Just wanted to update my last review. There have been a couple of changes, like new tables & chairs, new menu board, etc. but I still love this place! The coffee is still amazing! Nice and smooth, without the slightly harsh after taste you get from so many other coffees around. It's amazing! The service is far above average! Always friendly and extremely helpful. You don't feel rushed to make a decision and they always help you out with suggestions if needed. It feels like... You're at a friend's house. The volume is usually low on background music & customers talking, which adds to the mellow feel. Honestly, I can't find one thing wrong with this place. There's even a bagel menu, full of choices of your hungry. Great place to hang and work, read, chat, or just chill. I'd highly recommend it! Love this little place! Very eclectic and cool. The Staff is friendly and helpful. The crepes look delish (Although I didn't try one this time), and the coffee was amazing! Freshly made to order and served in cute sky blue cups. WiFi avail and low music in the background. There is also a small courtyard in the back and a few tables out front as well if you prefer to sit and enjoy the great outdoors. Lots of choices for coffee, teas, and yes Crepes (Which I'll be trying next time!!) I'll certainly be back! I'd recommend this little spot to all. Had crepes and coffees here. Savory sunrise crepe was great. Strawberry fields was good. Service and ambiance were great. Only feedback for improvement was the thickness of the crepes. They were a bit thick for my liking. A little thinner would be awesome. The coffees were good. read more

Tried this location once and I can't wait until I get a chance to go back! Located in downtown Hammond, this is the cutest coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. The smell of coffee is like a warm hug when you walk in, and there are also different treats to choose from. The staff is so nice and the coffee is delicious. I'm selfish enough to wish it was at an easier to reach location, having to parallel park downtown or a few blocks away is what stops me from being a frequent guest. read more

Good spot for coffee and crepes, important to note that they have bagels as well since those can be hard to find in the south sometimes.

Literally my favorite quick stops The bagels are so soft and fresh. They cook the food so fast & have many fresh options to add. The muffins are huge and moist. This reminds me of a lil stop shop to grab coffee, check some emails, & go about your day. I love it. The staff is amazing too read more

One of my fave places in all of Hammond. It's the cutest coffee shop ever with such quaint atmosphere. The lattes are delicious. Today they had seasonal lavender honey. For someone who is not a coffee fan, I still decided to try it and was not disappointed. Courtyard is on another level sometimes, this place has such a great atmosphere that just makes it easy to crank out some homework and enjoy a nice coffee. Their shakerato is pretty good, it is definitely worth a try. Also their service is great, always bringing your drink straight to you when you setup a table and food is also very good. COZY little coffee and crepe shop. Music wasn't too loud, lighting was a purposeful mix of string lights and natural windows. It was my first time in and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have wifi and outlets everywhere for your laptop/work needs. I was there at 11am and there was plenty of seating. I ended up with an iced vanilla latte and the service was quick. I came here for the first time; I've been wanting to go here since they first opened. I got the Black and White cold brew and Mannino Honey crepe. My friend got an Americano with the Sunrise crepe. Both coffee drinks were delicious. They had just the right amount of kick and flavor that I look for in my coffee. The crepes were also delicious! I loved my Mannino Honey crepe, and my friend devoured his sunrise crepe. It was soft, warm, and fluffy. The flavors were great in both crepes. The cafe itself had great decor, and I loved the seating arrangements on the bar as well as tabletop. It was crowded inside when I went, so we just sat on the outside patio. I also love the view they have of being able to watch them make crepes. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will be coming back! Come here for a surprising taste of France! The quality of their crepe varied for a few months since their opening, but now it's nearly perfect! This restaurant is fun and unique in decor, a great local cafe with USB charging ports along the wall. The decor and atmosphere create an eclectic and fun place to eat. You can choose the toppings and fillings, including tempting fillings such as Nutella (a hazelnut chocolate spread). There is bound to be a crepe to suit your taste and mood! Courtyard Cafe is new in Downtown Hammond and is mostly centered around coffee drinks and teas. The coffee they brew here is excellent if you're into strong dark roast artisanal roasts. They brew Mojo brand coffee, which happens to be one of my favorite coffee brands out of New Orleans. They're crepes have become a big hit and they come with choices in either the sweet or savory variety. I really appreciate that as a coffeehouse, Courtyard Cafe is trying to offer things found outside of the typical Starbucks corporate standard. This place appears to have the potential to form a bound with the personality of the local community, or at least with the ever changing college culture associated with Southeastern. I would advise customers to fully detail how they like their orders because I've experienced a few minor errors from the youthful staff that will undoubtedly get more settled with experience. Also, the to-go cups are sealed tops rather than detachable lids so I had an experience where a staff member sealed my top and then offered me creamer after. So therefore I had to break the seal completely to add my creamer. This is all minor stuff that will iron out over time. The only reason why I didn't give this place a full five stars is because because I found the in-house music to be exceptionally loud. It like like club beat driven pop music that was so loud at times you could hear the bass pulsating outside of the doors. That's not the type of atmosphere I expect at a coffee shop. However, I am 30 years old now and understand times have changed. The clientele looked very young so maybe that's how college age cafes are? I'm not sure. On the flip side, the small courtyard outback was a quiet and serene escape from the inside. The fountain and vegetation were calming, and you may even catch some real life turtles roaming about! I really enjoyed the courtyard. It was a nice place to gather my thoughts. read more

The food and the coffee was very delicious. I had the salmon bagel and my friend had a savory ham crepe; very well-made. However the place was full of gnats. They were all over the wall and when people moved, they would disperse. The place needs a good cleaning and scrub down. I couldn't even focus to study. I was too busy protecting my food. read more

Overall rating: 3/5 Atmosphere: this place gets a 5/5 for overall decor, ambiance, and greenery. The interior of the cafe is cozy yet sleek.  The walkway to the restroom (and the restroom itself) is straight pinterest goals with cushioned nooks backed with large windows peering into the courtyard.  The courtyard is lush and beautiful with crawling vines, full ferns, a rustic fountain, and 3 to 4 small tables for seating.  Oh  and the bathroom has amazing wall art of the "iron throne" behind the toilet for all you GOT fans. Food: 2/5 While the food and coffee weren't bad per say, they weren't anything to write home about. If I am being perfectly honest, the crepes were a bit on the thick side for, well, crepes. As a place which boasts about their latte art on IG- I was surely disappointed. I ordered a latte with glitter.  I was at least expecting glitter. Out came my latte- no art, not even a straight enough pour for a well placed white dot, and not one touch of glitter.  Once I pointed out my glitter latte had no glitter per ordered, the nice server took it back.  However, she just sprinkled some glitter on top. No art for me. Service: 2/5 I had to help the cashier correctly give me change back, not once, but twice.  I handed the cashier a $50 bill and exact change for my order, she gave me back change for a $20.  I brought this to her attention.  She denied that I gave her $50.  I had her check the register.  Low and behold it was there. She gave me incorrect change again.  Finally I pulled out my phone and worked the math problem for her.  I understand mistakes happen, but a simple sorry goes a long way.  For the other service ding, refer above to the latte.   Overall, if you want a place to relax, read a book, do some research, and drink a basic coffee whilst  in a beautiful environment:  this could be the place for you.  If you actually want superb service and crepes with the texture of crepes: this place may not be for you. read more

This place is GREAT. In no way am I wanting to bash this place bc - The coffee is yummy and the interior design is beautiful. The only thing making me take away two stars is also slowly driving me away from my favorite study space. The grill... the smoke... it chokes you up! There seriously needs to be a vent for the grill smoke. It's not safe to breathe in cooking smoke and it just makes you smell like grease by the time you leave. The oily smoke also falls all over the room where dust and dirt and crumbs collect! Over the past year- it feels like this place hasn't been CLEANED. The floor and tables and even the decor feel and look covered in dust which really stinks bc this place is AWESOME... just looks like no one has realized how bad the collection of greasy smoke, dust, and dirt matters. The fans and trinkets on shelves even need to be cleaned off. It's slightly unorganized in the back where the bathroom is. I still go here bc I love the coffee but it's really hard to go in and then leave feeling dirty or like I smell like smoke! Used to love it here when they first opened a few years ago... but lately the cafe and courtyard are very dirty. The bathroom is never clean. The courtyard is full of garbage. And the cafe has dust from ceiling to floor. Coffee is still good! But it isn't nice to hangout here lately. read more

The café is very chill and a world of its own. Unfortunately the day i ended going it was somewhat busy,, making it difficult to enjoy to nice vibes. Although the environment was crowded it doesn't change the amazing customer service and food.
