kind and pleasant, neither had any sense of urgency to get my things moved quickly. Both moved extremely slowly. I found one of smoking while loading the truck and the other looking at his phone every chance he got. To try and speed things up, I moved my belongings alongside them and moved twice as fast as they did. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my experience and would only recommend this company if you obtain a written quote with a firm quote in advance (what I should have done). read more

Let me start with saying how nice and hard the employees who moved us were. They were on time, polite, and fun to work with. They pointed out two items to us that were damaged on accident, they contacted the owner (Josh) and said he would be in contact with us to fix the issues. We gave the employees a huge cash tip. They did great and earned it. We used Courtesy Movers LLC on June 13th. We had not heard back a couple days later so I called and left a message. A couple days later on June 18th I had not heard back so I texted and sent an email. Eventually about 1.5 weeks later I finally got a hold of Josh and we set up a time for him to come on July 11th. He came and took pictures and said he would research the cost to replace and get back with me. I have not heard from him since his visit on July 11th. I have called and sent a couple of text messages and he has just completely ignored me. We spent over $800 with Courtesy Movers LLC and it's too bad it has to end like this when it could have been easily resolved. I dislike giving negative reviews but I am left with no choice. We have a dented and deeply scratched refrigerator door handle, a handful of broken dresser knobs, and a scratched 16 cube shelving system. The dresser knobs and the refrigerator door handle were shown to us by his employees who admitted fault. Search their company on BBB. read more

Courtesy Movers helped us move from one condo to another and they were excellent. They sent 2 young men who were professional, hard working and really nice guys. We had a large Crate and Barrel couch that we did not think would make it through the door. They tried every angle and finally removed the base legs. I think other movers would have given up but they kept at it. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more
