You get what you pay for. I wanted to stay at the hotel by the Galleria, but it was fully booked. Courtyard is very close and attractively priced. If I had a do over, I would have stayed at a better hotel further away. It's an old hotel. The rooms are tired. To say that the bathrooms are dated would be an understatement. Still, for the price, it's not bad. The free wifi is slow. The TVs are a good size and allow you to log into Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc. There's a decent size fridge but no microwave in room (there is a microwave in the snack shop by the front desk). The beds are comfy with plenty of pillows I dock the property two stars because the ownership hasn't invested in the property. The lobby, bistro, and lounge areas are modern and clean. That's where the facade ends. The carpet is dirty and worn throughout the property. At one point, I found a gap between two pieces of carpet. You can see the old carpet underneath. They didn't bother to remove it. I would not put my bare feet on the carpet in the room or anywhere in the hotel. Just don't do it. Take slippers or camp shoes or something. The fitness room is unusable. It features the same worn carpet as the rest of the property. But it's actually worse. The AC is broken (photos attached). The staff have left a bottom window open which makes the room musty. If you want to work out in a steam room with soggy carpet, this is your place. There's more. There's a coin op washer/dryer ($1.50 per load in quarters). Unfortunately someone broke the washer whilst stealing all the quarters. There was no ETA for repairs. Management did not have any flyers or maps for laundromats in the area (because that would be way too easy). Considering the guest laundry is an advertised amenity, would have been nice if management offered complimentary detergent and dryer sheets for the inconvenience. Then there's the computer lounge in the lobby. There are three or four very nice computers . . . . that don't work. The screens say the machines are out of order, contact the IT vendor for service. There are doors around the perimeter of the building allowing guests to park closer to their rooms. The front desk advised me to park by the front as the card readers for the other doors don't always work. In short, the ownership/management of this hotel has not made a commitment to maintain the property. I understand COVID was hard on everyone. But savvy owners took the slow down as an opportunity to make repairs and renovate. Had they done that, this hotel would be top of the list for travelers.

Blood spots on the sheets the linens where dirty.

Dirty Linens at this hotel. I stay here during the week on Mother's Day 2023. It's a habit to always check the sheets and bathroom for cleanliness. The Duvet had spot of blood on it. Therefore the cleaning team changed the sheets and did not change the over covers. This was so disappointing and Marriott has yet to make it right. This hotel is not clean but the staff was friendly.

This was a tough decision, as I will give the employees 5 stars! Working with limited resources, they can't be blamed. Front desk definitely held down the fort. They were kind, courteous, and Gary was serving up some amazing quesadillas. This review is for Marriott. This place needs to be ripped up and redone. My toilet didn't work for 2 days and I had to call Marriott corporate to get help. Being in a baseball tournament didn't leave me many resources of checking out. Marriott, step up your game. I'm not paying four season prices, but I don't expect to be in the Bates Motel. Oh, and I hope you pay your employees more after this.

My room had crumbs and trash under the bed and around the couch. Shower had a large insect and came with no soap.Elevator had missing arrow light going up...looks like it was knocked out. I am a Platinum member and have traveled for many years. This is by far the worst Marriott property I have seen. If your going to have these rates...at least clean the place up and make it presentable.

Here is the phone log showing one of the calls to the hotel the night of check in l. The duration of the call was 4 minutes.

I booked my reservation yhtough my company's travel firm. once I knew I was going to be Kate, I called to cofitm it was acceptable to be wayvafter midnight. driving from Otlando I was concerned my my arrival would be delayed as I75 was closed asluyh if Atlanta so I called again. i was reassured it would be fine. when I arrived, I was greeted by a must snarky lady who had the empathy of a fire ant colony. she instantly had me wishing I'd stayed with the Hilton family. she had such a condescending tibe as she informed my that room was cancelled and slresfy paid for. she wouldn't let me have access.bad I only needed for one hour to change clothes. she then charged my for another room. unbelievable.

I was in town with my 16-yr old son for a baseball showcase. I chose a Courtyard Marriott because they are usually cleaner than most hotels. They don't offer free breakfast but the bistro serves Starbuck's coffee and an adequate selection of foods to choose from. After a long day of school, work and traveling, we got to the hotel around 9pm. Check-in was relatively simple. We got to our room and the first thing we noticed was the bad smell. It was kind of musty and stale. I know that a lot of places in the Deep South have that issue so I told my son to ignore it. We'd be on the baseball diamond more than we would be in the room. The next thing we noticed was that the latch on the door was missing. Yep ripped right out of the door. There was no way I was staying in this room. As much as I travel, I've experienced people trying to open my door on multiple times. I went back to the reception desk and asked for a different room. We were taken to a 'newly renovated' room in the basement. Well, it smelled good and the latch on the door worked fine. I went to use the bathroom and had a rude awakening. There was urine splashed on the toilet seat, under the toilet seat and on the floor and feces down in the toilet. That was so nasty. It was late and we were both dead tired and my son had to be out on the field ready to play by 8am. I took a washcloth and shampoo and cleaned the toilet good myself and threw the linens in the corner of the bathroom. Aftward, another thought came to mind. I called for my son to stop unpacking his things and I ran to one of the beds and pulled back the covers to confirm what I hoped not to find - big yellow stains on the sheets. They were on both beds. I ran up to the front desk and asked for a manager. By this time it was just too late to go looking for another hotel and I was afraid of encountering the same thing again. The manager offered to change all of the linens for us and clean the room herself. She was clearly upset about this and very apologetic. I took her up on her offer and took my son to the bistro. The server, Gary, gave us our food and drinks on the house. We were back in our room in about an hour. We never really felt comfortable here and we didn't stay longer than we had to. I am a Titanium Elite Marriott rewards member, so you know I've spent a lot of nights in Marriott hotels. This was by far my worst experience. I do want to commend the staff for handling the situation the best way they could and for remaining friendly and professional.

Despite…read morethe room being very nice, clean and comfortable, the hotels overpriced ( $13.95 per person) breakfast buffet was extremely disappointing. Cold scrambled eggs, fake bacon with most other items (French toast) clearly sitting for hours. We ate at 8am. As an IHG member for many years, I've not experienced such poor breakfast quality before. I expressed my disappointment upon checking out and the desk staff member stated she would add additional member points to my IHG account which she didn't. So to pay $13.95 x 2 being a IHG member for such a disappointing meal tarnished our entire stay. My wife and I went out to a local restaurant for a quality breakfast unable to eat at the hotel. Never was a credit offered to my bill and as said only a false promise to provide additional points was offered. Very poor customer service at this hotel.

I went down to ask if anyone could check it out- I was told no. The front desk staff told me the AC was on a motion sensor. Interesting. How does it cool when I sleep? I let my friend know- who was in the room; and it was now 77°. We met people in the lobby --- that were sitting there to cool off because their room was so hot. The also had a box fan to sleep. There is no maintenance on call; or anyone available. My option was to stay there, or checkout and receive a refund, as the hotel was fully booked. We opted to leave and low and behold ... no refund. We ended up at another hotel with great AC and breakfast for the same price. But now we have a bill for a room we did not stay in. I emailed the general manager .... crickets. I would update the review to reflect any communication- but I highly doubt we will receive it.

The breakfast is typical and average but offers a good variety. The evening social is a nice perk and they offer a decent selection. The rooms are clean and spacious. They are equipped well for a week stay. Beware the spoons in the room were ridiculously small. All the other utensils were normal size but these wow! Maybe it was just my room ? My only complaint was housekeeping. After being there 3 days I asked for light housekeeping (towels, vacuuming) the following day. The front desk person wrote it down I watched her do it. Next day, nothing no service. That evening I went back to the desk and asked for service again the next day and also to get needed towels. Next day, no housekeeping. I was leaving two days later so didn't see much sense in being disappointed again. I understand hotels are having it rough with housekeeping and ask you coordinate for service but they need to follow through. I am pretty low maintenance I remove my trash daily, keep the room tidy but can't vacuum or really wipe down surfaces. I just expect follow through. The property in certain areas is showing some age but they seem to be doing some updates and catching up on maintenance. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
