Good Courtyard Marriott. Close to a lot of great areas like Chinatown and Uptown. Rooms are pretty clean just wish they had walk-in showers there instead of old style tubs with shower. There is a pool in the center of the property. The hot tub was not in service when we stayed. Other things of note: free gated parking, free wifi, small gym on property, and lots of usb plugs in the rooms for chargers. This is a Courtyard Marriott so you can eat breakfast at The Bistro in the lobby. Breakfast and some small plates are available for purchase throughout the day. As someone who worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years I have a deep respect for hotel workers. The staff here are genuinely kind and seem to love what they do.

On a recent trip to Houston, I booked this hotel as their was a super-saver option on it for points redemption. At only 10,000 points... it was a snag for my visit. I did the mobile check-in option two days in advance and requested early check in. On the day of, I called to confirm the room would be ready by 1:00pm and was told that shouldn't be a problem. When I called again at 2pm when I was five minutes away... the room was still not ready because the hotel is older and doesn't have the visibility to customers who did mobile check in (or something like that from what I was told). With that said, the woman at the front desk quickly corrected the issue and got me into a room. Both her and the woman who worked at the hotel in the evening weee incredibly friendly. Even my friend who stopped by the hotel later on the day commented on how nice the staff is here. For that... this hotel would get a 5 star. The inside of the hotel has been updated quite a bit compared to the outside (especially the lobby) but overall is still an older hotel without any bells and whistles. For my needs though (a clean and safe place to sleep while I'm town seeing friends), this place was great. The bistro was not open during my stay here so I didn't ever try it, but it looked like a decent little coffee shop/ place to grab an evening drink if you're here for a meeting. All in all, I'd stay here again and would recommend it to someone who had basic needs and not the bells/whistles experience.

Spontaneous super last minute plans, for a road trippin to Houston from Dallas on a recent siblings trip and just for Asian food at Bellaire. I had to research everything the night before and called Courtyard Houston Westchase, spoke to Agnes. She was awesome at answering all of my 101 questions, haha. I got all my research done and questions answered, got a great rate on the Marriot Bonvoy website, so I booked 2 rooms for one night and I am excited for Houston! Road trip was quick, we drove straight to the Courtyard, checked in and had a quick rest before we explored Houston's Bellaire. Upon checking in I was helped by Linda J. and met then a few minutes after I got to met Agnes. Checking in was quick and service was great. We got 2 rooms right next to each other which is perfect. The rooms are on the smaller side, One of the rooms comes with a sofa bed which was a perfect size for one. I've never seen one in a single size before. The outdoor pool and garden area is nice, I enjoyed taking a walk and having a seltzer there. Kroger and a gas station is close by. No breakfast at this Courtyard but during the pandemic we were treated a a Grab and Go breakfast, I enjoyed the bag of snacks for breakfast. No coffee station, but Starbucks coffee ( $3.00) is available at bistro. There a daily parking rate of only $6.00. Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay here and the rooms worked out perfect, thank you Courtyard Houston Westchase!! Great location and convenient for Bellaire!!

This is worse than a motel 6. The elevators were broken, and it seems for quite some time. The rooms were small, and the screens were not only ripped but also had golf ball-sized holes. The hotel staff--that's a whole other mess. They were rude and condescending. When the doors wouldn't open, the very lovely front desk clerk informed me that I had to use force to get them to open and close. 0/10 do not recommend

Welcomed with a torn desk chair.

Really want to do 2.5 stars, but that's not allowed. This is the second time staying here because it's close to where I need to be at a decent price, but I guess you get what you pay for. First time I stayed here the toilet had a hard time flushing (just liquid), the AC was obnoxiously loud like it was on its last leg, and the sheets were scratchy. However the room was clean even though it's dated. Second time here I've been greeted with a ripped chair, the carpet near the vanity has red stains (I sincerely hope some lady just dropped her blush vs it being blood), sheets have something black on them, and carpet feels disgusting/ greasy under foot so I'm mindful to wear shoes because of it. Pics are from the second stay.

CAUTION! THEY RELEASED MY PREPAID ROOMS AND WE ARRIVED ON A RED EYE FLIGHT TO NO WHERE TO STAY WITH ALL SURROUNDING HOTELS FULLY BOOKED. These rooms were confirmed for weeks before. They never called or emailed until that they oversold. I literally called when I was in my rental letting them know I was on the way, and they told me sorry I will need to call another hotel because they over booked. Why they gave someone both if our double rooms, I don't know??? I explained that is unacceptable. Here are photos of the rooms they sent put us in due to their inconsideration. Nasty just nasty. Mold, Hair, dirty, ran down. They finally sent a cancellation email after we showed up for our reservation. Austin Gerdes the Assistant is the general manager that gave away our rooms and he wouldn't return any calls. I felt bad for the poor lady on duty trying to clean up his mess. She gave him my number over the phone but he never called. How inconsiderate. This is a business trip and they started it off as a nightmare. Horrible practice and damaging to Marriot's reputation.

I came across this location when looking for a competitive weekday rate. Needless to say, I was attracted to the price and identified it was within a fifteen minute drive to the Galleria, which meant this was not too far off the beaten path. Upon check in, I noticed there was front area parking and parking behind the gate. This property is next door to a Residence Inn. The lobby was clean, contemporary and spacious. And I somehow expected the lobby was updated and the rest the hotel was just average. The two desk agents were friendly. They got me checked in and took the time to tell me about the amenities (Ctyd Market, pool, and fitness center) and the layout of the property. Both took pleasure in talking about what this area has to offer. I parked close to my room, enter the elevator and head up. The hotel has three floors so absent the luggage I probably would have taken the stairs. Upon entering the elevator I took note that the carpet looked new. Stepped off and said the same about the hallway. It was pretty obvious the place is either well maintained or newly renovated. The room was just as impressive. Check out the pictures I uploaded. Needless to say, I am really satisfied with my choice and I will happily stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Westheimer is a gateway to so many things. The hotel is west of most central and popular spots but it's essentially right there minus the red lights. There are several options near the hotel. The property faces the side of a grocery store. It's less than a mile from Benihana and a short drive to Fogo de Chao. Price exceeds quality this time. Go Courtyard, you rock!

Not once did we feel uneasy (and we live in the Houston area - did a staycation for my husband's birthday). A few years ago, it would be a different story. There are a few homeless in the general area, but they aren't disruptive. We stayed in room 705, complete with a city view. It was quiet and lovely. I wish the rooms had a full-size fridge and cooking area, but for downtown, the suites are just as big as a studio apartment. There's space-themed decor throughout the hotel. I found the valet pricing to be a bit steep, and unfortunately, I have reason to believe two pairs of sunglasses were stolen from my vehicle. (I realize they should have been put in my purse immediately after use, but it slipped my mind, and out of habit, I put them in the console.) Regardless, it's frustrating. It also took 10-15 minutes for valet to pull our car around, so that's something to keep in mind. The evening reception was nice, especially with the two drinks/person/night. We had chips and queso, though they had a few other offerings. Make sure you get the card at the front desk. The front desk staff will also try to sell you on destinations for a cheap rate. I'm not sure when this became a thing, but instead of telling us about the evening reception and breakfast, they tried selling us on a stay in Chicago. I really just wanted to go to our room since I did everything on the app. We also found the breakfast to be worth every penny to stay in this hotel. I can't have gluten, and there isn't any GF bread. I had eggs, potatoes, grits, and coffee. There were cereal, fruit, yogurt, and waffle-making options as well. I appreciated the coffee bar having various syrups. The hotel was extremely accessible for those with disabilities/handicaps. We saw several people in wheelchairs or with assistance. Hearsay on the Green is inside the hotel, and the food is priced well for what you get (and it's excellent). If you DoorDash, the Dasher has to leave your food/items at the front desk. They are not permitted to go up to guest rooms. The rooftop pool and hot tub offer views of the city and Toyota Center (excellent people watching). Overall, I'd stay again (but I'd ensure I brought my cheap sunglasses and not my Maui Jims).

When we ask they provide a crib for us that they bring up to our room. It's a 3min walk to the convention center. The fridge works a bit too well and freezes my son's milk and our food, which does cayse some waste, they do have a microwave in room which is nice. Couch is a pull out bed if needed. They provide a free breakfast buffet with a omlett bar. Food is always hot and fresh, they have staff manning it and serving it on ur plate to expedite the line amd for sanitation reasons. The eggs could be better they have a chalky taste. But the bacon and potatoes more than make up for that. Staff is always warm and welcoming, making sure everything is OK. There was a lot of open space in addition to the king bed and the living room area. Even though it was February, it was actually quite warm and humid inside the room. We had recently experienced temperatures in the teens in Dallas, so being in a room with the temperature in the mid 70s, seemed unbearably hot. We had to find the A/C and turn the temperature down a few degrees. The hotel is located near the arts district where we were planning to spend our Saturday. The earliest we could checkin was 3pm, so we spent our day visiting the city and just left our luggage in the car. Checkin was super easy since we already had a reservation. Parking was included. The property has a fence around it, so the parking felt relatively secure. It was also well lit. The spots in the front were mostly taken, but you could drive around to the back of the building and easily find a space. The hotel has an elevator, but it is very slow. We used the stairs quite a bit, but found the elevator useful for carrying our bags upstairs. The view was limited and not very appealing, but the building only has about three floors. Amenities like a pool, gym, and laundry facility were also available at no added charge. The Wifi name and password were printed on the room key to make it easy to connect. Breakfast was included. The breakfast area had several tables. the meal is buffet style. They do have hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage, and breakfast tacos. You can make a waffle or toast bread or a bagel. Cold items like juice, yogurt, cereal are also an option. Two staff members were there making sure food was readily available and that things were kept clean. There were a few items that bothered me about this particular hotel. One, there was no TV reception in my room. I couldn't believe there weren't any channels, not even local channels! I was also annoyed that the bathroom sink was not draining properly. My husband had to play with it to get it to drain at all, and even then, it took a very long time for the water in the sink to empty after washing my hands or brushing my teeth. Lastly, the light switch at the entrance of the room only controlled the lighting in the entryway. I had to go around and turn on individual lights to feel like it wasn't so dark. These were minor inconveniences, but for the price, I would have expected these not to be an issue at all. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and went out of their way to help me. On the day of our departure, my husband wasn't feeling well. They provided me with some bottled water as well as a Sprite to help his stomach. I was so touched by this offer. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We both got a good night's sleep.

Basic information like parking ($20/night), amenities, and breakfast was not informed unless we asked. We were placed on the first floor, first room by the elevator, gym, and kitchen even though the hotel appeared half occupied at best. We could hear conversations by the elevator, and a strong bacon smell filled our room every morning, which was very unpleasant since I don't eat meat. The side door from the rear parking didn't work initially, forcing us to walk around the building in freezing weather. When reported, the same receptionist was dismissive, saying no one informed her. Despite the convenient location, this was quite an unpleasant stay and we will not return!

I would say the decor is very old fashion lounge with there being a mix of table with chairs or chairs paired with a couch. Also, I made a note that I could not have tuna but they took this as I could not have fish so they gave me two chicken salad sandwiches instead of the salmon even though I had stated on the phone salmon was fine. She also could not describe one of the desserts but overall she was very pleasant. The amuse bouche was - interesting ( a strawberry with cream cheese) I didn't hate or love it. I didn't think the cream cheese added anything tbh. We had one dessert on the table waiting for us before we said down - a English parfait that had a white chocolate mouse, cake, and fruit. I loved it although it was a bit strange to have dessert already sitting at your table before you got your sandwiches but I am a dessert first girl so didn't matter to me other than it was constantly calling my name. You don't get to choose your tea and the two tea options are both black which is a lot of caffeine. The sandwiches themselves come across as unassuming but they are great and very filling. Each one has a different bread which was cool. Although not a fan of cucumber, the bread was milky and so soft. All the sandwiches were fantastic. Honestly, I was so full from the tea and sandwiches, I took the desserts home. One big misstep in service was the server forgetting to serve the second tea. I had to ask for it and by the time we got it, we were tea'ed out. You are gifted a box of macarons at the end - we almost left ours but our server ran and got us in time. I definitely had a great time, there were small incidents that stopped it from being 5 stars. Paying 79 dollars for tea is a bit pricy so I would expect a bit more precision and maybe more choice in tea?

From the moment we arrived until the second we left, we were treated like royalty. The flawless service started at the door with Sam, who welcomed us with the most cheerful and polite attitude. At the front desk, Kevin made absolute magic happen. He quickly coordinated with housekeeping to get us into a room for a very early check-in, and he was incredibly personable and fun to visit with. Kevin also rushed to our aid with a first-aid kit when my son had a little fall, showing just how deeply they care about their guests. The incredible service extended everywhere. The bartenders are masters of their craft--extremely knowledgeable and brilliant at making you feel special the second you sit at the bar. We even crossed paths with the owner in the elevator; he went completely out of his way to welcome us and ensure our stay was pleasant. He is such a warm, thoughtful gentleman, and his hospitality clearly sets the standard for the entire hotel. Late one night, the hotel manager performed another absolute miracle--since the rooms feature a sleek, drawer-style fridge, she found a separate place to securely store our three bulky takeout bags from dinner. Housekeeping was equally attentive, keeping our room immaculate, cozy, and flawlessly stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. Beyond the unparalleled service, the location is beyond perfect for exploring downtown Houston, with tons of restaurants and theaters within walking distance.
