This is a decent Courtyard location with reasonable rates. The service is attentive and there is ample parking all around the hotel. It's definitely one or the larger Courtyards I've stayed at, if your room is on the back half of the building it might make more sense to just drive around to the back and park there. This location does have an older decor package, and to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the red wallpaper they behind the beds, it just doesn't seem as relaxing as the newer ones that have more greys and blues. In terms of dining, there a large pub/sports bar just a 3 minute walk away that has a good craft beer selection and some more interesting food choices ham what you would get in the Courtyard's Bistro. But, I will say, props to the Bistro here for actually having a local beer selection available!

You can choose to prepay and get a slightly lower rate or make the reservation and pay on arrival. If you have a free Drury Rewards account, you also get a slightly lower rate. The hotel is easy to find and basically right off of the highway. There is ample parking and the lot was well maintained. Check in was quick and easy. Even though we prepaid, they still ran a card for the $50 deposit. The hold on mine was released about 12 hours after checkout. The front desk associate was incredibly friendly and helpful. we were even upgraded to a suite! One of the things I love about Drury are the meals. The evening reception the night we were there had pulled pork, coleslaw, hot dogs, baked beans and salad. You could also get unlimited pop and three alcoholic drinks. Staff was very attentive in keeping food full and the area clean. Our room was large and spotless. When we entered, there was a chair, pul out couch, tables and a tv. the center hallway had a counter with drawers, a sink and the microwave and fridge. The bathroom had a spacious shower with pumps of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I was impressed with how comfortable the beds were! We had forgotten toothpaste and the front desk was able to give us a small tube free of charge. The pool area was clean and well maintained, but fairly small. Overall, a wonderful stay and definitely a hotel I would stay at again.

This location is a little bit different than others that I've stayed at. We booked a room with 2 Queen beds. Please read this entire review in order to be completely fair to this location. First the not so good: Our room was not 100% clean upon check in. We arrived late and so by the time we got unsettled I'm ready to call into bed, we realized one of the comforters had a blood stain on it. We were told that housekeeping leaves in the afternoon and so they couldn't provide us with a clean comforter. Next, this is the first Drury Inn we have stayed at that stopped popcorn by 8 PM. Every other one has had it going till at least 10 PM. Families like to have movie night and/or grab a bag after playing in the pool or relaxing in the hot tub, this location promptly stops at 8. If they have any extra popcorn, they do bag it and place it on the counter but they go quickly. Typically, I bring microwave popcorn to hotels but I can always count on Drury until this stay. Next, cabinets in the dining area are pretty filthy. I think this is just more of an attention to detail that I notice. Last bad experience: the exit doors kept getting propped open by contractors reserving meeting spaces. In our short three night stay, I can count on both hands how many times I removed stones from the doors. Lastly, the coffee station is in an incredibly awkward spot. I would venture to say most people reserving rooms are adults and they like their coffee. The station is awkwardly set in the middle corner of the breakfast area which creates a traffic jam in the morning mornings. Give yourself extra time. Now onto the good...no GREAT: Armani was at the front desk when we reported the dirty comforter. She handled it with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I could tell she really felt bad for the experience and wanted to make it right. Next the food area is kept well cleaned and they have a great variety of food. I love that they offer real half-and-half for creamer. Next, when we reported the stones in the doors, management did a perimeter check and ensure that the contractors renting the meeting space were instructed not to do it again. When they ended up doing it again, they actually discontinued the contract and blacklisted them so that they're not able to come back again and rent the space. I love that security is important to management, too! Back to the popcorn. There were some rowdy kids in the pool one evening when a few of us were soaking in the hot tub. A staff member came in and without saying much could understand that a couple of the people were very uncomfortable with the level of noise of the kids. The parents sat outside while the kids were rambunctious inside. She actually went over and kindly told them that they had to be with their children because they were all under age. She brought peace to the experience which was a really nice way to end the day. Next, I really liked one of the speakers at the convention And so I ordered a book to be delivered to the hotel. I put my room number on the Amazon order assuming that it would be left there or that they would notify me when it was delivered. It was probably my fault for not going and checking but we were so busy with the convention I'm nearly forgot and left the book behind. I called the hotel and not only did they find the package but, and I don't think that would happen for everybody but I'm sure thankful it happened for me, a manager was willing to return the package to a UPS store for me. He texted me and I was able to give him the return shipping label. Talk about outstanding service! This specific individual was Andrew and he deserves all the props for making this such a solid experience for me. He didn't have to do that and quite frankly I didn't expect him to. This was definitely above and beyond my expectations! Back to the popcorn, an employee Was kind enough to hold bags for us on the last night so that when we came back late from our convention, we were able to enjoy some popcorn. I really appreciated this gesture because you know it was important to us as guests. Also, we were Pleased with how they dealt with the soiled comforter. They offered to change rooms but when it was so late, and I was rather upset, they gave us a discount on other two nights. That was greatly appreciated and handled the right way. I can't imagine the employee who left the bloody comforter will ever do that again. Next really nice thing, the Jim: we had some equipment malfunctions early on this day but they were fixed quickly by a technician and we were able to use the gym daily. I really appreciate how fast they tried to make that right. Even though a lot of things went wrong, this Drury location exemplified how to make things right when things go wrong. I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom could've been cleaner though- there was hair on the floor and all over the shower upon my arrival. Love a king bed room and didn't even have to ask for it lol. All the staff was very friendly. Was in the conference room for two days and the banquet staff was awesome. Ken was excellent! There was a young girl that was great too. Lots of seating in the lobby and plenty of parking. bar was overpriced, even for a hotel bar. A bud lite was $8 plus $1 tip, highway robbery. Bar was definitely better at the Embassy but that's it. Other than the bar prices my only complaints were that the doors were locked if you used the stairs. Like I walked down the stairs from the floor my room was on but couldn't get out into the hall? I ended up walking down to the first floor and using the exit door and walking outside. Also, no complimentary bottled water in the room. Maybe the HGIs don't do this, but most hotels of similar calibers do. Would be a nice touch. Overall enjoyed my stay and would definitely rebook for when i'm in Blue Ash/Greater Cincy again.

A "Minimalist" Experience That Wasn't Advertised…read more I recently stayed at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Cincinnati-Blue Ash, and unfortunately, the overall experience was mid at best -- and ultimately a 1-star experience for me. I understand that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Renovations themselves are not necessarily a problem. Guests can be understanding when a property is improving, provided they know what to expect and the guest experience is still being treated as a priority. What concerned me was the decision to remove basic room amenities during the renovation without adequately communicating that change to guests. For example, there were no drawers for clothing. If the intention is to create a more modern, minimalist room concept, that's a design choice -- but it should be communicated to guests before they book. People staying several nights expect reasonable places to unpack and organize their clothing. Living out of a suitcase because there is nowhere to put your clothes does not feel like an upgraded hotel experience. The iron was sitting on the bathroom sink, which added to the impression that the room was not fully prepared or thoughtfully designed for guests. And that's really the larger issue: the experience felt unfinished. I have no problem with a hotel renovating. In fact, I hope the renovations ultimately produce a significantly better property. But guests should not have to experience the inconvenience of a renovation while still being charged as though they are receiving a fully operational, finished DoubleTree experience. If management has intentionally moved toward a minimalist room concept, then I would strongly suggest advertising it that way. There is a significant difference between minimalist and missing basic amenities. The DoubleTree brand carries a certain expectation of comfort and hospitality. During a renovation, management has an opportunity to protect that expectation by being transparent about what guests will and will not have available. My recommendation: Wait until the renovations are completed before booking. I hope the finished product reflects the investment being made into the property. But based on my experience, this stay was a 1-star experience.

The front desk was staffed and the employees were very friendly and prompt. I was given a room on the fourth floor and a bag with two waters and some snacks. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is stunning. The downstairs is massive, tons of seating, has a bar, a pool, and a gym. I took a walk around a few times during my stay and was impressed. They have a hot breakfast bar in the morning that includes an omelette and pancake station, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, coffee and juices. The breakfast bar was staffed with a friendly woman collecting plates and cups and dishes and providing any assistance needed. The gym was on the larger side for a hotel and I thought all of the equipment was in great shape. The pool was beautiful, but I didn't have a swimsuit to give it a try. Overall, the stay exceeded expectations. The staff was amazing, the room was clean, and the bed was beyond comfortable. So happy we chose this location. I was initially hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I am glad I gave it a try. The first evening, we attended the manager's reception, which was nice, though it could use a little improvement. Let's throw in some cheese. Breakfast was great, especially the custom made omelet with sausage, jalapeños, onion, cheese, and spinach. They had an awesome breakfast spread overall. Really appreciated the early check in (room was ready via the app) and the late checkout. As a Diamond member, I loved the "princess parking" reserved for Hilton Honors Diamond guests but there was plenty of parking overall. Not to take away from anyone's experience, but honestly, this was a great stay so surprised at some of the reviews. If anyone needs a recommendation, we stayed in room 525. I didn't get in the pool but they have a nice pool and fitness center. Maybe next time. It's a good choice. Either dinner at the hotel or dive to a nearby restaurant but friendly staff and a great choice all around.
