Leak coming from hole with missing screw.
    Anna D.

I can't believe we survived our stay here. As another Yelper mentioned, I too, felt like I was on an episode of Cops. One of the nights of our stay, there were a handful of police cars across the street. We locked ourselves in our room, hoping no one would try to barge in. Unfortunately, it was difficult to even lock the door because the lock was busted. We spent two nights here and on our last night it rained heavily. This is when we started noticing leaks and visible water damage; including large amounts of water trapped under the paint, causing it to bubble up. The vents oozed a rust-like smelly liquid that dripped all the way to the floor, and there were wet spots all over. Mind you, we were staying on the second floor with another floor above us, so I don't know if someone left the water on upstairs, there was a leak in the pipes, etc, but it definitely happened right after a rainstorm. Also, the carpet has definitely not seen a vacuum in months - it was filthy, sticky, stained and smelly. When we travel with our family, we like to stay in Hyatt Houses for the large space, more than one bathroom, and the much needed privacy. But this has got to be the worst of the worst of all Hyatt Houses we have stayed at. I think the only thing missing were the bedbugs. We had an extra early flight the next morning and let the front desk know. We just wanted to get out of there. It was a nightmare. The pictures say it all!

Oh boy. PROS: - It's hard to find a decently priced multi-bedroom hotel. This was definitely well priced (~$160/night). - Complimentary breakfast was an actual decent breakfast with biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, and packaged goods. - Ample parking. CONS: - We requested a room on the first or second floor because we were with older people and there were no elevators. They initially gave us a 3rd floor. We went back, explained the situation, and they gave us a room on the 2nd floor. We got to the 2nd floor room and it obviously hadn't been cleaned yet. The front desk said we could move to the 3rd floor room or clean the 2nd floor room ourselves. No thanks. - Some people seemed sketch. We were warned at check in to not have loud parties/excessive noise or we would be reported. I guess this is a reoccurring problem here...

That was our top blanket! That they refused to give us another one bc they had none clean.

The only good thing about this place is the location. We had nothing but problems since we got there. Paid for our hotel in advance and when we got there Lakeisha (the manager) was so hateful and told us we didn't have a reservation. She clearly hates her job and needs to find a new one because for the 2 HOURS we waited after a long drive in she treated everybody that came in terrible. She has ZERO professionalism, never saw her smile. Once we went to our room which btw is on the 3rd floor, no elevators. We had BED BUGS in our bed! So they changed us to a new room which was much nicer but as we were checking our new bed for bugs we saw that the blankets were moldy, stained with red juice and blood stains. So we asked the front desk for different blankets and they said they didn't have any to offer. Water pressure was terrible. No USB ports. They offered us 10k Hyatt points which almost a week later still aren't on our account. They said they would give us back the $100 deposit, hasn't happened yet. Also they only take big credit cards as payment now, debit cards aren't allowed. They also charge 7$/day to park at the location... insanity. I will NEVER stay at a Hyatt house again!

We stayed here for our 4-day Dallas weekend. When traveling with kids, having a 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite is CRUCIAL!!! WE LOVED STAYING HERE and have mentioned Hyatt House Addison being our "go to" hotel when coming to Dallas. Likes: -Separate buildings made it feel more like a condo as opposed to a hotel. This resulted in a VERY quiet stay! -pool, basketball court, fitness room among the amenities. -FREE breakfast. -2 bedroom, 2 bath suite -kitchen includes: full-sized fridge, 2-burner cook top, dishwasher, microwave, plates/bowls/cups, utensils, pots/pans. -modern room, nice finishes -clean! -close to restaurants -priced right Dislikes: -Separate buildings meant a walk to get breakfast... in the RAIN -no oven. Brought a frozen pizza but no way to cook it. -I didn't have much interaction with staff but the one particular instance that I recall was when one of the coffee pumps was out and instead of making the lady reach over and get it, I helped her out and handed it to her... and didn't get a "Thank you." May seem small but like- that day I did numerous nice things for others and received ZERO "Thank you"s.... All in all, we loved our stay here and would definitely consider returning here!

At check-in, I mentioned that my elderly father-in-law was staying with us. The concierge immediately said she would change our room to a 1st floor as there are no elevators. I so appreciated this attention to detail. The rooms were very nice, clean, breakfast was great -fresh fruit salad. I highly recommend this location and will definitely stay here again.

Wow! It's been AT LEAST 4 or 5 years since I've been here and came to back to see a lot of changes. A few upgrades have been added and the rooms are spotless just like they were before. Hyatt House Addison is just that, vacationing in a comfy and roomy home like suite. For us, it will be 8 nights so I have gotten settled in and am enjoying myself. The breakfast here is AMAZING! Made to order omelettes and scrambles with ALL sorts of veggies and meats, waffles, fresh cut fruit, real bacon and sausage, Steel cut oatmeal w/brown sugar and all of the other toppings, breads and bagels, 4 different juices, milk, silk and almond milk. The hotel is surrounded by many, many restaurants, movie theaters, and shopping centers as well. Come check out Hyatt House Addison if you're ever in the area. You won't be disappointed.

I'm not sure who they were staying with, because my experience was a solid 5 out of 5. No debate. From the moment I pulled up, I was impressed. The exterior was clean, well-kept, and inviting--already a good sign. Then I walked inside and oh my goodness... the smell. Fresh. Clean. Comforting. The kind of scent that makes your shoulders drop like, okay, I can exhale here. I even said out loud to Mercedes, "It smells really good in here," because when something hits, it hits. The lobby? Clean, polished, welcoming. And y'all already know--if it doesn't pass the cleanliness and smell test, I'm mentally checking out. This place passed with flying colors. They're currently doing renovations on the first floor, so guests were placed on the second floor and up. I stayed on the second floor, and it was quiet, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. No chaos, no weird smells, no mystery noises. Peace. This will absolutely be a go-to hotel for me. Honestly, I could see myself booking a weekend here just to chill and explore. There are so many little shops in the area, which is dangerous for someone with... let's call them aspirational spending habits. But worth it. Now let's talk breakfast. The continental breakfast was giving continental breakfast--nothing fancy, nothing offensive. It was good. Would I have loved the food to be kept a little hotter? Sure. But let's be real--it's included. "Free." (Yes, we know we paid for it in the stay, but still.) Bottom line: * Clean? * Smells amazing? * Comfortable and welcoming? * Great location? If you're staying in Addison, do yourself a favor and check them out. This one feels like home--in the best way.

The manager even found a way to get the pool open for us to use, before we left! That level of service makes a huge difference when you're away from home for nearly two weeks. The room was very spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had outstanding water pressure (which deserves extra points after long workdays ). Breakfast was delicious every single morning with a limited variety but excellent quality -- definitely something I looked forward to daily. Comfortable, clean, welcoming, and consistently well run. I would absolutely recommend Marriott Addison to anyone traveling for business or leisure, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Complimentary Starbucks coffee is my fav part of staying here and they offer a dark roast so they get bonus points for this. Plus the breakfast items from the bistro are surprisingly tasty. However the bistro is also often unattended and when it is attended they are distractingly chatty behind the counter to the point that I found it difficult to enjoy my coffee and food from the dining area. Room rates greatly vary, so check the price before booking because there are other options in the area.

The door was kinda jacked up so the hotel was showing its age for sure. Maybe that's why it's called the Renaissance. I also had packages delivered to me and every time I checked with the hotel staff, they said they were with the "show" staff. They didn't even check, they just said "the stuff will be delivered at XXXX time". Well, the event was starting and I still didn't have my stuff so finally I found a guy that would listen and he tracked it down. But do disappointed for the rest of the hotel staff to not even try to help. It was within walking distance of a plaza that had some places to eat, but being on a Frontage road (gotta love Texas), some things that seem close are so far. But definitely try to go to Kenny's Woodfire Grill if you stay here. I wouldn't choose to stay here again if I was in the area, but the convenience of being in the same hotel as a conference trumps the other issues.
