I think they might've had a bit of tea for sale and they also carried Heather Gems from Scotland, a line of jewellery made from dyed and polished heather stems. Prices might look expensive compared to something you'd buy in a big store, but are worth the quality of the items. The staff that I met was wonderful and I loved all of the puns around the shop! Parking is just in front of the building. If you're looking for something more in the vein of a local yarn store, this shop isn't quite that unless you want 100% wool only.

The items are beautifully displayed, and you could tell the owner really has an eye for style. There was a large variety of items at a range of different prices. I love that they are size inclusive as well. I had a blast shopping here, and the owner helped accessorize some of the outfits. I got a couple of dresses, paid of shoes, belt and lounge wear. It was such a fun experience shopping here, I could have spent hours looking for treasures! Although I'm happy that they have an online shop, I can't wait to come here again the next time I visit Charlottetown. It's an absolute must see!

We were in PEI for a family vacation in September and we made a special trip into Charlottetown to enjoy the sights but also to come to the Root Cellar for some essentials that we needed back at our cottage. Among the things that I came in looking for was activated charcoal and admittedly I was a bit disappointed that the store did not carry it. It was explained to me by the sales assistant that the local supplier does not have this particular item in their inventory but they were working on locating it elsewhere. Despite not being able to get activated charcoal, I was truly impressed with the selection of products. The Root Cellar must have the best selection of Weleda products outside of Switzerland! And a huge assortment of all-natural toothpaste and personal hygiene products and lotions specifically designed for babies. Also, in the back of the store there is an impressively large selection of non-perishable grocery items. I walked out of the store with a bunch of things and wishing that there was a Root Cellar in Montreal.
