It was the first time I had met a hypnotherapist, so I did not know what to expect. I told her about my ongoing struggles of my life and then she told me about the whole process of hypnotherapy. I told her that my main problems were anxiety and depression. So, she put me into a deep sleep to help me explore the roots of my problems. For the past year, I have been going to her and she helped me greatly. It is thanks to her that my mind and health has gotten much better than before. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs help. Jessica is very nice and she will always do her best to help you overcome obstacles.

From the moment we connected via email, I had a good feeling about her. She responded promptly, and she even communicated with me via text message, which I found very personable and accessible. Her office is easy to locate and is located on a serene property surrounded by trees and nature. I found it calming before I even walked inside. Inside is a beautifully decorated office space, I would call it quite simple and zen. She gave me a little tour on my first visit. One of the many things I enjoy about my sessions with Jessica is that she takes the time to ask me questions about how I have been doing over the last couple of weeks. She is a wonderful listener and is always concerned about how I am feeling and what is going on in my life. She always remembers what we spoke about and remembers my loved ones' names, which I find very thoughtful and nice. After we catch up on life, she asks me what my main concern(s) are currently. I tell her what they are and then she proceeds to guide me through a meditative hypnosis wherein we focus on the topic or person of my choice. From the first session, I felt a weight lifted off my chest. Three sessions after that, I feel more empowered, confident, and peaceful. Meditation is something I have been learning and practicing for a few years. At times during meditation, one can feel vulnerable and fearful. I feel protected and safe when Jessica guides me through a meditation/hypnosis, and that is extremely important for it to be effective. Hypnosis was something I have never done before, but always wanted to try. I have learned in my personal studies that much of our inner healing takes place when we are silent and still. I find that silence to be very healing - even though it's hard sometimes to be still and silent for longer than 5 minutes for someone as restless as me. She guides me through a meditation that I helped create (my happy place is a beautiful beach). She has also guided me through other various hypnotic states. I have learned how to better meditate and visualize whatever results I want. I have also learned how to focus more on gratitude and less on fear-based thought patterns and behaviors. It's hard to describe how helpful meditation and hypnosis are - but I believe they're the best kind of therapy that exist. Jessica is one of the most kind hearted and also professional people I have ever worked with. She has given me tools that I can take with me and use any time in my life. She has a VERY calming presence and voice, and she fluctuates her tone during the hypnosis, which I find to be very pleasant and relaxing. It's safe to say that I recommend Jessica Lin to anyone who is ready to heal whatever is preventing them from living the life of their dreams. Thank you Jessica.

Kim Cogle is simply the BEST!…read more Prior to our first appointment, my only experience with hypnosis was limited to a show at the NTC Great Lakes, IL Enlisted Club over 40 years ago. When the stage hypnotist called for volunteers, I exploded out of my seat to get his attention and was rewarded with a spot in the lights. Much to my disappointment, and in spite of repeated attempts by the entertainer, he couldn't 'put under his spell'. So, when two different friends, one a clinical psychologist, the other a highly educated intelligence officer, suggested I consider hypnotherapy to manage chronic pain, I was a bit skeptical, but made an appointment with Kim anyway. By way of background: for the past five years and have done everything possible to manage what has become overwhelming lower back pain, including: surgery, cortisone steroid injections, radio frequency ablation, acupressure, massage therapy, chiropractic re-adjustment, inversion boots and table, all with temporary and limited success. I simply won't consider opioid pain meds. At our first session, I was amazed by how much time Kim took to understand, not just my pain, but was genuinely interested in me: my history, my life, and my aspirations. Over the course of five sessions beginning in June, I've come to think of her more as a friend than a therapist. She's guided me on a journey to unlock my own (forgotten) resources to overcome what was debilitating, bone-on-bone arthritis pain. Bonus! Along the way I've begun a dedicated weight loss and exercise program, AND have been working on a manuscript that's been gathering dust for over 20 years! I know, I know, you're thinking, this sounds too good to be true; either this guy is brainwashed or is experiencing some type of placebo effect. And while it's possible the latter is true, I'm just too much of a salty dog to have been brainwashed. Nevertheless, I HAVE noticed a reduction in my pain, I HAVE lost weight, I HAVE exercised more often since June than in the preceding 12 months combined, and I HAVE nearly completed a book that I just couldn't find the energy to work on before. No matter what kind of rut or (bad) habit you may find yourself, hypnotherapy as practiced by Kim Cogle, CHt, may just be the resource you've been seeking. A guarantee you'll experience the kind of success I've had isn't something I can offer; however, I promise you this, you'll NEVER find a more empathetic, nor a more genuine practitioner of the healing arts than Kim. For me, she's been a life changer! Tony Palm BMC (SW/DV) USN (Ret)

Kim and she had us pick our quit date and she gave us the tools to prepare for our appt. She told us to have the inside of our car cleaned out well because the cigarette smell would not be pleasant after our session. We brought a bag of cigarette butts from the last few days in a zip lock bag. We did as she told us. We both sucked down a couple cigarettes before going to her office and looked at each other with hope and threw our packs away. Miss. Kim was very warm and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. In the details we gave, she noted any fears we had or concerns. Couldn't have been more patient. After the session was over, my husband and I walked out of there and was very relaxed. We were stuck in traffic for what seems like forever and it took about 3 hours to get home. We didn't need or want to smoke from that day forward. That was over 3 years ago . I'm going back to Miss. Kim for other issues. I will keep you posted.
