Tucked away off of Westheimer (behind a Kroger) is a clean, quiet, chill spot. The on-site restaurant serves brewed Starbucks coffee and drinks and snacks after 5. The outdoor pool was small but nice with towels and places to sit. The hot tub is gone, but there is still an exercise room with two treadmills and two other machines, weights, and a water fountain. I used the gated parking and was able to park close to the room, making it convenient. There is a washroom with a washer and drier you can use your phone to run. The front desk was always cheerful and ready to make my stay better should I just ask. The room had a small refrigerator, big tv, and a couch. Being tucked away behind a major grocery store makes it quiet at night, which is nice! read more

The room and the beds were so muggy and damp. I couldn't sleep here. The pillows were too soft. The room smelled like mildew and I just wasn't comfortable. Super old hotel and in a somewhat sketchy area. At least the parking was gated but still seemed like it wasn't secure. I wouldn't recommend this courtyard by Marriott. read more

As a traveler, I always make it a point to stay somewhere that feels safe, clean, and welcoming and this place checked those boxes for me...The location is very convenient, which already makes traveling a little easier. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Eduardo at the front desk greeted me with a genuine smile, and Yaimara, the supervisor, was equally amazing, friendly, kind, and truly accommodating. It's always refreshing when staff actually make you feel like you matter and not just like another room number... The rooms are clean and comfortable, the lobby is inviting, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Pricing is reasonable for the area. Yes, the property could use a bit of updating but honestly, that's true of most hotels, and it didn't take away from the overall experience. I would definitely stay here again. Your stay at this property can be awesome or hellish depending on who's at the front desk. Our first impression at the check in was great. We were greeted by Terivia who was kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the remainder of our stay was not as pleasant. We encountered several problems with the room, which is understandable. However, what was NOT understandable and unacceptable was the rudeness of the front desk attendant, Kawaina. Every time we had a problem and I tried to talk to her about it, she would interrupt me and was completely dismissive. What was even more disturbing was that her attitude would completely change when my husband, a white man, was standing next to me, and when a white woman approached her. As a POC, it's sad that she perpetuates such bigotry towards other POCs, and more importantly, as a worldwide organization, I'm disappointed that Marriott allows such discriminatory treatment of guests. read more

Good Courtyard Marriott. Close to a lot of great areas like Chinatown and Uptown. Rooms are pretty clean just wish they had walk-in showers there instead of old style tubs with shower. There is a pool in the center of the property. The hot tub was not in service when we stayed. Other things of note: free gated parking, free wifi, small gym on property, and lots of usb plugs in the rooms for chargers. This is a Courtyard Marriott so you can eat breakfast at The Bistro in the lobby. Breakfast and some small plates are available for purchase throughout the day. As someone who worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years I have a deep respect for hotel workers. The staff here are genuinely kind and seem to love what they do. read more

I'm so impressed with this location. I came in at the middle of the night and Terivia, the manager, and Charis, had everything I possibly needed ready. I appreciate they were so kind in helping me at basically 1-3AM, because I asked a lot of questions. This place is great, but specifically Terivia and Charis are perfect, so I hope you get them! I have no clue what the other reviews are on about, personally, but my hotel room was spacious for the price, had a tv, adequate furniture, nice bathroom etc... On a recent trip to Houston, I booked this hotel as their was a super-saver option on it for points redemption. At only 10,000 points... it was a snag for my visit. I did the mobile check-in option two days in advance and requested early check in. On the day of, I called to confirm the room would be ready by 1:00pm and was told that shouldn't be a problem. When I called again at 2pm when I was five minutes away... the room was still not ready because the hotel is older and doesn't have the visibility to customers who did mobile check in (or something like that from what I was told). With that said, the woman at the front desk quickly corrected the issue and got me into a room. Both her and the woman who worked at the hotel in the evening weee incredibly friendly. Even my friend who stopped by the hotel later on the day commented on how nice the staff is here. For that... this hotel would get a 5 star. The inside of the hotel has been updated quite a bit compared to the outside (especially the lobby) but overall is still an older hotel without any bells and whistles. For my needs though (a clean and safe place to sleep while I'm town seeing friends), this place was great. The bistro was not open during my stay here so I didn't ever try it, but it looked like a decent little coffee shop/ place to grab an evening drink if you're here for a meeting. All in all, I'd stay here again and would recommend it to someone who had basic needs and not the bells/whistles experience. read more

Spontaneous super last minute plans, for a road trippin to Houston from Dallas on a recent siblings trip and just for Asian food at Bellaire. I had to research everything the night before and called Courtyard Houston Westchase, spoke to Agnes. She was awesome at answering all of my 101 questions, haha. I got all my research done and questions answered, got a great rate on the Marriot Bonvoy website, so I booked 2 rooms for one night and I am excited for Houston! Road trip was quick, we drove straight to the Courtyard, checked in and had a quick rest before we explored Houston's Bellaire. Upon checking in I was helped by Linda J. and met then a few minutes after I got to met Agnes. Checking in was quick and service was great. We got 2 rooms right next to each other which is perfect. The rooms are on the smaller side, One of the rooms comes with a sofa bed which was a perfect size for one. I've never seen one in a single size before. The outdoor pool and garden area is nice, I enjoyed taking a walk and having a seltzer there. Kroger and a gas station is close by. No breakfast at this Courtyard but during the pandemic we were treated a a Grab and Go breakfast, I enjoyed the bag of snacks for breakfast. No coffee station, but Starbucks coffee ( $3.00) is available at bistro. There a daily parking rate of only $6.00. Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay here and the rooms worked out perfect, thank you Courtyard Houston Westchase!! Great location and convenient for Bellaire!! read more

This is worse than a motel 6. The elevators were broken, and it seems for quite some time. The rooms were small, and the screens were not only ripped but also had golf ball-sized holes. The hotel staff--that's a whole other mess. They were rude and condescending. Really want to do 2.5 stars, but that's not allowed. This is the second time staying here because it's close to where I need to be at a decent price, but I guess you get what you pay for. First time I stayed here the toilet had a hard time flushing (just liquid), the AC was obnoxiously loud like it was on its last leg, and the sheets were scratchy. However the room was clean even though it's dated. Second time here I've been greeted with a ripped chair, the carpet near the vanity has red stains (I sincerely hope some lady just dropped her blush vs it being blood), sheets have something black on them, and carpet feels disgusting/ greasy under foot so I'm mindful to wear shoes because of it. Good but not great Courtyard location. Front desk girl was new so wasn't sure how to upgrade my room due to being an elite member. Ended up not getting upgraded, but she did comp my parking. Parking was a nightmare as the gate just wouldn't open with my key card no matter what. So yeah, check-in was pretty exhausting. I don't remember too much about the room, so it couldn't have been that bad. But I could have booked a suite at the Residence Inn next door for the same price, so I feel like I got a bad deal. I got a king room for the weekend. The rooms were big, and not too expensive ($90/night pretax). My keys stopped working before we could check out, and housekeeping did not change out our towels or take out the trash. We came in March and the pool was closed. Some of the hotel guests seemed sketchy and someone's tires were slashed in the parking lot. read more

Christine and Trinaee at the front desk are both super stars and turned my VA medical stay into another Marriott VaCay! The Pool and Hotel area were clean with top Hospitality staff demonstrating "how may I help you attitude" in all our calls and towels requests. Had a small run in with one of the maids on check out day but was quickly handled and spent the rest of the morning enjoying the courtyard pool and spa. Great work out room too! CAUTION! THEY RELEASED MY PREPAID ROOMS AND WE ARRIVED ON A RED EYE FLIGHT TO NO WHERE TO STAY WITH ALL SURROUNDING HOTELS FULLY BOOKED. These rooms were confirmed for weeks before. They never called or emailed until that they oversold. I literally called when I was in my rental letting them know I was on the way, and they told me sorry I will need to call another hotel because they over booked. Why they gave someone both if our double rooms, I don't know??? I explained that is unacceptable. Here are photos of the rooms they sent put us in due to their inconsideration. Nasty just nasty. Mold, Hair, dirty, ran down. They finally sent a cancellation email after we showed up for our reservation. Austin Gerdes the Assistant is the general manager that gave away our rooms and he wouldn't return any calls. I felt bad for the poor lady on duty trying to clean up his mess. She gave him my number over the phone but he never called. How inconsiderate. This is a business trip and they started it off as a nightmare. I came across this location when looking for a competitive weekday rate. Needless to say, I was attracted to the price and identified it was within a fifteen minute drive to the Galleria, which meant this was not too far off the beaten path. Upon check in, I noticed there was front area parking and parking behind the gate. This property is next door to a Residence Inn. The lobby was clean, contemporary and spacious. And I somehow expected the lobby was updated and the rest the hotel was just average. The two desk agents were friendly. They got me checked in and took the time to tell me about the amenities (Ctyd Market, pool, and fitness center) and the layout of the property. Both took pleasure in talking about what this area has to offer. I parked close to my room, enter the elevator and head up. The hotel has three floors so absent the luggage I probably would have taken the stairs. Upon entering the elevator I took note that the carpet looked new. Stepped off and said the same about the hallway. It was pretty obvious the place is either well maintained or newly renovated. The room was just as impressive. Check out the pictures I uploaded. Needless to say, I am really satisfied with my choice and I will happily stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Westheimer is a gateway to so many things. The hotel is west of most central and popular spots but it's essentially right there minus the red lights. There are several options near the hotel. The property faces the side of a grocery store. It's less than a mile from Benihana and a short drive to Fogo de Chao. Price exceeds quality this time. Go Courtyard, you rock! read more

Today is October 18th and I woke up this morning to no running water and frankly not enough water to flush the toilet, brush my teeth or even shave. There was no notice given from the hotel staff or management that there was an lack of running water. In fact they would not even answer the phone to give me an update or status. Just so happened I had 1 gallon of distilled water in my room which served as my birdbath solution/toothbrush water/shaving solution. The hotel refused to make any accommodations at first then called me back 20 mins later to offer me a free breakfast and dinner meal and I declined their offer. I can buy my own damn breakfast and dinner but how about an apology Marriot. I guess they don't care about their occupants and guest enough to apologize for a major inconvenience. Seems to me if we had any real value to this hotel chain they would have apologized immediately and offered a reasonable accommodation instead of insulting me with the offer of a meal. This time around I will spend almost 4 months in this hotel and the best they could do is offer me a free meal for not having any water running in the hotel when I needed it the most. I really need to reevaluate whether or not I will continue to stay in the Marriott hotels based on this interaction and this interaction alone. This year I will have stayed in the Marriott over 200 days, go ahead check my stats, and this may very well be the last year I put this many days into a hotel chain that fails to apologize or recognize when they have inconvenienced me How embarrassing that I even have to ask for an accommodation. read more

I had such a great stay at the Marriott Westchase! I had a terrible flight into Houston with many delays so when I arrived at the Marriott to a warm and inviting front desk staff it really helped make the difference. When I called during my connecting flight to advise the hotel that I would have to miss my check in and make a later one, they were more than accommodating. I ended up getting to the hotel around 11 pm and the staff welcomed me with open arms, they didn't make for a fussy check in at all. A few minutes later I was in my comfy and very clean room ready for a restful nights sleep. Sadly my sleep was disturbed because of the work being done at the neighboring Hotel but no fault of the Marriott's I could have asked to be moved but I did not bother. I woke up and went to the gym... the pool was out of commission but I was not looking to use it in the middle of November anyway. The gym is small and has little equipment but the treadmill works fine and I managed to get a good sweat in. Plus it was empty on a Friday morning. The hotel is also very close to the galleria mall. If you want food options the Hotel has plenty of those and you can technically walk to the Kroger's but I am not sure how many people in Houston actually walk anyway. Check out was simple no problems there. All around a really nice hotel and a great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Houston. read more

Again - a hotel is a hotel is a ... So I don't look for a whole lot. Usable internet. Quiet, comfortable room. And a gym that's workable. The beds are just fine. The gym is workable. And the internet access is fast enough. And the location is close to the freeway and plenty of dining options. Where this place falls down is the noise level on the AC. It sounds like you've got a 737 in the room. It's insane. So your choices are to leave it on at night to be comfortable, or have peace and hope it doesn't get too hot/cold over night. On the whole there are worse places to stay and better places. Honestly - just fix the AC units and this would be very good hotel. read more

While the hotel isn't awful, I had various minor problems that, in sum, lead to a disappointing experience. First, the air conditioner in the room was VERY loud. And it's August in Houston, so you have to have it on. My coworker said hers was loud too. Second, the fitness room was 94 degrees with no fans or any other type of ventilation. It probably would have been easier to exercise outside in the heat. Third, I thought the room was really small. The Residence Inn next door may be a better bet if you like more space too. And finally, the location is so strange. It's like behind a Kroger. It did have some positive characteristics generally associated with this hotel class though. I liked the Paul Mitchell bath products, the decor was nice, and the Internet speed was adequate. The staff were also friendly. I just think I'll try another hotel next time I'm in Houston for business. read more

Nice, clean room, super comfortable beds, courteous, friendly staff. We stayed at this Courtyard for a weekend. The location is right off the Sam Houston Tollway, and a few minutes away from IHOP, and a Target store. Location setting seems industrial, or business related, but our stay was quiet, and fun! The indoor pool area is nice, and warm, even during chilly weather. Satisfied with this property, and would stay again if I get back to Houston. read more

I stayed here for a week while working in Houston. The front desk was excited to help me find new places to eat every evening, they also offer a cafe with pretty good food right here in the lobby. I had a potential candidate booked here, an as his flight got canceled, I called the next day to see if we would be charged the full amount or a partial fee. I was told that the rep would have to contact his manager and discuss the outcome with me. The rep never called me, I called numerous times to follow up and was placed on hold for over 30 minutes each time except the final time. I called back a week later as i still had not received the invoice of this charge but was already billed and finally got a response. Due to the customer service or better yet the lack of customer service i received, I opted to use another hotel for all future bookings. I feel if you are in the any industry customer service is a key component. If you fail, I can imagine how you would treat our prospective candidates. I was very surprised at this as we have used other courtyard marriotts and have received way better service. read more

We had a big wedding party in town and they let us stay late, be loud and have wine/beers in the lobby one night w/o complaints. The hotel was clean and parking was ample. Have now stayed at this location twice. Great locations out of the heart of the Galleria Mall area, about 5 miles. If you pre-book and pre-pay you cut about $130 off the rate, so this hotel is truly the best value deal in the Galleria area where most rooms run close to $289 night, you get this room for $149 which is spectacular value for the location. Lots of restaurants and shops right around this area and if that is not enough a 5 minute drive and you are in the Galleria mall district. Would definitely be staying here the next time I visit Houston again. read more

For my wedding I reserved several rooms in this hotel for out of town relatives. The overall service, cleanness and basics were ok, however I was very disappointed when I requested them to give a welcome package to my guests and some got it while others didn't. It was very weird that there unable to complete this simple task. Another issue with the hotel was the internet access that was crazy in the hotel's desktop. Urine filled elevators, homeless folk on the computers in the lobby, Dingy rooms, old and broken wrought iron gates, Popcorn ceilings with overbearing wall paint to mask a shabby refurbish job.
