We stayed at the Courtyard Carolina Beach for two nights, a Thursday and Friday. The price was right for what you get. We thought maybe it wouldn't feel like beach trip being at a hotel like this but it was great! Tenth floor, sweeping ocean views! Comfortable bed, clean room, nice hotel staff. The location is great for easy boardwalk and beach access. There are a lot of places to eat or grab a drink close by. I honestly think my only complaint if pressed was the glass doors to the view outside could've been cleaner. Other than that, just awesome!

We visited in late January/ early February so prices were reasonable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were on the 7th of 10 floors. They were doing construction on the balconies but it was not very loud while we were there and we got multiple reminders in email and during checking in that this was happening. The Starbucks station and food vendor were friendly and we enjoyed coffee and breakfast sandwiches. There was no room cleaning service and we were there three nights. The app was recommended but never opened up on my phone.. We will be back..

Beautiful Resort - Oceanfront Room - Clean - Spacious! We were here for a 3-day work conference! Meeting rooms were cool (which is a good thing) speakers / all visual aids were up to date / and the catered food by the hotel ....Ahhh mazing!! Ample amount of parking however , the hotel will give you a parking pass 1 per room. Location - In the heart of Carolina Beach. Within walking distance of restaurants/ boardwalk/ ice cream ....you name it!!!

This place is not worth the price! The room we had was not the cleanest. There were stains on the computer chair and on the chair in the room. The TV didn't work, trying to watch YouTube. You would think for the price that It'll be nicer? The only good thing about this place is the view of the ocean, the access to the beach, the pools and that it's was next to the boardwalk but other than that not worth the PRICE!

Out of order

Need the elevator from your 5th floor room? Too bad, it's a 10-15 minute wait due to one elevator being down. Rooms were not ready at 4pm check in...poorly run establishment

The location is centered right next to the boardwalk .. So close in fact that you can hit the Ferris wheel with a rock. The noise from the boardwalk at night is loud until approximately 10p. Then it shuts down and you can hear the people still in the beach walking along with flashlights in hand. Nothnng bad... and mildly entertaining. The rooms are clean and nice enough .. 7 outta 10 in that area. The only real issue was the air conditioner. The second night it was loud... stupidly loud. Luckily my wife and I had noise canceling headphones and we finished off the last night, but it was an expletive of an experience hearing it. Make sure your rooms ac is in working order.

We checked in on January 26,2023, The check in was flawless. We received the most warming and welcoming service. They included a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling wine!! The room 701 was EPIC AND AMAZING!! We had one hiccup with the key card which they fixed it on the spot. Including free breakfast! We have used this WONDERFUL HOTEL; for every Wedding Anniversary for three years!! We have nothing but Amazing visits and Experiences with them!! The room was so beautiful!! Views from four different angles!! Ocean Front!! We are also complementing Bridgette who made sure we had fresh clean towels and anything we needed!! Also the two wonderful ladies that were very helpful on the weekend as well! A Hundred Stars and more is what we rate them!

My review echos some of what's below, so I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: all rooms are oceanfront. We were on the 10th floor in a king room. The view was gorgeous and the room and bathroom were spacious. Water pressure in shower was surprisingly solid with being ocean front. Bed was comfy and clean. Parking was easy and free. Ladies at the desk were kind and friendly. Lobby appeared clean. Super easy to walk out of hotel onto the boardwalk and to restaurants/bars. Cons: room definitely needed wiping down (which I do anyplace I'm staying nowadays.) The bottom of the bathtub looked grungy-probably from years of sand-but still...not Marriott standards. Housekeeping did not fill the body wash or leave toilet paper. And we only received 2 towels. Balcony furniture was flimsy and the windows and area in general needed a good cleaning. Overall, I would stay here again due to the views and location. But will continue to bring cleaning supplies. Hopefully Marriott updates and cleans in the future.

Bed super comfortable

Beautiful oceanfront view to a very nice and clean beach. Hotel wonderful! Nice and clean with comfy bed. Pool open, work out center and a bistro located in the first floor.will definitely be back.

I call and booking.com called them several times with no answer. Then at 7pm, I get an email apology and that they were still holding a room. They had just removed the decline at 7 pm. By then, with no additional funds, we had returned to the campsite and briefly stabilized my husband. After hours of being declined, they expected me to break down my campsite and move my husband again at 7pm. They are refusing to refund me for the error they made.

We could hear people fighting through the walls, which was scary and made it hard to relax. The main entrance was left unlocked all night, and there were no staff members or security present--just an overall feeling of being unsafe. To make matters worse, we just saw on the news that there was a shooting at this hotel, which sadly doesn't surprise me. Our group had multiple rooms and all showed signs of pets--hair, strong chemical smells clearly trying to cover up pet odors, and a general lack of cleanliness. There was no front desk, no amenities, and no one available to help or even answer basic questions. It's under new ownership now, and unfortunately, it shows. I would proceed with caution, but personally, I will not be staying here again.

Right off the beach - Has private access to the beach and boardwalk - Older motel but they keep it up very well - Tight parking. You will get an assigned parking spot. - Nice outdoor seating area and pool - Good value, at least compared to the two major chains on the beach. - Room had all of the basics, including a Keurig coffee maker. No iron and ironing board but you are at the beach. - SeaWitch Restaurant and Tiki Bar across the street can be loud at night Just a few more items I noticed. The blinds in the room suck. People outside can see right through the blinds. You can reverse them to provide some privacy, but I would still avoid getting busy with your significant other, or yourself, if your bed is by the window. Water pressure in our bathroom was vey low. Also, hot water was hit or miss. May have just been our room but letting you know. If you want you can take your adult drink of choice to the common areas and enjoy the outdoors and the music coming from the SeaWitch restaurant across the street. You can also enjoy it from the front porch. Just be sure it is concealed. If you want to turn in early, good luck. Like I stated above, you will be able to hear the music from across the street in your room

We stayed at The Lighthouse at Kure Beach for four nights in mid October. I like going to the beach…read morein the off season. The weather is still nice enough to enjoy the beach, the hotel deck and the pier. In narrowing down where we wanted to stay, it came down to who we are as vacationers. Even when at the beach we tend to spend quite a bit of time in our hotel, so it's more than just a bed to sleep in between activities, we want it to be comfortable and nice. The Lighthouse was perfect because it's just been renovated, is as close as you can get to the water, and depending on what room you choose, you can have an overview of the ocean. We chose the Grandview, and it was. I will mention there are residential homes right next to it but that was fine by us. I would describe our room as a lovely studio apartment with a massive bathroom. There's a pretty full kitchen, mini fridge, table to eat at, couch and very comfy bed. Now, the bed is very close to the kitchen but again, it was fine. The decor is trendy, grays and minimal. The dividers on the deck are sort of like shipping pallets hung vertically so you can certainly hear your neighbors conversations if they are out there. We didn't find this too distracting, just of note. Almost everything you could need is provided - dishes, coffee, towels, cooking utensils, microwave and electric stovetop. I mostly used the wine glasses. The outside areas of the hotel are also lovely. Potted flowers, fresh mulch and palm trees decorate the outdoors. There's a shower on the first floor to wash off and sand acquired at the beach. Even in off season there are a few walkable restaurants and of course the pier with a gift shop. The contact with management/owner was very easy and professional. You get a parking pass so you don't have to worry about street parking. We were on the third floor and I don't believe there is an elevator, just of note.

We then called around to some other hotels, and found the Savannah Inn had 1 room available. We were in room 21, one of the private suites. It was perfect for our family as it had a separate twin bed sectioned off with bi-fold doors, my son was delighted to have his own bed. The room was fairly clean and everything was functioning. The only thing, I was told during my phone conversation that it would have a full kitchen, but it didn't have a stove (some of the other units do have stoves). Customer service was great, they even turned on the ac as soon as I called, and the room felt great upon arrival 20 min after the call. If staying at the hotel, I would recommend one of the 2nd floor units facing the ocean. The beach is a short 2 min walk from the hotel room, and has nice fine sand. The price was very reasonable, but the clientele differs from e on we are used to at Wrightsville Beach.

When we got there on a Monday, there was only one other car in the parking lot. There's no housekeeping possibly because they said that they're being bought out. Next morning, we reported that the toaster and microwave didn't work. Toilet sink was clogged and it needs more toilet paper. Towels were really thin so we needed more but no one came so we had to call the number the office left posted on the door late evening. They came and left a bin full of towels and offered They have a kitchen but make sure to bring paper towel, salt, pepper and trash bags. It's a bit run down and don't expect workers until the transition is done. It needs upgrade desperately. We love to love it because it has such great potential esp in the summer but I don't think we'll stay again until new owners come in with some hospitality trained staff.

So sad to see this place go downhill like this. We've been coming here for at least 15 years and will likely never come back. You can stay at the Hampton Inn for around the same price and get free breakfast, the ability to walk to restaurants, the boardwalk, or the amusement area. **Update: I added a couple of stars to my original review because the employees here are so friendly and welcoming.
