Their location is very convenient particularly for tourists as it is within an easy 10 minute walk to the vibrant and popular Stephen Ave Walk restaurant and shopping district. Our tour group also enjoyed a nice, enjoyable, and very good dinner that included 2 drinks (I had the merlot on hand), a salad, a beef short rib entree, a dessert, and a decaf coffee. They had dumbbells for you to lift. Sanitizing wipes were provided to clean the machines after use. Bottled water was available in the gym. They no longer have a lounge here. Breakfast for platinum and above members are served in their Botanicus restaurant where you could either order off the menu or eat at their breakfast buffet. The breakfast was very good. Overall, it was an excellent stay here. Nice upgrade, nice gym, and very good restaurant.

During check-in, the front desk repeatedly reminded us that check-out time is 12 noon. So I have to ask: if I couldn't even check in at 9 PM, why should I be expected to check out on time? The room was in the worst condition I've ever seen. On the sofa bed sheets, there was a sticker stuck to the fabric--which makes me question whether they check these sheets at all, or worse, whether they even wash them. On one of the beds, we found hair along with blue and green stains. After we took another sheet from the sofa bed bag to cover it, we found a pink stain on that one too. Another layer had mold stains. If this is the quality of cleaning we're receiving, then the lack of rooms at 9 PM makes even less sense. Furthermore, no form of compensation was offered for the room or the extremely delayed check-in. The front desk asked for our understanding, saying that other guests had left their luggage at the desk and gone out for dinner. I don't understand why we would be checking in at 9 PM without having already had dinner ourselves in the first place. To think, they probably charged another guest for a late checkout, and that is exactly why our room was not ready. If this is the hotel's way of squeezing extra revenue, I have nothing left to say. I've stayed with Fairfield more than once, and this is by far the worst experience I've had.

When we grabbed a spare sheet from the sofa bed compartment to layer over it, that one came with a pink stain. Another blanket underneath showed mold spots. At that point, I stopped being surprised the room wasn't ready hours earlier--clearly, "clean" isn't in their vocabulary. And no, there was no apology in the form of compensation--not for the room condition, not for the wasted evening. The staff simply asked for understanding because other guests had left bags and gone out to dinner. I'm sorry, but why would we be checking in at 9 PM without having eaten ourselves? It feels like they prioritized a paid late checkout for someone else, and we bore the cost of that decision. If that's their business model, it says everything. I've trusted Fairfield on multiple stays before, but this experience has seriously shaken that trust. Hands down the worst stay I've ever had with them.

A few minor things to note: my room didn't come with robes or slippers, and the in-room coffee station used standard drip packs rather than espresso pods. I also experienced a fair amount of noise from an adjacent bar in the evening even though we were on the 23rd floor. Noise continued beyond 10pm and it was louder than the tv. However, the bed was comfortable, and the overall experience was still very positive. I would consider staying here again.

We did have breakfast included with our reservation, but we left too early to try it out. Parking is available on site. It is free.
