From strolling through the gardens before the show, to sipping a drink at the outdoor bar, to the show itself, the whole Theatre by the Sea experience is lovely from start to finish. There is also a bistro where you can enjoy dinner, but we have yet to experience it. We most recently saw "Always" (the Patsy Cline story). The acting was fantastic, and the singing voices of the two leads was top notch. Last year we saw Beautiful, the Carol King story and again, the talent was incredible. Our first show at Theatre by the Sea was Mary Poppins, and it was so much fun watching Mary fly over the audience with her parrot head umbrella in hand. We opt for orchestra seats whenever possible and have always been able to see the show weel from the floor. We have sat in the balcony before, but once you get beyond the first two rows of balcony seating, it is difficult to see over the heads of the people in front of you. We love it there and I hope that once you visit Theatre by the Sea, you too will be captivated by this venue's charm and talent, and you will find yourself returning there over and over again.

The only thing is they stuck us in a corner with other people's painted pottery so it felt like they were just throwing us somewhere. My biggest issue was the fact it was $60 for 2 mugs that we painted ourselves. I understand they have to bake it. But $60 for 2 mugs really just feels extremely steep. I could see $40-$45 at the most. Especially since I picked the most basic standard coffee mug. The dinosaur mug I can see being a little bit more because it's not just a standard mug. The paints were also majority empty. I kept having to find one that wasn't empty.

This fair was sooooo much fun!…read more The cattle and pigs were adorable and seeing the ribbons they had won was exciting. I only wish they had a petting zoo. I loved walking around and seeing all of the wares brought to the fair - from hand made jewelry to tapestries to wood signs and all kinds of beautiful trinkets! I really enjoyed the fried dough - fresh and hot and perfect with tons of powdered sugar! I played several games and won some prizes which was expensive but a fun time anyway. The only thing I did not do at this fair was ride the rides - they had all of the classics - the rock and roller, the zipper, the music express. This is a great place for a family to spend the day or the entire weekend!

I saw lots of people covering their ears with their hands. They are supposed to enhance the fair, not become the main event. Like most, when attending a fair I looked forward to fried dough. The fire department running the "Delicious Doughboys" spot must be reheating their product, or they don't know how to cook it. The worst fried dough I've ever had - overcooked and crunchy. They probably don't think anyone notices, we do. I also suspect they left the powdered sugar out in the rain, so it got wet and clumped together. Animal displays all good and free parking.

This preserved entertainment relic of the past proudly hosts modern day events in its cozy theater, serving up drinks and light food fare like popcorn and hot dogs. Within its intimate space, you feel like you've taken a step back in time with furniture and decorations from decades ago including old movie advertisements on its walls. The gentleman serving the popcorn was attentive and friendly even though the line to get that food was a little long. This historical landmark stands out as an eclectic venue not too far from beautiful Narragansett Beach. For something different, consider renting it for your next event.

Edwards Auditorium is one of the many performance venues at the University of Rhode Island. The building has recently undergone improvements, so seats are more comfortable, bathrooms more accessible, and overall appearance is sharp. I love this auditorium because every event I have ever been to has seemed intimate. You aren't in a gym, or a sporting arena. You can actually see the person on stage, and become easily transported to their world. The audio system is fantastic, so you won't miss a word, nor a note. Events take place almost every weekend, and most are open to the public. I shy from giving this venue 5 stars because it does not have the best parking. If you are a student, one either walks, or knows the secret safe parking lots. If this is your first time to URI or to Edwards Auditorium, you have to search for open lots along Upper College Road. I would plan on giving yourself an extra 15 minutes to search, park, and then walk to the auditorium!

AJ was amazing with the kids, guiding them through exciting art activities with so much patience and enthusiasm. She was able to keep a large party of 16 kids engaged even though the age group was a tad on the younger side. One of the coolest parts? AJ even took music requests! The kids got to rock out to Taylor Swift while they painted, crafted, and danced around--it added such a fun, lively vibe to the whole party . We also found out she has a Taylor Swift summer camp posted. The space was bright, colorful, and perfectly set up for little artists to let their imaginations run wild. There's even a Moms' night out option where you can bring your favorite cheese platter! Every child left with their own artwork and a huge smile on their face. It was the kind of party they'll be talking about for weeks. If you're looking for something creative, engaging, and truly joyful for your child's next celebration, we can't recommend AJ at Hammer Stain in North Kingstown enough!

My daughter changed her prepurchased item last minute and the owner was very accommodating. Was a really nice/relaxing time. Would like to go back after being able to explore the store....they teach/do large knitting, custom signs (and its easier than I thought), pottery and more. I went to a special event yesterday at LWF and it was so much fun! They had amazing vendors, a food…read moretruck, lavender popcorn and lemonade to buy, animals roaming the grounds and a great shop. All of the vendors had a similar "artsy/hippie vibe" which i loved. It felt like an event more for adults than many farms that make them loud and fun for kids. This was kid friendly, but def more zen and upscale. They also had beautiful animals that were friendly and roaming very happily. It was very peaceful. I purchased some amazing lavender candles too. Such a perfect September Saturday!

Beautiful lavender farm off of route 1 in Wakefield. Came for a gong bath/sound healing event and…read moreit was wonderful. They have pick your own lavender and a small farm store. During my visit I saw some ducks, camels and a white peacock. The smell was amazing and the setting was perfect for the event.
