Was able to check in early I think around 2p. Quick easy check in. Paid self parking right out front. Lots of EV charger port parking outside as well. We stayed in the one bed room with pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was small, but my two kids were able to fit. There's a mini fridge. I had previously read noise was an issue and I agree. I could hear the footsteps above us. I would get top floor if you can. Bathroom has the shampoo, conditioner body wash dispensers. Was good enough for us. There's also a little mini store in the lobby as well as restaurant but we didn't eat there. Lots of places to eat in the same plaza. Starbucks and McDonald's a short drive away too. There are entrances on each side of the building as well. Don't have to enter thru main lobby but you'll need your key card or course. They probably offer bell service but my friend found a bell cart and they were able to push belongings upstairs themselves if you want to save on tip lol I put in request to be near elevator and our friends and thankfully they were able to honor it.

Area seems safe. You will be given a parking permit to place in your car upon checkin. Don't come in with your hands full only to go right back outside. Courtyard is always a rub for me. Most Marriott brands offer complimentary breakfast. It bothers me that they don't here and the cafe prices are not a great value for what you receive. Complimentary coffee in the lobby would go a long way. The room was clean, I did find a dirty, torn rag I think must have fallen out of the maintenance cart on my floor upon arrival, otherwise everything was great in the room. Mini fridge kept the wine cold and the AC worked perfectly. Location and proximity to parking was also excellent. Room is a bit dated, some older furnishings and side table that looked worn but everything was in working order. Mobile keys worked great here but once used, my regular room key stopped working. Door had a decent gap which I was able to partly remedy by placing a towel along the floor. Overall the experience was food, I just wish it were a bit closer to the major freeways. It's off the beaten path in a business/industrial area but was packed as the lobby was full of business travelers during the happiest hours of the day.

AVOID. This place is terrible. $299 a night. The surprising $15 parking fee was waived. I'm suspicious that they do this every time. Not sure for what they're charging; I never saw a security officer and the spots are TINY. The entry door to the room doesn't block sound. You can hear the footfalls of people walking on the carpet with the "crunchy" padding that is in the room, as well; doors with the clunky hotel locks and handles opening and closing, and hallway conversations make it seem like the entry door isn't even there. I could hear my neighbors conversation while in the bathroom, making me rather self conscious of any sound I might make. It was clear a male and female were having a conversation. Although I am the only person renting the room, I was put in a room with an adjoining door (why would hospitality do that!?). They either rented the room or the residents came back. Seemed like there was a lady sitting by the adjoining door talking. Aspects of the room are rundown or broken. The upscale lobby is nice and makes you feel like you're in a hotel that charges $299/night, but you enter the room and it's about the same as a Motel 6 or Travel Lodge. I feel scammed. I worked a 7-hour day doing hard, manual labor. Thought I'd stay in the area rather than commute home, only to be back the next day. I should have no problem falling asleep, but it's loud here and I'm am so tired. It is a Friday, but still... Bed is very soft. Nice for those that sleep on their back, but, being a side and stomach sleeper, I felt like I was being folded. The stupidity of putting me next to an occupied room with an adjoining door has made me forget whatever pleasantries the front desk staff might have exuded. Neighbors just informed me of the Michigan women's basketball score through the door- it's tied at 80. Never mind just went to OT. Calling the front desk to move.

The staff at this hotel has been the best thing about the Courtyard by Marriott foothill Ranch. It's a nice property. The rooms are nice the gym is amazing you'll see that my pictures the gym is fabulous for hotel gym. I had a number of issues on this day. The phone message light wouldn't shut off, so I finally had to disconnect the phone. My door lock was not working properly that caused a little bit a challenge. There was some teeny tiny refrigerator in my room, and I always travel with my food so that was a bit of a challenge, but the staff make sure that everything was great and typically the staff here is pretty amazing and all the challenges of the reason I'm giving it four stars instead of my five which I would normally give it, but it's a great local place if you're doing business or visiting in the area.

Needed a hotel for the night and chose this one based on brand and rewards. The hotel has plenty of parking and is close to highways. Tried getting checked in and a digital key online but for some reason the app wasn't updating. Staff was friendly and helpful and we got our key quickly. The hotel is clean and either new or newly renovated. Our room was clean and everything was in good shape. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained. Really the only thing was the mini fridge was sitting on the floor and not in the dresser compartment so you could hear it going on and off. If you don't want to pay for breakfast since there is no free breakfast provided there is a Starbucks and bagel shop on the other side of the parking lot. Overall good stay and would use again

Upon check in, we were greeted and welcomed as IHG Rewards members. There was also someone who was asking to be switched rooms because apparently they were having issues with their toilet. Nonetheless staff maintained professional. When we got to our room it was clean and a good size. We also ate breakfast which had a nice variety and a lot of seating in the lobby. The hotel also doesn't charge for parking which is nice and is located close to a various eateries and shops. A few things to improve is definitely the bed. Usually hotel beds are not an issue for me but the bed was not comfy at all or the couch bed. In addition I didn't experience the same toilet issue as mentioned by a previous guest but I could tell the toilet needed some service in our room. In short the water pressure seemed low which caused us to have to flush 2-3 times. Maybe it's an issue overall at this property I don't know. We would stay here again if in the area. The price was also good for being a Staybridge suites.

The refrigerator and freezer did not get cold enough to keep perishables cold enough to safely keep food cold. my husband and I suffered many stomach upset over food that may likely have been rotten or not safely edible and frequently disposed of food that quickly became visibly rotten. I encountered bed bugs on my bed. I encountered large cockroaches that were crawling near and on my food supply that I purchased the night before. In early March 2025 I discovered that the room I was in was next to the trash room that was infrequently cleaned for sticky sugary substances attracted cockroaches and ants. The staff allowed the trash room to be overfilled with trash and allowed sticky fluids to leak out of the trash bags and trash cans onto the floor and adjacent carpet. In late March 2026 I encountered a severe flea infestation and incessant dog barking from 3 of my adjacent neighbors. The elevator was also subject to at least 3 fresh water pipe leakage into the elevator that caused it to become inoperable. From mid-February to November 2025 the bathtub drain back flowed a third to half full with nearly black colored water with small granules. From mid-February to June 2026 the bathroom sink, the kitchen sink, the toilet drains back flowed a half to completely full with nearly black colored water with small granules. From mid-February to June 2026 the bathroom sink frequently overflowed onto the floor about 40+ times and caused a urine and fecal matter odor. The sewer water overflow got into my food supplies that were on the floor and the sewer water flowed out onto the hallway. The stagnant sewer water from the bathroom sink, the kitchen sink, the toilet drains caused a urine and fecal matter stench. I frequently was warned about the sewer backflow when there was a gurgling noise that preceded the sewer water backflow. In August 2025 I discovered that when the tenant's washing machines and the house washing machines were both operating it would backflow white sudsy backflow sewer water. When there were too many tenants showering and taking a bath at 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 P.M. the black colored sewer water backflow often occurred because the sewer water flow exceeded the pipe flow rate. On 6-2-2026, the upstairs bathroom overflowed a lot of water and caused the ceiling to droop and sewer water to leak about 10 to 20 gallons of sewer water from the ceiling onto the center floor of my toilet area and onto the main hallway area outside my room entry door. On 6-18-2026, and 6-20-2026, when I told the upper managers about my intent to complain to the Health Department about the chronic sewer leak problem that had been going on since February 2025 and my demand to refund the money that I paid for that week for their failure to remedy the sewer leak from the bathroom ceiling on to the floor and the main hallway and replacing my personal towels and toiletries they balked and they retaliated against me by towing my camper truck, falsely represented to me that I did not have a parking pass displayed in my truck, that I had too many cars and too much clutter in my cars. After 16 months of parking my camper truck at the ESA Lake Forest location why would management suddenly raise an issue about my camper truck and order me to pay 7 days at a time and not a few days at a time and tell me that I cannot park my camper truck in the ESA parking lot when there are other tenants with even larger campers and very large commercial trucks parked on the parking lot and exempt from the parking restrictions I am subject to by the upper in-house ESA management. I am progressively being retaliated against by the newest in-house management. I now want to reverse charge 16 months of rent I paid to ESA in Lake Forest, CA that was paid on my credit card I recently befriended two of the long-term maids and prior upper in-house manager who each notified me of the chronic sewer and drain problems they observed that was never remedied since they were employed at ESA in Lake Forest, CA. Each of the in-house managers set unrealistic objectives and lay full blame for tenant complaints. I have over 200 photos and videos of the flood damage of the chronic sewer water backflow problem and refrigerator defect. Today the newest ESA Lake Forest upper management has escalated their attack on my husband, other tenants and me by the above referenced tactics to promote constructive eviction.

The location is great and it's really close to Irvine Spectrum, but unfortunately, the hotel itself just isn't worth what we paid. We spent around $1,100 for 3 days, and I expected a lot more. The thing that REALLY set me off was the restaurant experience. I ordered a cheeseburger using the QR code in the room. The restaurant called and asked if I wanted it delivered. I said no, thank you because I didn't want to pay the extra $3 delivery fee plus the $3.24 service charge, before even considering a tip. So I WALKED DOWN and picked up my own food. When I got there, the guy printed my receipt and said, "Please sign this and add a tip." I put $0 because, again, I literally scanned a QR code, ordered my own food, walked downstairs and picked it up myself. As he looked at the receipt, he said "Thanks, buddy" in a very obviously sarcastic way because I didn't tip. Seriously?! I'm sorry, but I'm not tipping someone for an order I placed myself and physically went downstairs to pick up. Then there's housekeeping. The paper in the room says housekeeping is every day and even tells you to leave your towels on the floor if you want them replaced. So we did exactly that... And they never came. So what's the point of putting that information in the room if you're not actually going to provide the service? Pros * Very close to Irvine Spectrum * Good location * AC works great * Breakfast was good Cons * Cell service is REALLY bad, and the Wi-Fi isn't much better * Beds are hard and uncomfortable * Showers were barely warm -- definitely not hot * Housekeeping says daily on the flyer... nope * Supposedly fresh towels every day... nope * Room service/housekeeping wasn't great * Dirty/used glasses weren't replaced * Expensive for what you actually get Overall, $1,100 for 3 days is way too much for this experience. The location is convenient, but that's about where the positives end for me. I would not book this hotel again.
