I typically stay at Hiltons while traveling, they give you a comfortable stay, nice amenities and at a reasonable price. This location has some areas to improve, but I did enjoy my stay, the room was nice, although could use some updates, bathroom was updated, but other parts were not. I enjoyed the gym, they had cardio equipment, dumbbells up to 75 pounds, a multi-function weight machine, kettle bells, etc. The breakfast was good, a bit smaller than other Hampton, but they did a good job. A couple do betters, when I arrived, rooms were not ready and were still being cleaned, it was 3:40 PM, also, apparently Management did not order any water, so I did not get waters when I arrived and they did not have any for the two days I was there. Other than that, a nice stay. I would stay here again and give them a chance to improve on a couple things. If they do, I think people would give higher reviews overall. This location also has free parking, a pool and complimentary breakfast, so they give you a good value for your stay. I did not get a shot of the front entrance though, apologies. Enjoy! read more

No Housekeeping at a Hilton Hotel? They said it's their hotel policy to clean every 3 days. I've been a Hilton Honors Member for 10 years and they don't care. I've been trying to reach Hampton Inn since mid-October through both Expedia's chat feature and the hotel's direct email regarding a cancellation and refund request due to a death in the family. Unfortunately, I have not received any response. As it stands, I'm still obligated to keep this reservation, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property. Two other local hotels I booked for the same week responded quickly and showed genuine compassion, offering solutions without hesitation. In contrast, Hampton Inn has been completely unresponsive and unwilling to work with me to find a mutually beneficial resolution. I completely understand that policies are in place, but under these circumstances, I believe a compassionate exception is reasonable and would be greatly appreciated. This is a pretty convenient place if you have family in Ladera Ranch and drive a Tesla. There's a very well priced (.21-kw) Tesla charging station nearby, the Mission Viejo Malls close by and is just off Highway 5 when it's time to return North to the Bay Area. Lots of shopping nearby too. The room we had was pretty spacious and the staff quite courteous. The cleaning staff as well as the kitchen staff work fast and keep the place in order. The breakfast buffet is typical Hampton Inn style with waffle makers, fresh coffee, oatmeal, one egg dish, cereal, fruit drink options (orange, apple and cranberry juices) and toast or muffins. There is also a nice gym that I was not able to try. I also love the fact you can check in using your phone app and have a phone app key that allows entrance to both your room, hotel, pool area, business center and gym. The front entrance staff were all very professional and sincere over the 6 nights I stayed here. The surrounding area seems fairly quiet and safe too. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at We've stayed at a million Hampton inns and this one was by far the worst!! 1st rooms were old and dirty, hair was in the sink when we first got there. Shower was clean though. Beds very uncomfortable and the pillows so bad!! It would be nice to have an extra blanket in the closet since air conditioning turned on all night even being set to 72 Windows were so old and dirty it was hard to look out of them. When my husband made reservations at the time he asked manager not to be put by the elevator. When we checked in they assigned us a room right by the elevator and the air conditioner was squealing, so we went down to the front desk to change rooms. They gave us a new room they said was not by the elevator it was. I guess they didn't have a room inside the elevator!! The hot tub was empty and looked like it had been out of service for quite awhile. My BIGGEST PROBLEM was my husband had a very nice pair of headphones ( earbuds) they Fell out of his pocket sitting on the couch in the front lobby, while having breakfast he walked back from the dinning area a few minutes later and they were gone. There was only 1 person there, the front desk guy. When my husband started moving cushions and pillows around looking for his headphones the front desk guy stared at him and said nothing!! Not a "can I help you did you loose something" Nothing just stared. When my husband confronted him and asked him if he found them he said no and pulled out his own headphones from his pocket and said " are they like these?" WIERD although the couch was in eyesight of him the whole time they were stolen. Every morning my husband checked to see if someone turned in a pair of headphones he said no and nothing else. Rude! Every time we walked in and out of the hotel no one greeted us or said goodbye esp when you have to walk by a hotel employee every time. Workout room was nice. Will not stay here ever again!!! Hair dryer- didn't even bother using the hair dryer because the air intake filter on the back side of the hair dryer was completely obstructed by years of lint/dust buildup. Front desk apologized and replaced it with a new one. Bathroom walls- had a lot of random stains and toward the baseboard there was some swelling due to obvious water damage. Shower doors- One of the two shower glass doors was missing one of the two wheels that hold it up and allows for movement on the track, because one was missing, half the glass door was actually touching the bottom of the shower and was impossible and dangerous to try to move. Called the front desk and they sent Maintenance up to fix it which they did promptly but that seems like a significant issue that should have been discovered by housekeeping and or whoever inspects the rooms after they have been cleaned before for the next guest arrives. Lighting- Very poor room lighting overall with aged yellowed and stained lampshades that are not secured to the neck of the lamp properly. The pull out swivel lamps on both sides of the bed were very loose felt like it would fall off if moved any further. There was a double outlet behind the first entrance table that did not have an outlet cover plate. Blue Sofa chair- in the corner of the room was really dirty I almost wanted to flip the cushion but feared the other side would be worse. There's a sticker on the bathroom mirror that states housekeeping will clean the room every other day of your stay. It was Day 3 and no one had come by to clean. I ended up having to take the trash out myself because there were overflowing and had to call the front desk for more towels and shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion bottles as those were all near empty when we arrived. read more

We went on a weekend trip to California from Arizona for my granddaughter's birthday and stayed at this location, as we have in the past. However, we found that the attention to detail wasn't the same. The next morning my husband opened his bath towel and found various spots on it so decided to use another one. When I opened my bath towel, there were stains on it as well. Therefore, he called the front desk to request another set and was told that someone would be up soon. We left for the day and after returning we noticed there were no extra sets of towels delivered to our room. We addressed it again at the front counter and the representative apologized and gave us another set of towels. We shouldn't have had to wait for 24 hrs to request at the desk for replacements. Hilton honor members. Ok, so if it could go wrong here, it did. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry during our stay here. And I needed some time before I wrote this review....... My husband, son and daughter stayed in this hotel from February 25th to March first because we were moving. To start, we checked in at around 1130/12 in the afternoon. The first issue was the door... it was very difficult to open. I had to kick it most of the time. Which I could have dealt with. Upon entering, there were stains on the carpet and stains on the chair. Then we noticed that whoever was in there before us had taken off the smoke detector. My husband is an ex firefighter so he knows how important it is to have one, it's the first thing he looks for. He called down to the front desk and asked to have someone replace it. About an hour or so later we hadn't heard anything about the smoke detector. My husband went downstairs and spoke to the on site manager, her name was Ariel. She explained to him that the maintenance man had gone next door to their sister hotel to pick up a smoke detector and he would be returning shortly. Maintenance showed up without a smoke detector, but took a look saying "oh, it's completely gone". He told my husband he would go get one and be right back. He asked the maintenance guy to come back in about 15 minutes because I had just got in the shower. 30 minutes later he was not back and we went out to grab food with our small children. After coming back we asked if the maintenance guy could come back but we were told he was on break. The guy on the phone told us that he had come back several times. We were gone less than 2 hours. He told us that he would have him come back after he returned. My husband got a phone call on his cell phone from the front desk saying that maintenance had left for the day. He called the cell Phone because our hotel phone wasn't working. Apparently it took so much time for them to get a hold of us that our issue wasn't resolved. Their solution was to switch us room s. We declined, as all 4 of us had already unpacked our things for our long stay at this hotel. And asked if he can just come by the next day. The following day my husband went to work and on his way out asked Ariel what happened with the smoke detector. She gave the same excuse stating he came by several times, but it wasn't within the time frame he gave us. She also said that they called her at home. But obviously nothing was done. I saw maintenance in the hallway later that afternoon and I asked him to come by replace it. He said he would, and that he was working in that hallway that day. I told him I was about to get ready for the day and that I was leaving in the next hour. He said he would come by. He did not. Maybe he thought I was going to find him? I ended up not leaving, and he still did not come by. After my husband got off of work hours later, he also ran into him and we got the smoke detector put in about 30 hours after we complained. Though the likelihood of something happening was slim, something still could have happened, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to not have one in every room...... I got locked out of the room with my children because of the constant kicking of the door to try to open it. The latch came out and blocked us from entering our room. It took a couple of men to figure out how to open it. But when I went to the front desk it seemed like this had happened before. The woman told me that (I don't know his name and I don't think he was maintenance) an employee knew what to do. Our fridge also didn't work. I had put strawberries in it for our daughter and the next day they had mold on them. If you've ever washed strawberries and left them on the counter while still wet, it happens easily. Obviously it was not cold. The coffee machine was on the left of the tv. I went to use it the next morning after we checked in and didn't understand why it wasn't working. I looked in the back to see if I could see where it was plugged in and it wasn't even plugged in. There were no available plugs anywhere except for the one nearest the bathroom on the floor. I only wanted hot water for my tea, and when I had filled it with water to make it hot, it had lots of nice little floaties in it. Not coffee grounds either. They were too light. We keep getting emails stating that it looks like this hotel has reached out to us and resolved the issue. But no one at all has reached out. As Hilton honor members, we are extremely frustrated with how things have been handled lately. Not just at this hotel, but many of the Hilton hotels, especially Hampton inn. I have attached the email correspondence with Hilton. We have been sent the exact same email. This is how much pride they have in the company. **Not Closed! I Know Because I'm Staying Here!** Thank you Yelp HQ for getting this listing corrected. For some reason, it had been listed as closed. This is a fairly new hotel in a light business park, close to shopping and restaurants. You can even walk to some of the restaurants. There is a similar hotel, owned by the same company, right next door. But that other hotel doesn't get free breakfast like this one. I would describe the decor here as spartan or minimalist. On the other hand, everything is very clean. The rooms have minimal decorations, and instead of chest of drawers they have pull out baskets. I thought that worked well. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. It has the usual eggs, sausage, yogurt, and pastries. And of course, the famous waffle maker. One nice touch was the fresh pressed juice. They also have a sign that indicates yogurt smoothies, but there were no smoothies to be found. (On the following morning however, there were 10 smoothies set out for customers.) We stayed three nights at this hotel. We normally stay at one of the Ayres hotels, a few miles away. This visit, that hotel was booked. Between the two hotels, we definitely prefer Ayres, but this was a decent choice. Special shout out to the friendly staff, especially Tina. Management should give her a big raise! The fitness center worked well. About four machines, plus weights. They supposedly provide disposable earbuds, but none were to be found. I have edited the listing to say not closed. Our room was broken into during our stay at this hotel (on 10/23/2025) in the early hours of the morning while I was in the room sleeping. A man watched my husband leave our room to head down for breakfast and entered our room using a master keycard. He did not work there to my knowledge and should not have had access to a staff all access keycard. The security here is non existent. This intruder was able to walk up and down the halls freely waiting for people to leave their hotel room. At least one other room was also robbed. Fortunately, I walked away unharmed but it was a very traumatic experience and has had me looking over my shoulder and on edge ever since this happened a couple of days ago. We had to wait hours for the general manager to show up who didn't seem to have any actual empathy at all with this very serious situation. Do better. This is not okay, and please for the safety of your guests, increase your security. At the very minimum MONITOR THE CAMERAS. I saw a suspicious man (not in hotel uniform) walking up and down the halls the day I checked in earlier in the week and should have taken that as a sign this place was not safe. read more

We had stayed at this particular hotel once before. So we came back a second time. The room we got was not very clean. There was hair on the counter top in the bathroom and the bathroom vent was dirty with dust. The worst part was they were out of toilet paper AND kleenex!! We had half a roll of toilet paper and that was it. I called the front desk and all they said was "sorry ". Are you kidding?? A hotel that size runs out of toilet paper and Kleenex? They made no effort to go out and make sure that they got some for hotel guests. So we had to go out and buy our own. This hotel really is under managed.... Because that should never happen. I really wanted to like this hotel because the price and location are both very good. And the people working here are nice and try to be helpful. But the hotel doesn't have functioning WiFi. You can log in sometimes but it will boot you out. Then it will try to log you in again but fail. I've called the front desk several times for troubleshooting advice but it just doesn't work. I've never had this problem anywhere else. Otherwise, the hotel looks like it's been renovated recently but the mattress is old and worn and the pillows are ridiculous, probably 20 years old. BUCKLE UP! Spacious room, nice decor. Nothing to let me know the people behind the desk were employed by Hilton, no uniform and only 1 day did a person have a name tag. So we four family were invited for wedding and I was looking for a nice hotel which we finally decide to get Hampton, We drove all the way down from Bay area take us about 10 hours to drive and finally around 10 o'clock night we get there , On the counter a gentleman name Dion was working and he gave us a bad news that because of construction we cannot get all the rooms they reserved and in that point we were not happy at all so after almost 1 hour finally we get our four room but we went through a lot of stuff couple of those rooms were not completed the sink was clogged , But anyway de Dion The next morning take care of it and we had a nice 4 staying , although they are still construction going on but the way the three gentlemen Dion Anthony and Noah did a great job and we don't feel uncomfortable I strongly suggest this hotel we appreciate it from the staff thank you very much . read more

I spent over $1000 for 2 rooms. The rooms needed to connect to each other because we had small children. The second we walked in the room we were hit with the most putrid, disgusting smell of cat urine! It was so strong our clothing smelled like cat urine. We couldn't sleep, we checked in later in the day so we couldn't report it until the next morning. They tried cleaning the carpets but it did not help with the smell. Those rooms were to only connected rooms available so we had no choice but to deal with it. I have no idea how housekeeping did not smell it or just did not care to report or clean it. When I say it was strong I mean it. I am not exaggerating at all. It was so unsanitary, we got extra bed sheets and laid them out on the floor so we did not step on the carpet. We felt nauseous and felt like throwing up the entire stay. I've stayed there multiple times before without incident. I will never stay there again. read more

Quiet location of LA area with lots of restaurant choices nearby. However, hotel needs maintenance. Room smelled, so they just sprayed perfume to mask the smell, drapes were ripped, towel rack was broken, drain in shower was left off to the side of the shower? Food, half empty water bottles and trash was left on counters from previous guests. Towels were like sandpaper. Could actual hear the person in the next rooms phone vibrate. Asked if there was another room available, was told no. Was told to speak to a manager on the second day, when we did, front desk acted like there was no manager...? This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in! I know times are tough and everywhere is understaffed so be more understanding and kind and have some patience. Despite that, this was the first hotel I have stayed in since six years ago. I know it may not be so luxurious place but it was the vacation I needed and I loved this place. It includes an all you can breakfast buffet. That is my dream come true!!! Literally the food was great and so many choices! It was all fresh and just so delicious. Shoddy. If I could pick one word to describe this hotel it would be this. A family member stayed here for three weeks on a corporate account. The carpet is gross with stains, there was a large unfinished drywall patch on the wall and the fixtures in the bathroom are rusty and corroded. There was also no toilet paper holder and no bathmat. He has already spoken with his human resources department and told them to find a different place for employees to stay for future trainings. I am honestly absolutely shocked that a Hilton property would look at this bad. To add insult to injury on the last day of his stay he asked for a late check out (Hilton Honors members get this perk) and housekeeping was banging on the door twice trying to get him to leave. read more

Stayed here June 23-26th,the staff was friendly and helpful,however the hotel itself is all but falling apart and definitely didn't meet expectations.The water didn't really get hot and the water pressure wasn't very good,our friends stayed on the third flood and said it was fine up there so maybe it was because we were on the first floor.we had a room with 2 queen beds and one was broken,my traveling companion slept on the left of the bed since the right was questionable.There was food or something on the wall above the bed,the wall under the sink was falling apart,the shelves in the bathroom were ready to fall off,I tried to put my towel on a hook and the hook just fell out before my towel was completely on it and the walls are very thin you can hear the person in the room next to you sneeze . read more

For a Hilton hotel chain, it was a huge disappointment. My wife and I get to the room, it smells like stale cigarettes, it's 55 degrees with the AC running wide open, some kind air purification unit is running. There is only 1 face towel, 1 hand towel, and 4 packages of decaf. I don't think it was really vacuumed well. The room was marked up, rust stain running down from the handle in the tub. The shower was delaminating from the back wall. My 5 year grandson could do a better job on the caulking. I would not stay here again. read more

We thought this would be a great place to stay the night while in the area for family business. We were HIGHLY disappointed! The hotel is old and outdated. Only one luggage cart was available, but we never had the chance to use to as it was being used by others. There were many stains on the carpet and chair (yuck!) in our room. The walls in the room and bathroom had MANY patch and repair spots. The wall lamp by the bed was hanging on (crooked) by one screw. There was no body wash or Kleenex. I did not want to sleep in that bed - everything looked so worn out and dated. The breakfast food was disgusting. The eggs and potatoes were stone cold and disgusting. Waffles had no flavor whatsoever. They could take a tip from Staybridge Hotels - they offer delicious breakfast options! I could not wait to leave this hotel. The only positive is the staff was exceptionally friendly. It seems the Hampton brand is on the downhill slide as the last several we've stayed at have sadly been like this one. read more

The hotel is not as new as other Hampton inns I've stayed at, but the customer service at the front desk was superb. Five stars for the exceptional service I received here. Sandy, Rick and an Asian American gentleman (didn't get his name) not only made super easy to honor the Hilton promise, but they made me feel appreciated as a customer. They were very accommodating--truly a breath of fresh air. I got lucky because from other reviews, some other front desk representatives here are not as nice and friendly. All front desk employees should get lessons from them I feel. I travel for work so I'm a member of many hotel chains including IHG and Marriott. This was our home for 4 days 3 nights. Parking was not a problem as we were able to find parking any time of the day or night. This is within walking distance from a lot of restaurants so my boyfriend and I just walked to Red Robin for dinner one night. We only had an interaction with one lady from housekeeping. We were in need of more towels so we gave her the old ones and she gave us new set. She also made sure we had stock of soap, shampoo, lotions, etc. Now that is excellent customer service!!! We only enjoyed breakfast on Sunday morning and to my surprise, it wasn't busy even if we got there at 845am. I love Hampton Inn for their wafflemaker. They had a good selection of breakfast here. The staff always made sure that there was enough supply. My only complain here are the room walls seems thin. People seem to also not care about closing the doors. On our first night, I was awaken by the sound of people banging the doors upon entering or exiting their rooms. My boyfriend on the 2nd night was bothered by the guy next door who kept coughing. He had a hard time sleeping so he turned on background rain music. The room was spacious. The price was reasonable. We will be back here again in the future. read more

Manger and staff are completely incompetent. Staff just lies about everything. Called ahead for early check in, they told me room would be ready at 2pm. When I arrived room wasn't ready until 3:30pm. Policy on pets is a gamble, every time I asked about policies each staff member would give me a different answer. However, on the morning of 4th day, we found a leak in the ceiling that ruined our luggage and clothing. We had called the front desk to please come look at the room and where the leak was. At first, the front desk didn't even want to come to the room and would send maintenance in to check. After a second phone call, the front desk finally showed up at our door with the maintenance/engineering staff. We showed them damages to the ceiling, our luggage and clothing, and they offered to arrange to move us to another room for the duration of our stay. The new room was smaller and not to the same level/size that we had arranged for our reservation. They never offered any type of compensation to reimburse for the damages to our belongings nor the downgraded room. We have reached out to the Dual Assistant General Manager, Michael Flowers, multiple times since our stay over the last 2 weeks. His only response was, "We are sorry for your disappointing experience." Further emails from me, as well as from Hilton Corporate Customer Service, reaching out to him have resulted in no response. I have never in my forty years asked to be moved from a hotel room until I stayed at this dump. I have pretty low standards I'm actually usually a motel 6 kinda gal if that tells you anything. I thought Hampton would be an upgrade actually. I stayed in room 110 and it is the worst room I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in hostels in third world countries) There was no garbage can, no toilet paper roll holder, it looked like a child made the bed, the ac unit panel is broken along w the thermostat on the wall so I couldn't use it, the tv does not work, some sort of white liquid stains on the chair (use your imagination), spatters of food, blood, or feces on the wall in the bathroom and on the curtains, no stopper in the bathtub to use it, no washcloths, And peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling (I'm sure from a leak). Oh also the non functioning ac unit is propped up with a board covered in carpet which I'm pretty sure is illegal. The kid who checked me in was brand new and had no idea what he was doing. We've all been new so it's not his fault but but why would you put the new guy all alone on graveyard shift? Bad management. He didn't know if they had a pool did not know where breakfast was. Again not his fault but managements fault he should not be alone on shift yet clearly. This hotel obviously doesn't care or they would not be renting rooms out in this condition. I don't have super high standards but this room was ridiculous. Front desk guy the next day moved me to a new room in their sister hotel next door and was very nice. Whatever you do don't stay at this hotel. Apparently this was an UPDATED room too! They are undergoing construction. A.) if this is their updated room I would hate to see their other rooms. B.) just because you are undergoing construction is no excuse to put someone in an absolutely filthy room. If you can't handle renting out normal rooms while under construction then shut down your hotel until you can. Gross! read more

I loved the location! This hotel is next to a large business center which means it's very quiet on nights and weekends when everyone is off work. It's in a very upscale and nice part of town. The hotel has a large pool and free fresh fruit and coffee all day in addition to the complimentary breakfast. I'll be back for sure. Also! It only took me about 15 minutes to drive to Laguna beach on a Saturday morning. read more
