We have been staying at Seven Seas for many years. It's a small family owned motel near the Kure Beach fishing pier with direct access to the beach. Their pool area is awesome and convenient. What sticks out in my mind is the way we are treated as guests. We are not only customers to Victor and Bridgette but more like family. They truly want to know how we are doing and get to know their customers. They are not a chain and they don't charge chain prices. The room are comfortable and cozy. Speaking from someone who is picky, I feel comfortable staying here and sleeping here, Some people have referenced the age of the motel. Seven Seas Inn is truly what a beach motel should be...relaxed with a sense of home. Thought of staying at other places but no other place exudes Kure Beach and family! read more

A simple and clean non-chain hotel. It is not fancy but the rooms overlooking the pool are kind of quaint and have everything you could want for a few nights: less than 50 yards to the beach and less than 50 feet to the pool. The rooms have tile floors, a couch, small table for sitting, a microwave, a fridge, and sink.. and they make the room with touch more than the basic amenities. The Kure Beach pier is a stones throw away, as are a small kids playground, restaurants, and a crappy arcade. it really is great location! read more

Been going here since I was a little baby. Almost been every year. It's great. Owner and his family is incredibly nice. Rooms are perfect. I get in the bed and am almost instantly tired. Couch is super comfy too. Can also fold out into bed. Love the pool. Its in an L shape with one being 3 feet and the other being 3-5ft. Perfect for swimming a few laps. Great place. I should have read the reviews here. They are all very accurate. Front desk lady could use some personality. Room was nothing as pictured on the website. Over sized kitchen table that looked to have come from a cheap yard sale. No room for clothing storage. Sliding shower door was broken and extremely hard to use. Dead bolt on door was nearly rusted off and needed to be replaced. Television was a 24" flat screen that was hard to even see from the bed and took up usable space rather than being wall mounted. Small refridgerator looked to be fairly new, but had no ice trays and there was no ice machine for customer use. Instead from 8-5 you could buy a 10 pound bag of ice from them. If you could find staff. (Not advertised, but I noticed the ice cooler with a sign) Coffee maker was rusted and nasty as well as the pots and pans provided. Very few parking spaces available and we were told first come first serve. read more

The only reason I'm giving one star is because 1. Yelp! requires it. 2. The pool was nice. 3. There was ONE "unpaid" employee who helped out around this place (who finally helped me check out) and a child (12 years old, maybe, he helped me carry ice...) of the employees that was super kind and respectful. Otherwise: I have stayed at mom & pop motels my entire life and have no issues with "nothin' fancy" when you come to the beach when it comes to accommodations. I have never said I would not return to a particular motel in the past, but I guarantee you I will NEVER return to this place. 1. The hotel is old. Extremely dated, faulty wiring in the third story building, all lights flickered when you plug anything into sockets, the lights look like they are from a 1980's Pizza Hut. I hope you don't get motion sickness because the entire building sways 24/7. We had to go buy our own blankets on arrival because the comforters on the bed were EASILY the grossest things I've ever seen and were about 15 years old. Expecting to have a nice air conditioned room? Good luck. The tiny WINDOW UNIT is about 15 years old and barely does it's job. 2. Only allowed one car, which is cool, but there isn't enough parking for all guests when it's full. There is old appliances, random junk and trailers parked underneath the building further limiting parking for guests. 3. COVID is rampant, I get it. Housekeeping isn't allowed in rooms. We are told to leave trash and towels outside. Trash stayed outside the room for 2 days before we took it down ourselves - causing large roaches to gather outside the door. Left 4 large towels outside only for housekeeping to leave 4 tiny towels in their place. Bought our own toilet paper AND trashbags because we never got any. Don't try calling the front desk, they never answer. 4. You're on an episode of Big Brother the entire stay. Between the large, rude male owner patrolling the parking lot in his scooter and his rude wife patrolling the pool 24/7, 0 fun is allowed. Not to mention, smile - you're on candid camera 24/7. Just checkout the big screen in the office with TONS of cameras on you at all times. Didn't know I signed up to be a celebrity by staying here. 5. If you check in and look like you may be less than 40 years old, you will be asked one million questions. Repeatedly asking the same questions and assuming I would be up to no good the entire stay was pretty degrading. Especially considering my crew of people who were all under 26 were all much more well behaved than the crew staying a few doors down who had police called on them and were constantly stumbling in and out of their room - clearly strung out. 6. Check out = nightmare. They don't tell you where to leave the key (in the room, box, etc). Hours on the door say 9:30 opening time. At 9:30, I'm at the window asking where to leave the key and I'm greeted by a child who was just yelled at by his mom inside saying "I CAN'T DEAL WITH THAT RIGHT NOW." And the kid asks me to come back. I have a 3 hour drive. I just need to give someone this key or talk to a human who can tell me where to leave it. Too hard for the employee behind the counter apparently. 7. Neighbors mentioned above screamed at each other all night long about their drug use, and they also stole our beach chair. Cool, they needed it more than we did, but all the employee said was "most people have the same beach chair, but I can politely tell them they are an a**hole if that's what you want." I can do that myself, thanks. *EDIT: I will be fair, the owner did call after we left and apologized for our experience with the neighbor and offered us $25 credit on our next stay at Seven Seas Inn. Nice gesture, but won't be used. The only reason we stayed here was because our reservation at Sand Dunes Motel was cancelled last minute due to hurricane damage. If you are looking for a nice, clean, with friendly owners who actually care about their guests and want them to enjoy their vacation, Seven Seas Inn is NOT the place. read more

Our family stayed here for the beach the cleaning crew were nice, but my kids went to the pool and they were blamed for doing something they didn't do by this guy in a scooter. He rolled up and I was checking on the kids when he asked me that if my kids were mine, a little confused I said yes he said in a very stern manner if he could speak to them. i asked him why and he said just because and I said they are my kids I can speak to them and then he got mad and he started cussing me out in front of my kids. and my kids came out because I motioned to them we were going to the beach and he started cussing my kids out. and they are in there teens and he is a grown man. But I told him that we were staying here and he told me that I was full of shit, and I was shocked but after that I ignored him.and me and my kids went with our day and sometimes would see him around but we would try our best to avoid him. But if you are staying here for a day or so I would take it,but I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than 3 days. read more

The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because I feel I overpaid for what I was given. I stayed in a single room with 2 queen beds, it had a bathroom, a small kitchen with an oven/range, microwave, plates/silverware, and a small kitchen table with 4 chairs. There was a small tv, and although having a channel guide, it only had one channel? The bathroom was alright, the shower's water pressure was fine, but hey only provide you with bar soap, no shampoo or any other toiletries. No iron (you are at the beach, what do you need it for anyway), no hairdryer or bathroom hand soap. Also, for some reason they (the owners) had limited hours, so they would really only answer the phone every other call. They had wifi but it's password protected and they didn't tell me the password when I checked in. I tried calling but no one picked up. The walls are thin and the beds aren't too comfortable. But all in all it is decently clean, no bugs that I saw so unpleasant smell. I just think it was a little too pricey for what they were giving in return. Oh, they do have a nice outdoor pool and showers. Maybe the rooms closer to the pool are nicer than the one I stayed in, but I feel they should have a price reflecting what you're getting. I would say the best thing about this Inn is it's distance from the beach. It's literally a 3 minute walk away from this Inn, so that's awesome. If you want somewhere with an outdoor pool, decent-ish living space, is right off the beach and is a little bit higher of a price, I'd recommend this place. read more

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Mattresses and sheets weren't what you normally find in a hotel. Very comfortable. Box fan provided in addition to the window unit. The shower is a full size shower, not the tiny one we usually have a beach motels. Now, for the cons. We never really could get hot water to shower or wash dishes. Just warm. Mattress on fold out could was dirty (like dirt and sand dirty) and very flimsy and uncomfortable with dead bugs behind couch. We came in after hours so the owners were gone by the time we got there. No bedding was provided for the fold out though they were aware we had 5 people and needed that bed. We had to wait till morning for the bedding. Though, after seeing the mattress, my son decided to sleep on the couch itself which was very nice and comfortable. read more

Worst experience I have ever had in my 20+ years of visiting Kure Beach. The manager accused us of smoking in the room and charged my card an additional $50.00. There was no convincing him (and her - I talked to 2 different people, the last one being Vic) that no one smoked in that room. It was cold at night so my sister and I wrapped blankets around us to go outside and smoke. Our own blankets that we brought with us mind you. I am so angry that we were conscientious enough to go outside in the cold, bundled up and then be told I smoked in the room. Livid is all I can say. So they not only stole from me they also called me a liar. I will never stay here again. I have been visiting the island for over 20 years as I said, never had one bad experience anywhere I have stayed. Beware and wary of this place and the management. read more

I'm a simple person who doesn't need fancy accommodations but this place was atrocious. Our extended family reserved four rooms and stayed 4 nights. This was 3 nights more than we wanted to stay but with a no refund policy we decided to tough it out and spend as little time in the rooms as possible. The rooms were not clean. We found an old rotten orange in one of the drawers which is proof they are not cleaned between guests. The refrigerator was very wobbly due to a broken leg but that's ok I guess. The rooms had doorways where you can open the doors and have two separate rooms open into one room. The door separating our room from the room next door would not lock so the guest next door could walk into our room at any point day or night. Not cool! One room had ants in it, another had Godzilla sized roaches that I thought might kill us in our sleep. The other two rooms appeared to be bug free. One room had a toilet that was clogged from day one. They gave us a plunger to fix it ourselves. If we'd taken a larger than life crap and clogged it up fine but this was not a huge turd issue but something on a much larger scale as the shower in the same room would not drain. The office staff did nothing to even attempt to fix this while we were there. The tv in one room was broken but we had a family member with us who can repair televisions so he was able to fix it. So much for being on vacation. The phones in two of the rooms didn't work. Fortunately I guess most people have cell phones now. Not once during our 4 night stay did we get clean bath towels and cloths or extra toilet paper. Not Once! They Did empty Our trash twice. To top it off the staff was extremely rude. The lady at the check in desk was very nice but everything went down hill from there. They must constantly watch you on camera because they would come running out of their little office and demand the umbrellas be put down as soon as someone got one up. This not only happened to our family but other guests as well. I understand it's windy and for safety reasons the umbrellas need to be taken down but that can be said in a kind way. They didn't give their guests time to move they just rushed in and started closing the umbrellas with you right under them. We had a 5 month old baby with us under the umbrella and it was 95 degrees out but they didn't care. If the umbrellas can't be used remove them or if you need them there for decoration put a sign on them. Better yet use some of that $4000 we spent to stay in this ramshackle of a hotel and anchor the umbrellas to the pavement! Again I don't expect diamonds, gold, and glitter but I do expect a kind staff, clean insect free rooms without decaying fruit, working tubs and toilets, a clean wash cloth at least every couple days, and to be able to safely lock myself in my room at night. Oh and the Wi-Fi doesn't work and playing with a ball in the pool is forbidden. The location is good as you're a stone's throw away from the Kure Pier and within walking distance to a few restaurants. read more

Dirty Not Cheap Motel Web Pictures a Scam! The Motel looks great on the website but don't be fooled reviews do matter. I can only blame myself for this one! Upon arrival we were the first ones to check in and being Labor day weekend found this a a little odd but as we were walking to check i in we noticed all the doors on all the rooms were open I think they were cooling the rooms down before folks checked in. The air wasn't on and they were hot! When we checked in they gave us a different room then they told us about and did not want to want to refund our money saying the website says Any cancellations within 21 days of the arrival date will result in Non-Refund of the first night's deposit which is 155 dollars. This is on the rates page not home page and is listed under fine print. We wanted ocean front efficiency and they told us on the phone this would be 12 or 15 but when we got there they wanted more money for these rooms and gave us room 22 which on the website is an ocean view room with an old house in front of you and the ocean. The room smelled musty the sheets and bedspreads looked slept in we were going to wash the sheets the laundry room didn't work so we sprayed with Lysol. The water hose didn't work to wash the sand off your beach chairs or shoes. The birds were using the pool as a birdbath feathers and bird poo was all over the place and in the water. Everything was broken or falling down the shower doors in our room fell in on us and the handles fell off and and the commode stopped up and no commode plunger and or no one in office to help. We had an after hours number to leave a message. If you left early and we did your key was to be put in a drop box that you or anyone could reach your hand in and get the key back. We worried that someone might break in the room. Do not stay here if you want a nice clean motel BAD experience and way more costly then the older more seasoned motels which are kept up and clean. read more

Stayed here the week after July 4th. Rooms were clean & good size. Cleaning crew were nice & polite. Guy at front desk was a little rude. Pool was great. No smoking in rooms, understandable, but you can smoke on the balcony at least. Small fridge, but no microwave:( , coffee pot, but no coffee:( .I'd have to say we enjoyed our stay & would likely stay again. No problems really. read more
