I have been very impressed with Eric since my first visit. The thing that impressed me the most ( other than the fact that I feel better) is the way that Eric works. I've been to a number of people for care where you get pressured to 'buy this' or 'add this on'. Eric has never pressured me to try to increase sales. On my first visit, Eric has listened to what I have to say and tried to find ways to help. He doesn't try to fix everything the same way, but tries to find ways to help. If he feels seeing someone else would help, he recommends that. If he feels that a simple change in my patterns would help, he recommends that. The acupuncture is definitely the main tool, but he doesn't restrict himself to 'everything can be solved with one more pin'. I had been suffering from some new digestive issues for over a year (and headaches for over 20+ years) with multiple visits and tests with regular doctors and hospitals. On my first visit, Eric said I sounded gluten intolerant. Within two weeks of diet change coupled with the acupuncture, I felt amazing. I found that the diet alone doesn't do it - if I miss my visits I don't feel as well. Since then I have had him help me with several issues. Mostly we focus on my digestion and headaches, but he's also helped with some knee pain and just balancing my energy and just 'feeling good'. I sleep better and I feel more rested. Penny Brewer is an absolute gem. I came into the office to treat a stress headache. This was my first time getting acupuncture and I was particularly nervous. I am afraid of needles. Penny was great - explaining the process, the benefit of each point she was inserting and checking in after each needle to make sure I was okay. I am a runner and hurt my ankle in Aug 2015. Went the traditional route and saw an ankle doc who put me in a boot and told me to rest and wear an ankle guard once out of the boot. My running did not return to normal and I continued to have pain. Decided acupuncture was worth a try (although I am a skeptic). Penny listened and I felt a difference after my first treatment. I was astounded. Fast forward a couple of months and I am training for my first marathon and experiencing cramping after each long run in both my feet. I've been working with Penny for about 3 months now and I wish I had gone to see her sooner! I have a herniated disk and sciatica pain. The pain got so bad in Feb that I reached out to Good Medizen to find some relief. She treated the immediate pain and gave me a plan for manage outside of acupuncture.
