Dr. Balint is an Outstanding Doctor!! I have been a patient…read moreof Dr. Balint for several years and he is extremely exceptional!! He is the reason why I am not in a wheelchair and/or bedridden. He is the reason why I retired with time instead of disability. He is the reason why I can watch my grandchildren and, I was able to travel to Japan to see my family. I had surgery years ago. The residuals are DDD and other back/hip/leg conditions. This capitulated the need for myriad amounts of physical therapy, prednisone, and other modalities that rendered short lived success. It was very depressing to experience what I thought was the end of my career that I truly loved, and the end of my quality of life, even though I am a positive person. I worked 50-60 hours (or more) as a civilian program manager for a Federal law enforcement agency. Not only was the commute grueling, I sat for several hours at my desk (and intermittently stood for 1.5 hours or more as I organized, created training materials, and provided training seminars). I would not have been able to successfully perform my duties without Dr. Balint. I found out about Dr. Balint via LEO's who received successful treatment from him whom I saw recover completely. When I could barely walk and I was, yet again, in incessantly horrendous pain, I made an appointment. I am so very glad I listened to them because they were absolutely right! Dr. Balint's epidermal blocks are always in point. After the nerve blocks, I almost forgot my cane!! I had not felt that great for years!! The nerve blocks last from 9 months to 1 year. I have grandkids and I am pretty active with them. Since I have retired from work, I try to help my daughters by babysitting & helping the grandkids with their homework. Dr. Balint and his staff have always been very professional, approachable, and always make my day brighter! I thank God for him every time I wake up and I am able to function. I don't know what I would do without Dr. Balint!

I have only had my first infusion (out of the series of 4 initial infusions) but even after the…read morefirst one, everyone I've been around has commented on how calm and less stressed I've been including my NINE YEAR OLD daughter. I've suffered from a combination of Severe Anxiety with Panic Disorder, Associated Depression, and PTSD since I was 10; I've tried nearly every medicine on the market and nothing has been able to really improve my quality of life. I'm a mom of three with an intense career and going through a brutal custody battle, which has made it so much worse. It's $500 per infusion but I'm using my healthcare FSA and plan to pursue reimbursement from United Heathcare as well. The office is calm and lovely with no wait. My first session, the nurse (Angie?) was an IV needle ninja and reminded me of a Chinese Ping Pong Olympic match but with the fastest, easiest IV placement I've ever seen. The team was so thorough even though I was SO nervous about the dissociative experiences I had read about. They preventatively gave me Zofran for nausea and Versed for anxiety; I had a super comfy chair and crazy soft blanket I really want to buy for my house; and while the experience was VERY WEIRD, it wasn't unpleasant but felt very healing. Having read about music and the role in the treatment I played the Lord of the Rings soundtrack with the ups and downs and it was bizarre how it guided me through processing both my good memories and feelings and bad, but sort of helped me feel like I could overcome (a la Aragorn?). Highly recommend something like that to listen to. In a very weird trippy way I could FEEL the mental healing and I really mean that even in my now clear headed state. It's amazing, truly. My appointment was at 11:00-11:45, groggy feeling passed by around 12:15, by the time I was home just around 1 I had no problem getting back to work "fully there". My boyfriend was SHOCKED because he noticed a difference immediately. That's from one infusion. It's incredible and I can't believe it. Looking forward to tomorrow's and on Thursday!

The group of doctors there are amazing! I have known them for years and trusted them with my wife.read more

Everything is efficient, you aren't kept waiting, and there's a small Quest-run lab inside for blood work. I see the nurse practitioner and I have nothing but good things to say about her. I saw the doctor once and he's great too.

Liked the provider, though. I had hopes for this office becoming my new primary care. They were recommended by a friend, but nothing seemed to go right from the start. I was informed patient intake forms aren't available online. I have a hand disability, so writing is hard. How are these not available digitally in 2024? They offered to snail mail it, and I laughed pretty hard. Ended up with numbness and pain filling it out in person. Next, the waiting room is far too small. There were more people than seats, so I chose to stand. For 45 minutes. Got there 15 minutes early, as requested, and wasn't called back until exactly 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. No regard for my time, not informed they were running late. I have to assume this is standard practice, but my friend swore it's not. I saw the NP and was genuinely impressed that she listened to me and spent a good amount of time going over my health history and current concerns. As annoyed as I was initially, I felt this could be a great start for me after my previous care provider of over a decade left the practice where I saw her. I went home feeling relief that I found a good provider. Nope. I was wrong. I mean they seem to provide good medical care, but I was wrong that my search was over. Two weeks later I get an email my lab results are in, and while checking them out I see a message from that same morning about billing in the portal. I look, and somehow I owe them over $200 for the visit. My insurance covered nothing. I called, asked why, and was told I'd hear back. This didn't happen, or at least it didn't happen before the (presumably) automated system contacted me via email and text to say I owed the same money. To be fair, I actually LOVE the aggressive billing notification. Other offices send incidental invoices via physical mail and I never get them. This system ensures I pay on time, which I'm a big fan of. But I'm not a fan of everyone overlooking the whole "your insurance isn't accepted" thing when the first question I had when scheduling my appointment on the phone was "do you accept my insurance?" and they TOOK MY INSURANCE NAME, MEMBER ID, GROUP ID, AND SAID YES. WTF. You had one job. Could you please do it? On the phone with the front desk again after the latest digital reminders to pay, I was informed I owed the money and my insurance isn't accepted. The operator then became rude and said, with a healthy dose of attitude, that they could write off part of the invoice and reduce it. The implication, heavy in her tone, was "if you're too poor to pay" and I kind of wanted to smack that tone out of her voice. I informed her that they did provide a service, and I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I just wanted to know why the insurance I was told was accepted was in fact NOT accepted. I also let her know I will not return because there's no point in doing so. 4 stars for all the promise and because my experience is hopefully uniquely awful and not indicative of the practice overall. The friend who recommended them was STUNNED by all of this, so fingers crossed it's just me who gets this uniquely awful experience. Docked the one star for, well, everything mentioned above.
