Anybody that knows me knows that I am a sucker for plants! They are like family members for me lol and they bring so much peace to my life. My Boo and I walked in and the environment was super nice and the plants were beautiful. we purchased three plants And the service was nice. They were very helpful! I am not sure about the value of the one of the plants we got as it appears to be dying already we purchased a tree, and we are hoping that it will come back to life as the weather warms up. All in all, the plants are beautiful, and the service was great! It would be cool to offer wine or drinks while you are shopping for plants and make it an experience.

Have you ever gone to a business where you just instantly felt comfortable? That was my experience with Grounded Plant & Floral Company, a plant and floral shop (I bet you could figure that out on your own) located inside the Stutz building's newly established retail and culinary courtyards. I first visited Grounded during a recent Yelp event, however, I knew I would return quickly - partly because I spied some things I wanted and partly because, to be honest, I just wanted to leave them a review (NOTE: Yelp event guidelines request that you not review a business based upon an "event" since an event is not an actual business experience. It makes sense and I abide by it). However, with two visits under my belt I now feel comfortable adding my review. First off, this is located easily off the northernmost courtyard at the Stutz. There's a street-side entrance that is not wheelchair friendly, however, going in off of the courtyard it's perfectly friendly (this is true quite a bit at the Stutz). My first visit was directly when they opened on a weekend. I always kind of feel for employees when there's someone waiting right when they open, however, I was greeted in a friendly manner and welcomed right in. There were two young women working and both were friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very helpful. I was impressed with just how expansive this place was and how wheelchair friendly it is throughout. There's a strong diversity vibe here - and I wasn't surprised it included disability. I felt "welcome" here. I bought a plant and I also got some incense. The prices vary quite a bit. You can easily spend a lot here, though it's also possible to just pick up a small plant or other item. The smell here is amazing. The vibe is awesome. They carry plants and floral items, of course, but there's also candles, supplies, some home interior items, and much more. I was able to get my wheelchair everywhere I wanted to go, though it does get a bit tight if there's another person in the aisle. However, everyone I encountered here was friendly and made sure I could get through. When I had questions about the plant, they answered them and even made sure to write down the name of the plant and some light directions for care. As someone getting ready to have a fairly serious cancer surgery, I've been trying to add some more "life" to my home - Grounded really helped. You honestly can enjoy yourself at the Stutz by adding some other stops while here - Grounded plus Amelia's (or Barista Parlor) plus the car museum plus other places - you'll have a blast. I'm super big on customer service. It possibly matters more to me than the products themselves. Here, I got great customer service AND great products. I'm thrilled to discover Grounded and I will definitely be back.

The ladies @ Grounded are so fun & knowledgeable. I walked in looking for an Olive tree today. Unfortunately, There wasn't one in stock, but I left with my car full and as a satisfied customer as they cheered me on after the purchase of my very large new Philodendron. The team @ grounded always has the answers and can redirect you to books or resources when they don't. I feel good about purchasing my plants here because I know they have been cared for well, and the value of the plants is great. This is my go-to for new plants and products to keep them happy at home!

It's been a while since I visited Grounded, but they moved to a much bigger space and that means more and bigger plants options! I love the variety that they have, they also sell other things besides plants, they even have some gem stones!

Great plant shop in the Stutz building. You need to look for it as it's off by itself. Plenty of choices from large to small. Fun decorative items as well. Good place for fun gift ideas. Perfect addition for the Stutz.

A local plant heaven!! Parking was easily available along the street right by the door. I was greeted as soon as I entered and knew I'd be wondering around for quite some time and for sure leaving with a unique new plant. Big, little, full Sun, no sun, pink, polka dot - you name it and they had that variety of house plant. The smaller plants are great priced. Majority are $9-$18. The larger plants run around $70+. They're all in such healthy condition. Not only are there plants EVERYWHERE, but there's essentials to care for them, cute cards and prints, coffee table plant books, pots, skin care... it's basically a nursery + gift shop. The man at the counter was knowledgeable about caring for the plants I bought and super friendly. If you need a gift or just want to spice up a space with some uniquely fun plants - for sure visit here!!! They get new plants every Wednesday!

I LOVE THIS STORE!! Just visited the new location as part of a Yelp Elite Event. Wandered around for a good hour. Love the new spot. Easy to get to and park. It's in the stutz building but not in the interior, so it's convenient. Their variety and reasonable prices keep me coming back!

I'm not a plant person but I instantly fell in love with this store walking in. I was greeted. It was clean and the aroma that smacks you in the face when you open the door is amazing. On top of that, they had great customer service. I was able to ask questions without feeling like I was being a bother. It's definitely something for everyone in the store. I'll be back to grab a candle.

Grounded is a lovely little plant shop! I give them five stars just for existing. They have a solid brand and the inside aesthetic is a perfect fit for them. There were plants everywhere inside--as there should be--as well as fun, natural and boho-vibe hangers and cool planters. I came in to use a gift card. It was hard to pick which plants to bring home! But I ended up finding a beautiful purple one that caught my eye. It was $15. The other plant I bought was $8 (a lot of plants were at this price point) and will look so good on my bookshelf. I will note the prices were a bit higher than at some of the other plant shops I go to. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shop has marked spots on the floor to help you social distance, requires masks, and only 6 people are currently allowed in the shop at a time. There was a shield around the cash wrap and the staff were wearing masks. It felt very safe, and I'd have no qualms about coming back during the pandemic. Parking out front was super easy. I came on a Friday afternoon and there were several spots right out front. I'm sure I'll come back to Grounded in the future. It's just a beautiful space for a plant lover. Plus, they had so many little extras like the wall hanging pieces and their planter selection that's just beautiful an unique... and they have shower steamers and loose leaf tea, too, soooo.... yeah, I'll be back. ;)

Love this location and there are lots of beautiful plants and some cool ceramics and art to choose from too. Helpful employees as well.

A few weeks back my boss had recommended that I go to Grounded Plant + Floral since I was in need of a birthday gift for a friend. She is a minimalist so she thought that a plant would be something she could enjoy. Since I had never been here prior, I used google maps and the route ended up taking me down the most beautiful street right down the block from the shop. I never knew that Grounded was just beyond 'The Garage' Downtown which only made me now, want to show all my friends the shop! Right when I walked into the store I was amazed at the amount of plants, pots, and other cute gift ideas. I was immediately able to be helped by Z who was able to point me in the direction of lower maintenance plants. Z was able to explain to me the difference between the different types and share how they differed which I really appreciated, since I do not know much about plants. After selecting a plant, I wondered the rest of the store seeing candles, journals, bath soaps and scrubs, teas and so much more. I ended up picking out a cute little candle as well to go along with the plant. I was really surprised as how well moderately priced everything was. I will most definitely be going back soon with friends!

Had the chance to experience Grounded for a Yelp Elite Event and I am so thankful I went. What a great space with wonderful vibe and friendly staff! They told me about events they will be hosting and they offer "Doctor hours" where you can bring pictures our your plant for advice on care and aesthetics. Inspired me get some more greenery for my personal spaces.

Cute shop and beautiful plants. However, customer service is lacking. I don't need much when I come into a store and don't want to be bothered the whole time, but a hello would be nice. When I was in the girl at the counter never acknowledged me and was on her phone the entire time. I also think the plants and especially the pots are WAY overpriced. I always want to support local, but I'm not paying $75 for a pot I can go elsewhere and get it for $30 and the same for plants. I understand they have to keep the lights on, but I'm struggling to support with such high prices.

Lily in her element! Beautiful store!

Foundry 317 is along the canal right on Westfield Boulevard. Foundry 317 focuses on home decor and furniture. I clearly arrived right at the tail-end of the holiday season and a good number of the items either had a holiday theme or fit within the holiday season. Items included antiques, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, festive accents, candles, and other overall housing items. Foundry 317 has a parking lot, though I was actually wheeling there. There's a small ramp up to the sidewalk if you approach it from the right (facing Foundry 317). The doorway is pretty workable and I found the interior to be surprisingly accessible (though I will admit I was taking extra caution given some of the prices!). As I was wheeling, I knew it was pretty unlikely I'd actually buy anything on this visit as it would have been difficult to carry back to my car. However, I definitely saw some items I loved and can easily see myself returning in the near future. The employee I encountered was friendly, the environment was warm and inviting, and I really loved some of the smaller items. I'm a candle freak and definitely would like to return for those. I've always found this section of Westfield Blvd. a little hit-and-miss. The sidewalk is kind of cracked and it's somewhat uneven, however, there's much to love here and I loved the efforts toward accessibility. This is definitely a little gem. I'd seen it before, however, I've never been by when they were open. I finally got the chance to visit, and I'm definitely impressed. I'll be back.

I have to admit for being a big box store, they were clean and had a wide variety of items to browse through. During the week, there weren't a lot of staff on hand, but the one who helped us was really good. My wife had a return to make and one thing keeping this place from getting a higher rating was that there was no signage indicating where customer service/returns were located. None of the cashier aisles had anyone there when we entered. We browsed a little and my wife spotted a gal who was stocking inventory (loads of seasonal stuff was filling the shelves). The employee immediately stopped stocking and directed my wife to the second cashier spot and she opened the spot and processed the returned item with a simple review of the receipt to confirm it was purchased there and the price to be refunded. In about a minute, my wife was refunded her money. My wife also asked if they carried some artificial plants and where would she find them. The clerk pointed in the general directions and then gave some verbal direction to help find the specific items. Unfortunately, they had similar stuff to what my wife wanted, but not exactly. But that wasn't the clerk's fault. Prices seemed reasonable and the quality of the items I picked up seemed good too. All in all, if you like shopping in person and discovering things you didn't know a place like at home carried, I would recommend stopping on by! Review #3811

Charles Mayer & Company is a "gift shop," though likely not in the fashion you're thinking. If your primary thought is "I'm on a budget," then Charles Mayer & Company is likely not going to be your first destination. This is a "premium" gift shop offering home decor, tableware, books, frames, candles/fragrance, linen, jewelry, fashion, decor, baby items and more. Charles Mayer & Company began in downtown Indy in 1840. Charles Mayer immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 19. It grew into a five-story building and operated until 1954 when its inventory was sold to L.S. Ayres. The building was then razed in 1959. Fast forward. In 1992, Claudia Ryan decided to revive the story alongside her husband, Tim. Tim just happens to be a maternal great-great grandson of Charles Mayer. A new tradition was born inside this store on the northside intentionally designed to resemble a home. It's also, much to my surprise, more accessible than I expected - though, given the price of some of its items I'll openly admit this is one store where I'm super cautious. Somewhat ironically, Ryan is also a former VP of Fashion Merchandising for L.S. Ayres. So, a few things here. First off, the customer service is impeccable. If you know me, you know I'm a bit of a slob. Hey, it's true. You can say it. I don't exactly radiate the vibe of being someone who's going to enter your store and spend a lot of cash. So, I'm always a little impressed when I enter a more luxe store and am treated well. At one point, for example, I wrote about the fact that I'd gone through the former Saks Fifth Avenue, not particularly dressed well but with cash in hand, and was completely ignored. That doesn't happen here. This is a neat little corner - you're talking places like Kids Ink, Byrne's Grilled Pizza, an art gallery, a butcher and more. It's quite cool. Charles Mayer & Company feels natural here and really fits in with the vibe of the area. The people were friendly. The store is surprisingly accessible. The selection is remarkable - I'm particularly dazzled by the MOVA Globes. While not everything on the website is in-store at all times, it seems like they can usually get it and in a pretty timely manner. Have you ever wanted a $145 designer fire extinguisher? They have them here (and they are incredible). This place is completely dazzling. However, again, it's definitely a more luxe gift shop. If you're looking for a gift on the finer side, this is definitely a place to check out.

We now check it out on a regular basis and always find some unique items. Prices are excellent, especially when compared to other vintage shops. The true treasure of the sho are the people that run it. They are so delightful and always make you feel welcome. Many times they have helped add to a collection by offering suggestions and remembering us when we came in. Though we don't always buy something we always learn something. Their knowledge and helpfulness is fantastic. I appreciate all the unique serving pieces and kitchen things available. My husband loves the record collection. Give this place a try... Parking can be utilized on either side of the building. You will have to look for it the first time but it is easy if you look for the grey building next to Liter House.
