Tried to open the door so I could go out into the balcony and this was the furthest it opened. What's the point of having a balcony then?

This is the worst experience I've had with a hotel. Firstly, upon turning on the TV it became obvious half the channels didn't work. We called the front desk and they sent up a maintenance worker who told us this was a recurring issue. Instead we chose to stream because it was advertised as "free," but realized that was also not working. Front desk said they had no idea what was going on. Room service came in to clean but only made the bed and didn't vacuum or wipe the counters. The room itself didn't give the feeling that it was all the way clean - the couch had a whiff of urine emanating from it. The popcorn ceilings and blaring air conditioner were also a nice touch. Oh! And the shower had a constant stream of water pouring out and the lever for the toilet was broken. Amazing. I'm disappointed not only in the quality of my stay, but the way the staff handled it. They communicated with me via the phone and didn't send anyone to help, didn't offer a voucher for their bistro - nothing. Just empty apologies and quickly hanging up. Lastly, we were given a balcony view and yet the door leading to it was closed shut/stuck. What was the point?

    1/2 the channels didn't work.

Unfortunately, this hotel wasn't the one for me. Check in was quick, totally normal. Very helpful. I've spent enough time in hotels that I've got status at most of the major chains. First of all, there are two wings in the hotel that don't connect. They didn't really explain this at check in. So I ended up going to the wrong wing and wandering around before going back to the lobby to start over. The maps on each floor do not depict this. I get to my room. It seems fine. But there is an odd ball cabinet in the corner... with a small fridge and microwave in it stuff in. So much so that it hangs open. The balcony is nice, with some furniture on it. The shower though; Such a highlight! The shower insert panel is completely disbonding from the wall. But also, here in room 329, you can expect to run the water for about 10 minutes before you get some hot water. I can't believe that in a desert environment, that meets any type of corporate "Green" initiative. To top off your bathing experience, you'll get to dry off with what I can only describe as left over Motel 6 towels. And then there is a television set. About 1/2 the channels are "Not Authorized" due to a dispute between Marriott and DirectTV, as I was told by the front desk when I called down. I'll go back to staying at the Hilton just down the street. Same local distance to shopping and restaurants but seems more put together.

Okay hotel. House keeping needs some improvement. Staff members are very friendly. Gym has two TM and free weights, but they had no towels and same in the pool area (used towels at the pool were sitting there overnight and about 36 hrs...where's the house keepers!? ) Room had collage dorm size fridge, microwave, and frat screen tv, which doesn't offer any pay per view (this is Utah baby!!) Room is somewhat outdated, but so the rest of Marriott group, right? Area offers many venues inckuding Indian Vietnamese American etc. Also across the street from barnes and novels, so if you get board at hotel you can run across the street and get some quality reading.

One night during my stay it snowed a lot and I was dreading going outside because the rental car place forgot to put a snow brush/scraper in the car.

Started badly for us as soon as we flushed the toilet in the room as it was clogged? Not from us, but the previous people??? WTH? Then when I called down to the front desk they brought a plunger in a bag that had "crap" still in it! GROSS! Where's the maintenance guy? Isn't this his job? The king-size bed folded up almost to a V when I first sat on the bed. Shower doors didn't close properly spewing water everywhere. The remote control and TV were outdated and older...$20 incidental costs??? The parking lot had trash all over. The bench seat under the car/valet cover had a ditch in front of it...Cigarettes butts are thrown everywhere...With a little bit of effort, this place could be better! On a side note, people have gone crazy about "covid" rules...For 55 years it's the "flu" and if your traveling and don't want to get sick, put a bubble around yourself and protect yourself from awful diseases! I can't wait until they start offering trips to Mars...Maybe there is a better place for some people! Our front desk clerk, I believe her name was Megen, was very nice, welcomed us, and gave us the lowdown of the property. It is actually very nice. The rooms are spacious suites, with a large fridge, microwave, dishes and cups, a desk, and a kitchenette counter area with a coffee maker. It would seem to be a place where people might have extended says, for business or personal. To that end, they don't provide housekeeping services until you've stayed 7 days, though the sign seem to say that they would do a full clean of your room if requested even if you stay less than the seven days. There is no complimentary breakfast, which is unusual for the hotels we typically stay at. Parking is free, though if the hotel was real busy you might have to park in the back where the dumpsters are (we didn't have to). When we checked in and after we had dinner, we did not see any business people, but did see a few interesting characters. Still, we felt v ery safe. Our room had double queen beds. They were more comfortable than the other two hotels we stayed at on this trip, but I still was awakened with hip and back pain. The bathroom sink space allowed for both of us to have our toiletries, and there was a nice walk in shower with doors instead of curtains, which I thought was a nice touch. The shower water pressure was just OK, and the bathroom fan did not seem strong, though it did the trick. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance, including a brewery right across the street, though we did not go there. Within a short drive there are many more options. The hotel is set back a few miles from the freeway, so it was very quiet. Except for the AC in the room, which when on, was VERY loud. Otherwise, it was very quiet. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in our clean and spacious suite at a very reasonable rate. Very nice for a stopover. Layton, UT, seems like a great place.

Small gym with 2 cardio devices, a couple weight benches, and decent set of dumbbells. Living area and bedroom had separate climate controls with thermostats which worked well. Didn't notice noise as a problem. Needs improvement: the furnishings are getting toward the end of their service lives. Not shabby looking, rather the cushioning of the beds and couches are on the downhill side of the peak. The dining service utensils were too few. Almost no spices provided for cooking. Stainless steel saute pans (I don't have the knack to keep food from sticking) are not my choice for cooking. No oven, btw. Summary: a nice room that's a step up from a regular room at a pretty good price. We'd stay here again for sure.

But wow, this place really surprised me! For the price we paid, it totally exceeded expectations. The room had everything we needed!! fridge, microwave, and plenty of outlets to charge all our devices (thank you for that, seriously it makes a big difference). I'm usually pretty picky about where we stay, but this spot checked all the boxes for a quick trip. The only downside is probably the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, and the fridge being tucked in a cabinet that blew out hot air when you opened it... kinda weird, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, a solid choice for a budget stay!!

I even got to choose which room I wanted! Gosh, isn't technology grand?! My friend and I were staying the night as we explored the area and were happy to find a clean and comfortable room awaiting us. We had planned on visiting the hot tub, but when we saw how small it was compared to the number of people in there, we opted to stay in our room. Just down the hall we saw Fahrenheit lounge with live music and a bunch of people dancing. It looked like so much fun! We made a mental note to come back another time more prepared to join the party. The beds were very comfortable-more on the soft side, which I prefer. There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the room. The ceilings are incredibly tall, making the otherwise typical sized room feel a little larger. The hallway to the sleeping rooms and pool is incredibly narrow. The walls are also a bit thin, or poorly insulated, because we could hear the excited youngsters in the hallway outside. Surprisingly, though, we didn't hear the music from the lounge in our room just down the hall. Overall, this is a hotel I'd happily book again. And I'll bring my dancing shoes!

It was a suite but with a bathtub (nothing was said when we checked in). We had reserved the roll-in shower for my mom not randomly. We went back to the front desk and inquired about getting a room with a roll-in shower since that is the room type we reserved and needed. The previous guests had been allowed to extend even though that particular room was reserved for the nights they wanted to extend. So, we were out of luck. It was a holiday weekend and they had 2 rooms left, thankfully one of them had a walk-in shower but just 1 queen bed and a sofa sleeper. The walk-in shower was most important for my mom's safety, so we made the queen room work. They did comp me one night, which was a good gesture. The next day, when I received a text asking how my stay was, I gave it a 2. I then received a text asking if they could call me. They said they called me three times; however, my phone never rang. The manager was to call me the next day; however, it was a holiday so the manager was not in but would call me the next day. We checked out the next morning prior to the manager arriving and was assured the manager would call me and likely email me (the front desk confirmed my email). I asked them to have the manager leave me a voice mail if I was out of cell service when she called since I would be driving in remote areas. I never received a voice mail or an email, and it is now 10pm (same time zone as hotel). I do not recommend this hotel and definitely will not stay there again. First and foremost if you get room 408 turn around and request a different room or at least don't sleep on the bed closest to the window. It's crap. It's like 2 inches in size compared to the other pillow top. Second.... Bring your own pillows as these are like inflatables with holes in them as they deflate to nothing when you lay on them. Literally flatter than a pancake and pretty much like laying in a sheet of newspaper. My husband and I had the worst night of sleep while our daughter slept like a princess. See pics in mattress size differences. Our mattress also felt like the springs were warn out as every time my husband moved it made noise and I felt every move he made. Worst night I've experienced in a looooong time. When we arrived the room was as cold as a deep freezer. We left for dinner, cane back and room seemed to have warmed up. That night we woke up sweating and the thermostat said it was at 67 but was not working and definitely not as cool as 67. Try 75ish?! I also woke up to what sounded like a distant alarm to realizing that it was the refrigerator motor. That was annoying every time it cycled. The bathroom was very tiny, and had one of the squeakiest bathtub floors ever! But it was nice that all the shampoo/conditioner/bath washes were full. We booked a hotel with a pool/spa but unfortunately, it was so packed with children/teens we didn't get to take advantage of those amenities. Breakfast is served, it's just meh. The cinnamon roll was decent, as well as the prepackaged muffins. Omelets were ick and the juices felt watered down. Parking is plentiful. Theres a small convenience shop inside. There's tons of restaurants nearby and shopping. Easily accessible to the highway and nearby Lagoon. Price is affordable but I wouldn't book here again.

We had to enter through a side-service entrance, and the "front desk" was a little window. Yes, apparently they were renovating the entire first floor, despite not contacting us ahead of time to let us know that we were not receiving the amenities or service we specifically booked this hotel for. Their "replacement" for breakfast was an overripe banana, bottle of water, and two heavily-sugar-filled breakfast bars. Hardly an equivalent to the normal expected breakfast. If your hotel is going to be in such a state, you should be emailing/contacting guests to let them know ahead of time. Seriously contemplating switching over to a competitor hotel chain, despite being a Platinum IHG member, because of this experience.
