Wonderful hotel by Burlington downtown. Very clean and spacious. Convenient location. It has gym and pool. A restaurant/bar on the first floor. Attached parking lot ($15/day). Very welcoming staff. Whenever we headed out or came back in, they always greeted us with smiles. The lake was right in front of the hotel. Weather was cold so I didn't walk along the riverside but I still enjoyed the view. If we go back to visit, I will stay in this hotel again. read more

We picked Courtyard for our 3 day trip in Burlington. The hotel is walking distance from the downtown area and Church street Marketplace. It is also right in front of the waterfront park. Such a great location. They also had parking available for $15 a day. It was very convenient for us as we were able to just park in the lot and walk to nearby spot, without having to pay the meters. Our check in process was super fast and easy. Being Platinum Bonvoy member, we got room upgrade and they allowed us late checkout at 4pm. The lobby was beautiful. The gym and pool were at lower floor. Pool area was heated. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom. The bed was trademark Marriott quality, with excellent mattress. TVs and all other items were working fine in the room. The furnitures in the room were a bit old. They were showing signs of aging. Shower had excellent water pressure but the sink's was too low. There were plenty of clean soft towels and toiletries. We got amazing service throughout our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. read more

We stayed at the courtyard Burlington over a weekend. In general the town is egregiously expensive. $456 per night for a marriott courtyard. From the hotel to the lake seemed very safe, heading up the hill are people sleeping in vacant lots and lots of panhandling. There was a woman tearing the flowers out, and knocking over pots at the restaurant next door when people wouldn't give her money. The hotel was great, not $456/night great. Stayed 3 nights on a work trip and the room was nice but not super renovated. They are doing construction on the hotel, so no gym or pool. They did over us to stay over at their sister restaurant if we wanted to but we were already checked in. They do have breakfast and dinner service at a nice spot in the hotel. Location is close to everything. A little pricey but would be interested to see the renovations. read more

We came for the pool. No pool. We came to watch a movie together. Our TV didn't work. So I had to get my chargers... but valet parking only.... it took so long I didn't get to spend time with my boyfriend. I asked them to comp the room. They offered me 25 dollars off. I have an elderlymom and 3 kids... this was my chance at a single day of what, to me, is luxurious respite. The desk folks were robotic in their dismissal of what was, for us, a huge disappointment. We decided to leave so at least we wouldn't have to pay 200 to not see each other or do what we planned. Save your time and money. Run, don't walk, next door to a different hotel. We were fortunate enough to have our post-wedding brunch hosted at the Marriott this past weekend. It was great! We had about one hundred people which all fit perfectly in one of the business conference rooms. Food was really good - pastries were amazing. We also used the Marriott bridal suite to get ready for the wedding. It has a gorgeous balcony overlooking the lake which made for some beautiful first look photos. read more

I get it. They're undergoing a renovation but that doesn't give you a free pass. If you're going to be open during renovations then be prepared. The check in area is way too small. One computer to check everyone in??! I reserved a room with two queen beds. We arrived at check in time of 3pm and were informed a hockey team group had booked all rooms with 2 queens for late check out of 6pm. Why wasn't that mentioned before arrival??? We were given a room with a king bed and a pull out sofa. If I had reserved the day before I might have understood but I reserved 7 days before arrival. Hotels under renovation should offer discounted rooms. Next trip to Burlington I'll stay somewhere else. read more

The room is spacious, coffee or tea is available in the morning and the beds are comfy. Most of my stays have been decent, but I ran into an issue with the toilet seat being loose, and the shower handle not fully attached. Needed some getting used to in order to get the right water temperature. Upon my arrival, I also found a used bottle of lotion so it makes me wonder how thorough the housekeeper does their job. Asides from these flaws during my visit this time, I stayed here over a dozen weeks in the past four years and my stay has been decent each time. Courtyard Burlington Harbor has its own private parking and is located in a beautiful area across from Lake Chaplain and takes only 10minutes to get to downtown Burlingame, where there is a ton of delicious food and shops. read more

1st off, the hotel was Located in a great area. We loved the people working at the front desk. Our room was good even though we had no view. The shower was great, bed was good. We ate at Bleu (not recommend). We needed to use the restroom before we hit the road. WE hadn't checked out. We went to our room, it was and tidy, she had already cleaned our room. We used the sink and toilet. The housekeeper was in the hallway so I let her know and she was a bit miffed. WE HADN'T CHECKED OUT! BLEU RESTAURANT; If you like service with a attitude then this is your place. We stood at the hostess station for awhile, finally a older( blond, grey haired) lady came and asked us how many, then, she took forever to seat us. Needless to say, she was not friendly! We finally got to order and then it came out, everything was wrong. My husband ordered a Breakfast sandwich with bacon, it came with sausage, potatoes were boring, no flavor, although they look good. I ordered the two eggs breakfast, scrambled eggs with cheese that I did not get, and I had to ask three times for toast and three times for jelly. I did like my ham and tomato juice. Inside the Courtyard Hotel I WOULDN'T recommend Bleu! I WOULD RECOMMEND the hotel. read more

Great location. The hotel is located as close to the water front as you can get. Just exit via the basement level and cross the street and you are in the park. Go downhill and you are at the water front. Go out the first floor doors and up a few blocks and you are on Church Street with access to shopping and lots of local coffee. The hotel is a mile walk from the University. Really couldn't have chosen a better base for a visit to town. The room was fine. There plugs everywhere you needed them and a comfy bed and comfy couch (which also turned into a bed). The shower water pressure was good and the bathroom spacious. The only con was housekeeping. I was supposed to get it every other day (once during my stay) and didn't get it at all during my stay. There were housekeepers in the halls though so you can ask them if you need more towels or something. The elevators are also a bit slow. There are 2 lifts for 9 floors and there was usually a wait for the lift and they sometimes did get really full of people. Great hotel restaurant Bleu. The service for breakfast and dinner was super fast both from the waitress and the kitchen. The breakfast was great and filling. The dinner was great, but the portion was very small - especially for the price. Overall I'd stay here again if I was in town for any reason business or pleasure, or even to visit the school. read more

Clean room and friendly staff. The employee at the front desk was great at explaining all of the covid updates including where to get ice. He provided a parking pass and explained all of the forms we had to sign. The room was clean and the view wasn't bad, even though we had a city view. The pullout couch bed was horrendous! Like it was all springs, no soft material. And the closet only had a duvet & a single pillow for the additional bedding for the pullout couch. Not a fan of that at all. We also tried the restaurant on site and weren't wowed by it; service was slow, and food was just alright, nothing crazy good. We had to ask the waitstaff repeatedly for additional drinks, and it seemed like we were always waiting. It also was a bit chilly in the restaurant area, but that may have just been where we were sitting by the window. The pool area was clean, but there was no bubbler for the spa, so it was a let down too. We did not use the gym or any other on-site amenities. read more

We are Bonvoy members and have stayed in a lot of different Marriotts and we both agree this one is our absolute favorite! This is a million dollar view! Not sure how we got this for such a low rate but we are incredibly impressed. Nicest Courtyard ever. Across the street from waterfront boardwalk, bike/walking trail, few blocks from Church St Markets. Easily walkable to everything we came to see. The perfect location for a Burlington stay! A bit of a view of Lake Champlain, and all the comforts a good room should offer. Friendly & helpful front desk & valet, easy check in & out. The best part: great food nearby! Blue is in the lobby, & its bar and tables were busy after their 5pm dinner opening. We missed their breakfast hours, so we ended up next door at Juniper for dinner and breakfast, and LOVED it. August First bakery is a few blocks away. They have the best (bottom griddled til crunchy) maple biscuit (w/the best local Ploughgate maple butter & jam). Church street shops & restaurants even closer. The king suite had: A nice desk setup and solid wifi for Zoom calls & a sleeper sofa (that is prob more comfy to sleep on unfolded) with bedding in the closet. Small fridge & bar sink, coffee maker & coffee (but better coffee to be had nearby). TV. A comfy, firm king bed. Comfy sofa chair. Usb outlets & easy to access outlets from either side. TV. Large bathroom w/jacuzzi tub & separate walk-in shower. Full length mirror. Nice towels. Friendly housekeeping, & an impressive selection of local ice creams (Sisters of Anarchy & Island) and snacks, plus toiletries in the lobby little store area. Disgusting!!! HORRIBLE experience. There was nothing but dogs walking through the lobby. It is a public place with people eating and enjoying drinks in the lobby. They seem to encourage dog owners to bring their pets in, shake off in the lobby and wander among the guests. I love dogs, but this is a public space. One dog actually went through someone else's bag. Nice hotel, HORRIBLE experience! Might be different in Vermont, than elsewhere, but this was pretty disgusting. read more

I've been staying in a lot of Courtyards lately and this one ranks right near the top. The location is great, right across the street from Lake Champlain and behind it is the Church Street Marketplace. Anything you need is within walking distance. The room was spacious and nice. with a daughter at UVM, this has become my favorite place to stay in Burlington. Lots of parking available right next to the hotel, right across the street from Battery Park (which abuts Lake Champlain), easy walking to Church Street and absolutely spectacular views from the hotel. Everyone at the hotel that I've interacted with has been enthusiastic to help, knowledgeable about their property and the area and efficient. It's not easy being a hotel in an area that gets business travelers, vacation travelers and anxious parents- but I feel welcome, cared for and appreciated here. read more

This place is a SHAM! When you book your reservation on their website you are actually booking it on a third party reservation system. Then when you arrive you are told you booked through a third party. When it was brought to their attention the website was being masked by this third party they brushed it off and stated they would produce a "ticket" for investigation. A month after my visit when I learned there was a discrepancy of charges to my account vs. the receipt I was provided at check out to confirm all charges, I was told by FOM Patrice I was not suppose to be provided a receipt because the booking was made through a third party and I would need to take it up with the third party which I NEVER booked. Stay far away from this place as there are unethical practices they are "allegedly" participating in that consumers at the end have to endure in a negative impact. Bad business all around! read more

The absolute best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the waterfront and Church Street's shops/restaurants. We parked the car in the adjacent garage and did not move it until the next day when we were leaving. The lobby is nice and has beautiful water views. There is a small bar and seating area with couches, they all overlook Lake Champlain. I thought it was nice that hotel offered 5 complimentary carafes of Green Mountain Coffee in the lobby. There is also a small business center with a couple of computers incase you need to print something. I typically stay at a lot of Air B&B's and budget type hotels (under $150 category), but a friend was able to get a corporate discount for this Courtyard. I wouldn't have paid the full price rate, but for 1/3 of the cost I really enjoyed my stay here. We stayed in a 3rd floor room with lake views. We could see the lake but it was a bit obstructed by trees, not the end of the world for the price we paid, but if I had spent $400+ I would have been disappointed. I recommend trying for a room on a higher level floor if you can. It was nice to open the curtains in the morning and see the sail boats on the lake as the sun was coming up. The room was clean and well kept up, I think this hotel was built in 2006. Our room had two queen beds, a desk, a comfy chair and a large television. The bed was super comfortable and I slept really well. The bathroom was pretty typical for this category of hotel. We LOVED the outdoor patio at the hotel, you can see some beautiful lake views from there. We grabbed some hard ciders at a nearby market and went out to sit by the fire pit at night. So relaxing! This is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience Burlington for the weekend. The Courtyard Burlington Harbor puts you in the middle of all of the action. read more

I didn't stay here, I am rating the customer service portion of the hotel and restaurant ( a separate review) My daughter and her husband wanted to drive some place close to celebrate their 2nd anniversary. Living in Montreal, it is difficult to find close US places at the last minute, but they found the is Marriott Courtyard, to be close and comfortable. I wanted to send something to their room to congratulate them for their wedding anniversary . While the hotel really didn't have a "fancy " restaurant, the front desk Dana, suggested room service. So I ordered the Pot au Creme and April, found some flowers somewhere ( as there was no florist on the premise or open near by), and really made a nice presentation. Also Dana was nice enough to write a card to accompany the Pot au Creme! When I visit this town, I will be sure to visit them as "remote" great customer service speaks a lot for the type of service I would receive in person! read more

Definitely the nicest Courtyard that I've stayed in. Like.... ever. I say this simply because I've been consistently disappointed by pretty much every Courtyard in recent years. Burlington Harbor Courtyard? Very nice. But you do pay for it. I'm a Platinum Elite Marriott rewards member and couldn't use any points for this stay. Most Courtyards are priced between $100-$200 per night...this 4 night stay was over $200 per night (before all of the fees and taxes). I also had an upgraded room with a whirlpool tub and a view of Lake Champlain. But you get what you pay for. Location? A very quick walk to Church Street and right on the waterfront area. Pretty awesome. Parking? A self-parking lot is conveniently located right next door. Via the hotel, it's $10/night or $15/night for valet (extremely reasonable). I believe that the lot was $8 daily. Restaurant? Yes. There is one - onsite. Not the typical Courtyard bar/lounge experience....this is attached to a separately run upscale restaurant called Bleu. While we didn't eat here, some of the food looks interesting (except that I saw rabbit on the menu and that turned me right off). We did have a drink at the bar one night while we watched one of the playoff hockey games and listened to some very good live jazz music. Breakfast? Not included. Room service is fulfilled by Bleu should you go that route. Housekeeping? Cleanliness? Very good; one of the cleanest and well kept Courtyards that I've stayed in. The wallpaper around the tub area (in the bathroom) isn't holding up well...the moisture is causing some staining. Room layout? This is my biggest pet peeve of almost all Courtyards. While I had a very nice sized room, it was very long and narrow. Closets are not built-in and they take up quite a bit of space (while still not providing much storage space). The small couch was very nice and comfortable (as was the bed). The shower was very small and situated in the corner. Try turning on the water without getting it all over the floor (if the door is slightly open). The only other option is to try and get out of the way of the water spray while adjusting the temperature as the shower head didn't move much. 2 words: Feng Shui. Staff? Great. Friendly, engaging and efficient. Other amenities? There's a small pool and hot tub area available that looked clean and well kept...but are visible from the street. Gawkers: have at it. Complimentary coffee station is available in the mornings. Enhanced internet (wifi) worked very well. Cookies are provided in the afternoon/evening. Overall, this is a great place to stay in downtown Burlington. read more

I've got mildew in the shower and hair on the floor. Had issues getting the room cleaned. Still can't get a cleaning. Never had such an issue with a hotel before. Also, whirlpool amenity doesn't work, but that's a small issue compared to how nasty the room has been. read more

Spent 3 nights here. Although the room was clean, the shower was awful. It did not work properly and as a result the tub filled. Gross after 4 showers. AC was really temperamental as was the TV which kept shutting off. Enough hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel. Was irritated when we wanted to sit on the outside patio and the Hotel Vermont said we could not because they serve meals out there. Why show it on the Courtyard site if we cannot sit out there? Will say the hotel was in a great location to the Lake and great Restaurants. read more

We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, but in the evening I like to watch my sports and the tv's picture is horrible. Beyond impressed with this hotel. My boyfriend stays here quite often for business and I always look forward to tagging along when he is staying at this Marriott. The location is prime; a very short walk from Church Street and surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and shopping. The hotel's restaurant, Bleu, has a great menu and I know my boyfriend has mentioned how much he enjoys chatting with the bartenders Geoff and Frank when he spends his nights here (I saw a few other reviews complimenting them as well!) *Update: last night I had Geoff as my bartender and all of the great things I've heard about him are absolutely true!! Although I did not meet Frank, we heard that Frank will find out when regular guests are staying at the hotel and makes sure that he not only greets them by name, but also that he has their preferred drink stocked up!! Amazing service!!* Speaking of Hotel staff, everyone from the Valet, front desk attendants, and cleaning crew are beyond friendly and helpful. I just rode the elevator with some of the cleaning ladies-- we chatted and laughed all the way to the 9th floor! There are many different styles of rooms/layouts in this hotel and it is always fun to get our room number and see what our room looks like. My favorite has been the lake-view suite because of the enormous spa tub (with jets!) in the bathroom!! This is one of the nicest, well-run chain hotels I have stayed at while traveling. Booked the nicest room in the hotel for a weekend getaway. When we arrived the room had empty wine and liquor bottles on the counter, dirt and dust all over the place, a TV that looked mid-installation (we had to pick the cords up from the floor and hook everything up ourselves) and a broken lamp (not inoperable, literally broken). We should have known something was amiss when we walked down the hall at 4pm and there were still dirty breakfast trays lining the corridor. My friends and I spent one night here recently on a girl's trip to Vermont. The Hyatt next door was recommended due to location downtown, so I chose this Courtyard next door because I am a Marriott Rewards member. The price was incredibly high - over $200 a night for a Sunday night. I guess that's the norm in this town, which is odd because the town isn't that big or nice. So, the location is good - we were able to walk over to the pedestrian mall area for shopping, drinks and dinner. It's too bad how the hotel is situated perpendicular to the water, because a water or city view would have been nice - instead we all looked north over a parking lot and head shop. The staff was friendly, parking convenient ($8/night) - we didn't use any on-site amenities like the pool, restaurant, etc. The room was well appointed, except the bathroom had a really weird shower curtain that did not fit the length of the shower - when I got in and pulled it closed, half of the hooks were open and were so stretched out, I couldn't close them back up (see picture) - just a small detail, but for how much we paid per night, I would have expected better attention to detail. In all, the rooms were nice, but if returning to Burlington, I might check out another hotel option. read more

Looks and feels like a full-on Marriott, but only costs like a Courtyard and from talking with the GM, that wasn't an accident, this hotel could go under either brand. What it means for travelers now is that you're staying in place with more amenities than if it had been designed solely with another brand in mind. As for this hotel specifically, it's located very near the lake, with many rooms having lovely views. Only a block from a large (indoor) mall and outdoor shopping district which was very lively during my stay in June (probably not so much during the winter, but who knows?) One word of warning, and it's not a knock against the hotel, but the sidewalks seem to roll-up pretty early in this (the largest of) Vermont city. read more
