One morning in November I woke up believing I would start the day as I had any other weekday…read moremorning. When I turned to get out of bed for reasons unknown to me I was struck with the most painful thing I have ever felt in my right gluteus and down my right leg in the pattern of a swirl from the front of my leg spiraling to the back and my foot. The experience was shocking and frightening for my partner and my little dog. It was painful enough that I shook and for the most part could hardly breathe. My partner was alarmed enough to ask if a call to 911 was necessary, somehow I managed to utter a no to her question hoping with every cell in my body this was not permanent. As someone who has managed intractable pain for many years I felt I had no choice but to believe this could not possibly be a new problem I would have to live with in my life. Nothing was getting better with the usual course of ice, heat, Advil, and a minimal range of stretches. After treating my new debilitating state of pain like a teenage pregnancy, i.e., hoping and praying it would just go away, I scheduled an appointment to see my GP followed later by an appointment with Dr. Wang. I had to lie down in the back seat of our car to get to get to the clinic, and, with great woe and trepidation I pulled out my walker from the garage. It was a long morning getting dressed and out the door. I was exhausted, wearing all my fatigue in my heart and mind. It hurt like crazy to take half a step even with the walker but having been to Dr. Wang before for much smaller issues, it was at least familiar. Dr. Wang is a lovely person, and works with a heightened sense of intellect that is well cultivated within her practice of healing. Her treatments are always responsive to the patient's condition and needs. She is never judgmental of clients who seek care in both the eastern and western worlds. For the rest of my life I will always be filled with tiny feeling of wonder about that morning. IN THAT ONE APPOINTMENT I emerged from an arm shaking shallow breathing state of debilitating pain to simply rolling and pushing my walker out of the treatment room and out the clinic door. I could walk without it. Theres no way I wasn't luckiest dog in all of Seattle. Granted I was very tired and depleted of most emotional expression, but I swear if I had a tail I would be wagging it. The following acupuncture appointments and many days forward of that morning were not easy but I was able to believe and love life again. At this point in my review I'm not even sure of what else to say. What happened in that first appointment says everything. If you are considering an appointment with Dr. Wang, just do it. You will never regret it. (p.s. have to leave now, sorry for any typos!)

Dr. Wang's care gave me life-changing relief from neck, back and nerve pain as well as exhaustion. She was not the first acupuncture doctor I tried, and she is without question the best. ( and therefore the only one I need). I've seen her, as needed, off and on for over 10 years. As a person who does not typically go to doctors, I was happy to find her. The first visit brought significant progress, and the time rapidly came when she let me know I no longer needed to see her, unless something changed. In the few times that things have changed she rapidly puts me back on track. A former professor at Bastyr University, Dr. Wang literally wrote the book on Micro- Acupuncture, which is widely used to teach the art and science of acupuncture.

I'm 59. I've ridden dirtbikes for 49 years and have suffered more injuries than I can count. I…read moresuffered a shoulder injury 4 years ago. My option in traditional medicine was to take pain pills until it was bad enough for surgery. At the end of September I could barely use my arm and the pain was constant. I was desperate and figured what do I have to lose. 3 treatments in, I had regained 50 percent of my mobility and constant pain was gone with only pain in certain movements. After the 5th and final week I was at 80 percent and pain was almost completely gone. I'm now 3 weeks into physical therapy and my therapist is amazed at how quickly my strength and mobility is progressing at each visit, especially for someone my age. The staff was by far the best part of my experience at Pinnacle. During my visits I interacted with every member of the staff. Every one was friendly and professional. The injections I received in my joint can be painful. However, the expertise of the staff ensured it was as pain free as possible. Given what I do and the hundreds of visits to medical facilities over the years, you know if someone is good at their job, especially with long needles. I've had nerves hit, tendons hit, and bones hit. Not pleasant. Given the complexity of the shoulder it is a minefield of pain waiting to happen. The professionals at Pinnacle never made a single misstep. Not one. It was truly amazing. I'd never had acupuncture before and that was an eye opening experience. It was so relaxing. And then there was Tam, behind the front desk. He has a great personality and was always making sure you were comfortable and taken care of. His communication about appointments was excellent sending reminders and making sure you knew what was going on. On each visit I would see multiple staff members and would get text reminders of who I was seeing at what time so I always knew what would happen that day. Unheard of! The entire experience was amazing. The results are phenomenal. I don't know why I waited so long. I don't do reviews so this is a first for me. I never thought I'd be able to use my arm again, so I have to say something. Thank you so much to the staff at Pinnacle. Thanks to you I can continue doing what I love, riding like an idiot. I really thought I was done. You've given me back my life and I can never thank you enough. To those who have read this far, what are you waiting for? There is hope at Pinnacle.

People were recommending me to go and get knee surgery. That was the last thing I wanted. I saw an ad for Pinnacle on Facebook- thought what do I have to lose. I'm so glad I went!! My pain is gone.
