Spent about 11 days here for business and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond throughout my stay -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The manager even found a way to get the pool open for us to use, before we left! That level of service makes a huge difference when you're away from home for nearly two weeks. The room was very spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had outstanding water pressure (which deserves extra points after long workdays ). Breakfast was delicious every single morning with a limited variety but excellent quality -- definitely something I looked forward to daily. Comfortable, clean, welcoming, and consistently well run. I would absolutely recommend Marriott Addison to anyone traveling for business or leisure, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again! read more

Over multiple stays I found this hotel uses too much air freshener and numerous times I had to wait for someone to come to the front desk. Complimentary Starbucks coffee is my fav part of staying here and they offer a dark roast so they get bonus points for this. Plus the breakfast items from the bistro are surprisingly tasty. However the bistro is also often unattended and when it is attended they are distractingly chatty behind the counter to the point that I found it difficult to enjoy my coffee and food from the dining area. Room rates greatly vary, so check the price before booking because there are other options in the area. read more

A very pleasant surprise! All started with our lovely host during checkin, Dale, who was helpful, thanked me for my status, offered me water and gave me & my work colleague lovely rooms without screaming babies next door. Super clean, comfy, just the right temperature too and very quiet. I did enjoy a drink at the bar and both bartenders were attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back for work trips. read more

We didn't stay here because when we got there we were told they overbooked and were sending us down the road to Residence Marriott. After reading some of the reviews, I guess it was a good thing we got moved. Where they sent us (Residence Marriott) wasn't great and not somewhere I would ever stay again, but at least I didn't see a bug in my room like reviewers said about Courtyard, and hopefully none made their way home with me. This same thing happened to us before where they said they had overbooked and we had to go to another hotel, so we will not be staying at any other Marriotts from now on. We were also told someone from Marriott would call us, never received a call. read more

The room was infested with bugs and absolutely disgusting. I did not notice the infestation when I first got to the room and fell asleep right away. We stayed at this hotel on February 15 (Saturday) and checked in very late. The check-in process took about 20 minutes because the front desk clerk had difficulty locating the plastic keys. The room was clean, and the location was great! Our only complaint was that there was only one elevator, which was located at the back corner of the hotel. Additionally, the hallway and sometimes our room had a strong smell of smoke. I'm not sure what the hotel can do about that when other guests are not following the rules. I probably won't stay at this location again, even though the price was great! read more

Clean Affordable stay fairly close to town. Dallas like all Texas cities has a lot of sprawl, but Addison is located 15 min from downtown and close to a ton of great eating and shopping. Made for the perfect place for a short 2 day stay. This courtyard seemed to have a recent lobby renovation which is clean, spacious, and modern. Checkin was efficient with a friendly staff and minimal wait. Parking is a bit spread out as this property doesn't have many floors but plenty of entrances to get in. Rooms were very spacious but your typical courtyard basic fare. Beds were comfortable enough, bathroom was a good size, and furniture seemed to be in good condition. Not much of a view except the interior courtyard which had a nice sitting area and pool. Gym was very nicely sized though, wifi worked fine, and nothing was broken. Definitely a good budget stay. read more

So very disappointed. They could have posted or communicated this information when I called this morning to discuss their pet policy. Now I'm starved and Geuss what!? THE BISTRO RESTAURANT IS CLOSED DUE TO LOW OCCUPANCY. I SUPPOSE THEY DON'T DEEM IT WORTHWHILE FOR ANY GUESTS TO EAT IF THEY DON'T HAVE 80 % OCCUPANCY. Was traveling and I feel very violated after my stay here. Everything was clean and friendly staff, but my biggest problem is that I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign posted. After returning from my daily errands the room was breached and my things were moved around. I called front desk to understand what's the purpose of having "Do Not Disturb" sign when my room is going to be breached by staff. What if I was sleeping or getting dressed. It's ah-ite. It's in a an area that's close to some good to great dining and only a couple of miles from the Galleria. The building itself is fairly old but the hotel is fairly current. I have always found the front desk staff to be helpful and courteous. The food isn't great but it isn't great at any Courtyard. I would order dinner or anything unless you have too. There are just way too many dining options within a 5 minute drive. Every room I've had has been clean and haven't run into any unwanted guests of the roach kind in 10+ stays. read more

I stayed at this hotel for Kaboom Town on the evening of July 3, 2024. My family (2 adults, 1 child) stayed at this location because we were flying out from Lovefield on a very early flight. I confirmed with the hotel that I could leave my car there during our trip prior to booking. Our stay was fine- the hotel was a great location for Kaboom town. The problem was after I received my credit card statement I saw they charged me an extra $75. I called the hotel directly to see what the charge was for and to get it corrected, thinking it was a simple mistake. They are (and have not) refunded this charge. They claim to have "video evidence" of "pet hair" in the room we stayed in - however the "video evidence" doesn't show any details of the actual room - was it one bed or two, the layout of the room, what the room number was, even a time/date stamp on when the video was taken. They don't have any video footage of me/my family entering or exiting the hotel with a pet. When we checked out in the morning, we took an Uber to the airport - which picked us up at the front door- and again, there is no footage of me/my family with any pet (because we don't have any pets). When I called the hotel directly, Juan Jimenez, the AGM, was less than helpful. The GM, Marcus Brewer, was also not helpful in getting this issue resolved. I also filed a case with Marriott Corporate and they have not been able to resolve this issue in the last three weeks, nor has their been any communication in regards to the case that was filed. read more

Full disclosiure - I didn't stay the night here. I simply went to a hotel party here when Oktoberfest was cancelled. First things first - It's pretty conveniently located, in relation to all of the things around it. The parking is all very close to the building, and besides the lobby, it is pretty impregnable (or impenetrable) from the outside. I should get a badge for using both of those disgusting sounding words in one sentence, while talking about a hotel. I arrived with the host and hostess, Room 259. When we walked in it was HOTTTTT in there. Turns out, the air was broken. A quick call and a gentleman came and checked on it. By this time, 8 people had arrived to party. As the gentleman went to fetch new keys to the room across the hall (257) he asked me "Hey, how many people you got here?" I figured it was big trouble in little Addison then. Instead, he returned smiling with 2 new keys, and breakfast coupons for the host and hostess. Nice! The new room was clean, cool and a good fit for 2 people (obvs, not for as many people as we had, plus bottles, plus the chairs we dragged in from the balcony - which was long and skinny). Ultimately, we had a great time, and no one complained. Misc: As all hotels go, the walls aren't soundproof. Even with our door closed, and the balcony closed, I could hear our party outside AND at the ice machine (forreal, across the building). You will see stairs that lead to the roof hatch. It seems like you can't open it, but you can (we had a fireman in our party who did). However, it is a soft roof, with a big satellite and electrical units. Not suitable for drunken parties with multitudes of people. Figure out where your room is and then park. The parking goes alllllll the way around. Have fun, and BE SAFE! read more

Passing through Dallas for business and this hotel was quiet and comfortable. Rating my stay at 4 stars since I had a room on the 2nd floor facing the courtyard with a small balcony. This location felt more secure than a ground level room facing the parking lot. The staff was friendly at check in, parking was easy (although entering the hotel in the evenings from a side entrance isn't my first choice), and there's a small fridge and microwave in the rooms. The gym is small but I had it to myself. Hopefully the hotel will add a water cooler to the workout space. There's an elevator if you need it, and you can request Starbucks from the front desk. They also offered an evening reception during my stay. Given the hotel's effort to cater to guests, I would stay here again if in the area. read more

Business traveler and what an inconvenient hotel. The elevator is on the complete opposite side of the hotel so it's in the back of the hotel. I go all the way down there then I go to my floor. My room was all the way back at the front. Room was dated with ugly curtains and had a bad odor. Parking is inconvenient for visitors. There is no parking in front of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for the common business traveler. read more

Not the best. Definitely not the worst. We all travel, and some of us travel for work. That being said, we are forced into a small variety of choices our employers make for us, and this choice wasn't terrible, and it wasn't the best. Hence the three-stars. Clean on arrival, the air conditioning worked wonders, and we had our corporate breakfast ready on-time. The Courtyard brand is a mish-mash of business and very little pleasure-type guests, and it seems that most of the bad reviews of this location aren't business-ey types, which have to put with crap accommodations at times. Again, this place isn't bad, and I can sleep anywhere. The layout of the property screams early 1980's, along with the exterior design, but if you are picking your hotel based on looks, then you obviously don't know what your primary function is AT a hotel. Sleep, breakfast, and occasionally sit in the lobby with co-workers with a beer in-hand. All of those things happened this trip, and had no major quibbles. I'm sure I'll be back here again at some point, and if they keep it this way, then I'll be ok with it. read more

When driving to this location, I passed it up because the sign was semi visible. My suggestion is drive slow. There are 2 different streets that will get you to the hotel, so don't panic. Once I pulled up, the check in process was easy. The directions in which to park to get to my room, not so much. So I followed the directions and the key badge didn't work. So I have to drive back to the front. She reissued a key and I drove back, still didn't work. So I parked on the opposite side of the building, walked across the hotel to get to my room. (Since my stay they have fixed that door key badge, good for them) The room was really nice and clean. I went to take a nap and dogs started to bark. My room was next to a dog park. I watch some of them play for a while, entertaining but when I wanted to rest, I wish my room was so close. (Spoke to manager who advised me to let them know I want to sleep during the day and they will place me in a room far away from the dogs. lol ok) I called the front desk and requested they not clean my room, so I could acquire Marriott points. they have a throw in the towel promotion. Came back to my clean room. Oh well. Came back to the hotel late one night and myself and 2 other guys tried to get into a different door and after 3 swipes the door finally unlatched and opened. seriously guys, do you want us to come in or not? lol all in all, its an ok hotel. not a roach motel but little things bother me, so I will probably stay elsewhere next time. I'm a Marriott Platinum and generally speaking I love the brand and appreciate the lengths they go to to make me comfortable. I suppose I shouldn't complain for a room rate of $104 but....the service I got here wasn't worth half that much. At check in, one harassed individual trying to handle three or four check-ins at once. During the virtually wordless "welcome" he was on the phone trying to get a cab for another guest. Ok, they're lean on front of house people. I only check in once: I can let that go. Then the bizarre configuration of the property. I asked for a low floor room, and didn't get one; no problem. "Do you want the elevators, or the quick way?" That should've warned me, but....I'm old and tired so the elevators suit me fine. Little did I know I would be walking about half a mile in a bizarre loop to use a very slow elevator. Finally, the bistro. I'm kinda bored with their options, as often as I stay, but it's convenient and after my intrepid trek to my room I figure I've earned a glass of wine. Another long - and I mean, l o n g - wait to be served by a guy who had "I hate my job, and I hate you for it" written all over him. The customer after me had to go bang on the kitchen door and shout "hello?" To get anyone's attention after a long wait. I use Courtyards all the time. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone who expects a welcome and basic service and food that tastes better than something still in the microwave. Yikes..... read more

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean my room was. There was an adequate fitness room and the small cafe provided a good variety of meals. I was even able to enjoy a filling and delicious low carb meal. The rooms are a bit thin in the walls and muffled conversations can be heard. read more

Very positive experience. I drove up from Austin on a Friday night. In rush hour. On a Holiday weekend. In the rain. So yea, it took me forever and I wasn't exactly in the best mood when I arrived. But I pulled into the covered driveway (yea!) and Thyme (yes, her actual name, cool huh?) welcomed me with a smile. check in was speedy, and a minute later I pulled around the corner and got a parking spot right in front of the side entrance. In fact, every time I came back to the hotel I got a spot right in front. Since it was a miserable weekend, this was thrilling. There seemed to be plenty of people staying there, but depending on the location of your room there are different key-card access only entrances. I had a single room with a King bed, and all the goodies (hairdryer, iron, good toiletries, coffee pot, fridge, micro, wifi, cable on a big flat screen, etc) which I got on the cheap. (Hotels.com!) The room was spacious and very clean and had a large window that when opened looked out onto those big trees with the clusters of bright fushia flowers. Ok, so it was rainy during my entire stay, but it still brightened my mood when I opened the drapes in the morning. The bed was gigantic and really soft - loved it. The bathroom was huge and most importantly, spotless. I wasn't in my room a ton, but when I was I was extremely comfortable. I was also pleasantly surprised at the little on demand coffee machine and International Delight Creamers (my fav!) that were in the lobby in the am, set up by the cozy business center. The computers are out in the open (not enclosed in a sterile room) so it kind of felt like a livingroom. I was able to hop on a computer in the am and print something off I needed on my way out. They also have a 24-hour "marketplace" by the door for any forgotten or emergency items. All in all, I thought it was a great value, had everything I needed, and very comfortable. It's no W Hotel, but met and even exceeded my expectations thus gets all 5 stars. Tip: If you stay here, make sure to order from Oriental Lite Express - they deliver good food in like 5 minutes flat. read more

I spent last Friday and Saturday night staying at this Courtyard Marriott in Addison, Texas. My boyfriend and a friend had travelled up from Central Texas for a friend's wedding weekend. And for all basic needs, the hotel was good. It was close to where we needed to be and there was a 24 hour convience "shop" next to the front desk, perfect for grabbing some Gatoraid and Advil as needed. Additionally, the front desk staff was wonderful during our stay. The layout of the hotel is nice, with the swimming pool in an outdoor courtyard in the center. The pool hours run late, however, and I would be cautious about getting a room facing the courtyard if I needed to go to sleep early for business or was travelling with a child. I wanted to give the hotel a higher rating but can't get over two things. First, the hot tub was luke warm for most of our stay. The first night we arrived, it was fine according to part of our party. But by the time we needed to unwind Saturday morning, it was uncomfortably cool and my friends and I had to play rock, paper, scissors to see who would go through the further discomfort of getting out and run to the front desk. When we did go to get help, the helpful front desk sent maintainence to check it out swiftly. However, that didn't fix it. Over an hour later, it was still luke warm. Additionally, I was miffed by housekeeping waking us during our last morning there. While trying to sleep off the ceremony before, a knock came at our door. Apparently someone had brushed our "Do Not Disturb" sign off of our door. However, it was still laying clearly in front of our door. As the housekeeper explained that the tag wasn't ON the door, I wiped the sleep from my eyes and explained that we were still sleeping and put the tag back on my door. On one hand, I understand her stance. But I also can't help but feel annoyed. It's neither my nor her fault that the tag wasn't on the door, but I feel common sense should have dictated where it was meant to be that early in the morning. My partner and I don't get out of town much because of our schedules. In a sense, this was our first weekend away in over six months. And after a very stressful month, I was looking forward to a relaxing and fun weekend away with him, even if it was with other friends for a wedding. I was really disappointed that the hot tub was broken; I had been talking about it for months. read more

I think the reason that this hotel has such decent reviews is because it is very cheap, so when compared to other budget hotels, I guess its not that bad. However, if you are a business traveler who frequents Courtyards, this is NOT GOOD. There is no elevator, which is a drag when you have luggage plus a laptob bag. Also, this is the old Courtyard layout which has no decent parking near the front entrance. As a woman traveling alone, I will avoid this hotel like the plague for those 2 reasons. I dont need to be taking side entrances, or walking a far distance to check in, and then lugging my stuff up a flight of stairs when I arrive. Further, rooms on the first floor just dont seem safe. There are doors to the outside and its just shady. Also, the picture on the website is not accurate to what the lobby looks like. It is still the old style lobby, not the refreshed lobby with the bistro. The good news, the rooms are updated, the thermostat is on the wall and not a dial on the wall unit, and there are fridges and microwaves in the rooms. Happy travels, just not here. read more

Place had bugs. Not sure if they were beg bugs but I went to Home Depot before I went home to make sure none got in my house. I got bit by one. I stayed at the Hyatt house up the street the week after. Definitely worth the extra 10$ a night. You make that up easily with the free breakfast buffet they offer. Courtyard breakfast costs over 10$ everyday. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The only people that were personable were the chef and the cashiers at the food court. And my key stopped working the night before my check out. If I could rate this place lower than 1 I would. The hotel sucked! DO NOT STAY HERE! read more

We stayed here for our Thanksgiving vacation from Wednesday, November 24, 2010 until Saturday, November 27, 2010. In all the hotels we have stayed in I found this hotel to be excellent from the moment we checked in until we clocked out. Our room was booked using Expedia and I never had an easier check in at all. In fact, I was at the counter no longer than 5 minutes. The hotel front desk was so nice and pleasant throughout our stay. I must say Christy was helpful the entire time. She answered questions without hesitation and even offered additional assistance where needed. The room was absolutely spotless, beds were comfortable, and all the hotel staff member couldn't be more hospitable. Everyone made this a carefree stay for us and for that we will be using them for now on whenever we return to Dallas, TX. This hotel definitely proves that you do have to be in an expensive hotel to get superior service. read more

Rooms that have a door/balcony facing the parking lot are super unsafe, not to mention you can't open it and leave it open for fresh air because someone will come in! Spent 4 nights here last week, as part of a "Red Sox weekend", since my sister flew down from Boston to see the Red Sox roast at the Ballpark in Arlington. With the price of the rooms here so inexpensive, we got a room each. nice sized rooms with double beds, 1 queen and 1 full. Shower was very good as was the maid service. Room has a 37 in flat panel tv WITH HD channels. So many places forget that just having a flat panel tv does NOT get you HD channels. The room phones were out for 2 of the 4 days, but that didn't matter to me since I never use the room phone. Parking was plentiful. Staff was great! read more

Very courteous staff. If I had to pick the most profound highlight, I'd say it was the staff. For the business traveler that likes to work out, they have one of the largest exercise rooms I've seen in a courtyard, I was definitely impressed. I heard the place was newly remodeled which is great, the building has a rather old design, so don't let that exterior fool you. The rates at this location are a lot more reasonable than many of the other hotels closer to quorum drive. Take advantage of this hidden gem. The one rule I'd like to change if there's is the scheduled cleaning for the long term visitors, if you miss the cleaning day you have to schedule someone to come and clean, I'd rather they look for the do not disturb sign, I don't like to have to keep track, especially if work gets hectic. read more

Stayed 3 days for our son's wedding. The hotel couldn't have been more accommodating providing meeting rooms for the rehearsal dinner (60 guests) and breakfast on Sat/Sun mornings. The rooms were clean and updated. The pool/fire pit area is perfect for relaxing or for large groups to socialize (which we did!) The entire staff was polite and professional. I absolutely love this hotel. Sometimes you can get a really great deal here on hotels.com. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and nice. The front desk service is great as well as the location. I would definitely go back. The breakfast there is like $10 and not really worth it, I would just go to a nearby restaurant or saxby's coffee. The TVs are flat screens, the internet is a cable, and there is a refrigerator in the room. For the ladies there is a makeup remover wipe. Yay! read more

This is a very shady hotel. I will contact the corporate office on monday. I had a friend's and family code and when I got their they asked for a form I said I didn't know I needed one. I asked what the regular rate was she told me 59.00. Well I said that's what the friends and family rate was so I said what's the point of filling out a form if it's the same rate the lady said it's for bookkeeping purpose. I took the regular 59.00 rate when I got my receipt through my door they charged me 69.00. And was rude about it I had two witnesses read more

Clean facility but very noise and poor management. I sent the following note to the hotel manager in response to their request for feedback. The managers subsequent response was a very week apology. I won't be back. --------------clip--------- I used to do a LOT of Marriott stays as I travel a lot. However, of late I've been doing more Starwood. There is an "allergy" reason for that but I have a more immediate feedback for you and this particular hotel. The Courtyard I stayed at was clean and nice and I did not have the allergy reaction that I usually do at Marriott properties which is fantastic. It actually makes me think perhaps I can restart visiting Marriotts. The bad news - It was not a good stay for specific reasons. I'll outline them for you below. I usually do not provide negative feedback but just take my business elsewhere. I am hoping that I can restart Marriott but not if these very bad issues persist. You put me on an outside-facing room, near an exit door first floor. It was VERY loud all day from: - extensive lawn work just outside the room, both days, between 9am and 11:30 am and again from about 2pm to 5pm. - very loud Spanish-speaking housekeeping staff during the day (speaking/yelling to each other loudly) during business hours. It was distracting and kept me from sleeping during the day, along with the lawn workers. - at 8:30AM on checkout day I had housekeeping trying to get in to the room! Jeez, give ma second to get out of bed!!! I did not sleep well because of the above points and especially the one below... WORST OF ALL - I was in room ###, it was very likely (if not obvious) that next door, room ### was being used by a prostitute.
