I've previously rented equipment from home depot. This time I opted to give them my business. The equipment I needed was an auger. The one I previously rented from home depot was a one person model that had a lot of power and was more than suitable for $80. This time I opted to give a local business a chance and to try a two person auger for $100. The employees joked that it would have enough power to knock us off our feet. The auger was so pathetic that it couldn't even pierce the soil it was meant for. It rotated in place for several moments like a pathetic joke. A year prior the home depot equivalent was more than suitable for knocking out a similar task in under an hour. I suspect the bit used was never properly maintained and as such ridiculously dull. Disappointed I returned the bit and had them swap it for another. The other bit was equally dull and unable to perform. After a few hours with that underwhelming auger I opted to return that worthless machine. I'm now out $100 and l will now have to finish the task with a series of shovels. Needless to say I'm disappointed at the equipment rented and have no interest in renting anything of that caliber from them ever again. Either they don't take care of their own equipment or they buy cheap powerless tools. This was easily the biggest waste of money I've spent all year. read more

They take your money for trailer rental then act like they don't want to rent it sorry company they took me for 214$

I Rented high priced equipment from here often. I rented a piece of equipment for my employees and Courthouse said that my guys flipped the machine and there making me pay for the "damages" to the machine. If I pay $500+ for a 8 hour rental I expect to have an insurance policy on that machine and there was not. So im now stuck with a $1400 bill to pay for a machine that im not exactly sure what happened to it. The moral of the story is they are not like most other companies that have an insurance policy to cover any accidental damages. Be aware of exactly what your signing. I'm all for small business and supporting that but be aware. read more

Let this be a warning that they will possibly use you as a bank to fund the equipment maintenance and repairs for anything that might break while using their equipment. I Rented a Bobcat from this company and they first delivered it with the wrong size hydraulic hoses and this caused one of the hoses to break within 1 minute of use. The delivery guy returned and picked up the bad hose and returned about two hours later with another hose and some hydraulic extension hoses. He proceeded to secure the extension hoses with one zip tie. At some point the hoses got caught in between the grapple attachment and the Bobcat and the hydraulic hose got pinched and ruptured. They said that it was my fault because they supposedly told me to watch the hose to make sure it didn't get pinched which was a bold faced lie. The delivery guy was at fault because he should've done a better job of securing the extension hoses and used more than one zip tie. I really don't even think they should have put extension hoses on the Bobcat to begin with. How can an operator concentrate on loading and unloading and trying to watch around them when they supposedly need to watch these extension hoses?!? What kind of company thinks this is ok? They told me I was responsible for buying a replacement extension hose and hydraulic fluid. I agreed to buy it at the time, even though I disagreed with it being my fault, because I needed to continue using the Bobcat and they agreed to give me a 10 percent discount which amounted to around $40. I went and bought the hose which I found out cost around $60 and I decided to go ahead and pay for it and told them I also needed some hydraulic fluid. I stepped away and let my wife pay because my hands had hydraulic fluid all over them. After we left, I found out that the total was $115 including tax and I found out that the hydraulic fluid was $44 which I didn't expect. I went ahead and decided to eat the charge because I had work to do with the Bobcat and figured I could work something out with the rental company later on. After getting the brand new hydraulic hose back to the Bobcat, I tried to remove the old hydraulic fittings from the hose and was unable to because the fitting were very tight and I couldn't get them to break free from the old hose. I decided to use the Bobcat without the extension hoses because we had to get work done and immediately found that there was a leak around one of the fittings on the shorter hydraulic hoses. We tried to fix tighten the fitting but it just kept leaking. I called the rental company which had just closed about 5 minutes before and no one answered. I then called the delivery guy and he said they were closed and he couldn't do anything. I asked that he call his boss and have him call me but never received a call. We continued to use the Bobcat since the leak was small and since I had hydraulic fluid to put in it. We went to refill the hydraulic fluid a second time and the hydraulic cap broke off because it was so old and in poor condition. We continued to use the Bobcat and had another hydraulic line which ruptured because of a spot where it has been wearing over a long time and which had the metal braiding exposed. Once they picked up the Bobcat, they not only charged me for the full rental price even though I was only able to use it for about 3 hours but they also charged me the deposit because of all the stuff that broke that they said was my fault. I tried to resolve this issue with the company fairly and I spoke with the owner Charles Black. He seemed nice and it appeared that he would work toward an agreement but in the end they charged me the full rental amount, plus the deposit and they wanted to charge me additional amounts for the hydraulic cap that was broken and the fittings on the hydraulic hose. I also had to pay for the other parts out of my pocket. I offered to give them the replacement hose and the remaining hydraulic fluid in exchange for a credit and they didn't want it. read more

If there was a place for a zero that's what this place would get. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. They tried to charge me twice on my rental, said delivery was free and would be there at 12 on a Monday but didn't arrive til Wednesday night. The owner seems to be on some meds and could probably use some more. Stay away don't go. read more

If I had to sum up my dealings with this company in one word, PHENOMENAL would be it! My company rents over a half million worth of equipment a year from Sunbelt all over the southeast. I've never had more professional or friendly service than I have with these people. It's hard to find a business these days that's not looking to gouge you at every turn. These people have been more than fair to me every time I deal with them. It has been a pleasure and I look forward to doing future business with this company. Thanks! this company left us in 90+ degree weather stuck on the side of the highway because their old tire on the trailer blew out. When we called to ask for help, the owner Charlie blamed the blow out on us and told us he would charge us not only for the 'service call', but also for the tire. I asked him how much the service call would be and he had told my husband $50, then turned around and told me $75 PLUS the cost of the tire (which he would not tell me how much THAT would cost) AND would lose our deposit AND would NOT receive the 1/2 day refund because it would be PAST 3:00pm by the time they fixed it and got it back to the shop. Therefore, my husband and I had to buy a new tire AND have it mounted on the rim AND he put it back on the trailer with NO HELP NOR ASSISTANCE from the owner CHARLIE. Thank you Charlie for the worst customer service we have ever encountered. Hope you enjoy the new tire. Oh, and thanks for letting us know we weren't the only ones you have screwed by forcing them to purchase a new tire for your trailer. read more
