Fantastic nursery! My sister and I went yesterday for our annual garden center trip each spring. We usually go to Cox Garden Center way out in Clayton, but we wanted to try a closer place this year. I was in earlier today, I have always loved the plants here but for whatever reason there was this super rude employee that turned me away from this place completely. It started out with them trying to direct traffic but not being clear. Yelling at everyone, then after asking what he meant treated me and my mother like we were stupid. Then after everything was said and done,after I got parked I came in picked out my flowers and I noticed this same rude, condescending, red head man child still being rude and entitled to everyone that was in the building. I have always loved this place but I will not be back because of this incident and the fact that no other employee or owner stepped up to correct this individual. I always love coming to this greenhouse! It is easy to navigate and they always have both flowering and edible plants even when others are 'out' for the season. I love that is is a multi generational business and they are super knowledgeable. We pursued the items and picked out a tomato plant and some herbs and asked for advice on soils. They have lots of plants as well as pottery and other gardening items, and the front area is just the beginning of their offerings. They have both a front parking area and more parking to the rear where it is easier to back up and leave. We love this spot for our plants and will continue to go there, and suggest it to others whenever we can! read more

I was advised by my landscaper to purchase plants at Courts last summer. They are beautiful this year. Needing more plants I went today - May 6th - and found everything I needed. Be warned -- this is a VERY popular place. Likely because the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. But early in the season, not as much available help as later on. If you want miles & miles of plants to choose from, here ya go! The place is huge! They have lots of veggies to choose from as well, many of them she has grown from seed. She was able to answer my questions too which I really appreciated. Hopefully with the tips I received, my veggie garden will do great this year! Today I found the loveliest garden center. Court's Yard is beautifully laid out, with a fantastic selection of annuals, perennials, trees, vegetables, and more. They have most of your run-of-the-mill garden plants, and quite a few things you just won't find at the corporate home improvement centers, and certainly not at that price! As I was perusing their beautiful place, I noticed a few hens had escaped the run (yes, they sell fresh eggs, too). After I caught them and put them back in the fence, I struck up a conversation with the ladies who own the business. They are dedicated, friendly people who love what they do; and it shows! I'm a huge fan of their aesthetic, and I just can't say enough about how adorable this place is, or the ladies who run it. I highly recommend Court's Yard to anyone looking for a good, local greenhouse with plants that have obviously been well-cared for by committed gardeners, and not haphazardly "maintained" by hourly, box store employees. read more

This is the place you're looking for. You know a place is good when you dont wanna leave. Heck, i sat down for a few minutes waiting on the line to die down and was sure id have no problem staying if they asked me for dinner. There are some very nice people working here who are friendly and provide great customer service. These are good people, the property is cute and they have just as good a selection as anywhere else for the same or cheaper prices so why not support a local place that has a good thing going?? I came here not long ago after going to five other places local to me. Unfortunately that was at the end of the day so i felt like i had to wade through miles of crap just to get to the gold at the end of the rainbow...(yes the rainbow does actually end here). Its my new happy place and now it can be yours too. I have now saved you from wasting you're entire day driving around looking at beat up plants or not finding what you want (the nice young lady that runs this place even seemed interested in finding something i was interested in that she didnt have at least she expressed interest which is more than i can say for most other places) . Between this and another local place, i finally have my plants covered (no pun) and know what greenhouses i can count on. I am in no way affiliated with Courts Yard & Greenhouse in any way. I really love moseying aroung at Court's Yard and Greenhouse on Epler Ave. The many creative ideas inspire me. The plants are beautiful, healthy, and often different from those at other garden centers. We purchased plants from Court's last year - both perennials and annuals, and all did very well. The perennials are just super this spring. The service is very good, and the helpfulness is indeed above par. read more
