It's nasty old right on the highway the rooms smell the halls smell. The carpet feels disgusting I'm scared to walk barefoot in my room. Blanket flimsy. Just not what I'd expect from Marriott and I'm loyal. Mesquite is not somewhere I'd ever stay but thought I'd be safe with a Marriott property in Texas. Reality check! The highway is soooo loud. No sleep just horrible. I came to mesquite for work. There are no decent hotels in the mesquite area which I just learned so I recommend staying in Dallas or Frisco and make the drive which is what I'd do next time. This place is awful. read more

Throughout the whole hotel smelled like weed. The room's furniture (couch) looked and felt dirty. The lights in the room had burned marks or something on it that distorted the lamp. The bath tub and shower needed to be recocked. The carpet in the rooms felt dirty as well like it was old carpet. When I got into my room my window was open but it wouldn't shut all the way. So I listen to the highway all night. I had to check in late so I was already tired and didn't want to deal with changing rooms. read more

Location was weird with this freeway right next to it. That's under construction. I didn't hear any noise. It was just ugly looking. I got there in the evening and left early in the morning though so I don't know if there is noise in the day the room was acceptable (some renovations needed like replacing the tub), although it had some strange odor in the bathroom. Not a room I would want to spend more than one night in. It was weird the missing button for the first floor in the elevator... so every time I needed to go downstairs I had to push inside the button which was unacceptable. Ive been using this hotel for my company's lodging and they had been nothing short of amazing! They did have a short switch of sales manager but I am glad I reconnected with their new one. They are always quick to respond to invoice and receipt requests. Their front desk are always so patient with our company's last minute requests. The best part of my stay was the amazing front desk staff, the worst part of my stay was everything else. I only stay at Marriott's and have come to appreciate and value the consistency. This Marriott was disgusting, we actually thought about leaving and just making the hours drive home. The room was dirty, the TV didn't work, the bathroom door didn't close, the chair in the room was filthy and the noise level was staggering. It was like walking into a room that should have been closed for a deep cleaning and maintenance. After 30 stays at Marriott's in the past year it made me rethink my loyalty. read more

Tired property in desperate need of renovations. I've had 1,500 room nights in the Marriott system and this hotel is tired. Room example: broken lampshade, broken ironing board, rusty tub, TV remote doesn't work, TV is old, very compact space, no daily housekeeping, closet iron holder is blocked by shelf, so not functional, decor not changed since many years ago. The bed, however, appeared clean and was comfortable. Hotel example: checked in via Bonvoy APP and desk reception had no idea what I was talking about, did not have my key ready, could not find me in the system initially, and had me process my payment manually. Carpet and decor are unchanged from my pre-Covid visits 5 years ago when I stayed here several times. It was showing its age then. Other than the untrained late night desk clerk, the staff is generally friendly and helpful. read more

We stayed here because this was the closest hotel where our event was going to be at and no other reason. My sister has Elite status for Marriott and you'd think that would mean something, right? Not really. We didn't even have a fridge in our room - isn't that a standard? The room was nice and clean. They have Paul Mitchell toiletries but they were not replenished. I take showers in the morning and after working out so, I can easily finish a bottle is shampoo and lotion in about a day. Don't expect a nice view of anything because you're pretty much in the middle of nowhere. You either get a view of the freeway or Celebration Station. If you're a fan of chain restaurants, Olive Garden, Outback, Red Lobster, and Hooters are within walking distance. But if you want good food/ good BBQ, you have to drive to Dallas. They have Starbucks in the lobby but they offer very basic beverages: coffee-based drinks so, no green tea latte or what have you. read more

Had to stay here during renovations at my house and insurance offered this as one of the hotel selections. Glad I chose this one. A fairly standard hotel with gym and pool amenities but the staff was always above and beyond in service and friendliness. I was here for a few weeks but actually looked forward to being in the hotel. Room was comfortable and certainly livable for my time period. First, avoid Mesquite if you can, it's on oddly dull area in an otherwise fun part of Texas. The courtyard is actually fine. It was clean. It was a Marriott. However, it was freezing cold this morning and I decided I better have the breakfast in. I normally avoid the hotel breakfast, but again, cold. This is when I learned that only certain brands give free breakfast for Marriott. No matter...I had planned on paying. Their cafe first offered me coffee. You mean there is no free coffee in the lobby, like every hotel down to motel 6? Nope. Then the menu. Higher priced and fancy names, but $11 for something akin to an egg mcmuffin is not something I feel like rewarding. So I bought a granola bar for $2 and went to my room to use my room coffee maker. There is s Fairfield nearby, and they offer the hotel free breakfast. So as a service, here are a list of marriotts I researched so you know who has breakfast provided: Residence Inn Towne Place Suites Springhill Suites Fairfield Inn and Suites Element Business people who don't feel like knocking out $13 of your daily expenses on breakfast, or families....you are welcome. read more

This is a decent Marriott property. Pros are location (on a medium-sized restaurant row, right off a couple major roads, near a mall), indoor pool, great customer service, evening drinks and snacks. They also have adequate workout and breakfast areas. No major cons other than they haven't yet renovated this particular hotel so it is a bit dated (but very clean). read more

We checked in online anout midnight. We got a card key @ front desk & went to the room # written on card key envelope. To our surprise, room was already occupied! Very disturbing! Carpeting in thus hotel is filthy & torn up on 2nd & 3rd floor. Back down hall w/luggage & told girl @ desk. She said we had the same last name. Now my last name is not Smith or a common name so what would be the odds?! Glad we weren't shot! It took a long time for her to tap tap tap on keyboard. Hallway smelled like pot. Room dark, unclean smell, walls dirty, carpet dirty. Night desk attendant denied existence of mold after my report that I smell mold and showed him my allergic reaction, hives. Heavy smell of marijuana. We shortened our stay, PAID THEM $272.63 for 2 nights, checked out and into Holiday Inn Express in Garland. We visit Dallas often but WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. The rooms are nice. Well kept. The a/c does not work well. We were told "we stop serving breakfast at 9:30" but nothing was mentioned about the breakfast not being free or included. We woke up and went down stairs for breakfast only to be greeted with high prices for poorly made food. If we had been told the breakfast was NOT FREE then we would have looked for a Fairfield. This was my first time and this particular location. Staff was extremely friendly, whihc made up for a lot. This location still has the old lobby with the buffet and it is obvious from wear and tear this is an older hotel. However, the place was clean and that's the most important thing. Rooms were clean and they seemed a bit small. The only drawback of this hotel is they are on a major freeway so if you get a front room you may have to deal with traffic noise. I got a front view room but traffic rarely bothers me, in fact I find it a bit soothing. Typical amenities included workout room, pool and hot tub. I did use the pool and hot tub. Hot tub was a little too hot but the pool was PERFECT, like 80-85 degrees. They also had the overhead lights off so it was a very relaxing experience. The back door was open and the cool night air was blowing in. They are around a lot of retail but I did not realize until the next morning. The retail is about 1/2 block away and you really cannot tell from the parking lot, but there are lots of restaurants and shops within 1/2 block. I gave it a lower rating just because of the wear and tear that was visible. But I would definitely stay there again. One last thing - the elevator is SUPER SLOW. read more

I didn't know what a bedbug looked like until I came to this property. I told management about it upon checkout (that's when I dawned on me that these critters could be bed bugs!) and they took care of my bill. As I told friends of my experience, I was advised to take precautions upon returning home. All my clothes and suitcase got sprayed down and have been sitting in my garage in trash bags and will be there a few more days just to be sure they're all dead. As I drive back home from this hotel, I called the manager and left a voicemail, kindly asking for a call back. It's been 3 days (2 weekend days included) and I haven't received a call back. Is that normal when you tell the manager that you want to talk further about the bedbug issue?? I will NOT be staying here again. read more

The people there are very friendly. Not much in terms of food offering at the hotel with the exception of breakfast. the gym had only 1 treadmill, elliptical and bicycle. They weren't of the best of Marriott. The room and amenities were very good. They are close to many food establishments including Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Hooters, King Buffet, and several Mexican restaurants. Check in was a breeze. Room was very nice and new. They just completed renovations and they did an excellent job. Rate was excellent for the area. Furniture is modern and neat to look at. Half round couch in room for watching tv was excellent with its awesome foot rest. Tv was too small however. But I didn't watch any so could care less. Showers good. Toilet check. Water flow positive. Overall I cannot complain about the experience and rated according to the rate. read more

I came to this hotel Monday 6/10, due to our power being knocked out from storms on 6/9. This hotel is clean, stocked and well-kept. The staff are courteous, very professional and I was cordially greeted each and every time I entered the lobby. I scored the room on Priceline and checking in at the hotel front desk was effortless. My room was a single king on the 2nd floor facing I-30 and the freeway noise was not bad at all (I am a light sleeper and slept well during my stay). Room included black out window treatments, a love seat/hide-a-bed with throw pillows and rolling ottoman, mini fridge, coffee maker w/2 bags of coffee and condiments, several charging stations w/plugs, a medium sized TV with basic cable, free Wi-Fi and lots of clean towels and toiletries which were of course replenished daily. The AC blew very cold; I currently suffer hot flashes, especially at night, so trust me this AC was put to the test and passed with flying colors! Shower had good water pressure, but drained super slow so I let the front desk know. The indoor pool was nice and refreshing, I did not use the hot tub, but it looked clean and in working order. No complimentary breakfast at this location, but I'm not a breakfast person and was ok with that. However, they do have a café/bar which does serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is the first time I have ever encountered bedbugs in my life. I had a nice stay and everyone was great. Woke up itching the next morning then discovered I had been eaten up by bedbugs. All over. When I called to tell them, it was not taken seriously at all and they acted like I was making it up. I told them I wasn't asking for anything, just wanted them to know they had a problem to which I was told they do not. Come to find out I was not the first one. I would not have posted anything if I felt like they took it seriously or would fix the problem. I feel like travelers need to know to thoroughly check the room first. read more

Got an exceptional deal on Priceline which is why I chose this hotel. Staff was very friendly especially considering we had a late arrival at 2am. Night manager was very courteous. The room was close to the lobby so all we were able to see was the pool which was indoor and looked inviting and the lobby with breakfast area itself which appeared clean and well maintained. Our room was 2 double beds- clean and comfy with an armchair with footstool and a desk with office chair. Not new but just fine for our one evening stay. Could not give 5 stars only because breakfast is $10.95 for full and $7.95 for continental which is probably great for someone going to or from the airport convenience wise but pretty pricey nonetheless. Elite status members get drinks and other snacks free which are served by an attendant (who was really nice by the way). Didn't get the chance to use the gym or anything but it looked pretty standard. Very nice, clean hotel. Located next to plenty of options for eating lunch and dinner. Staff was very friendly and accommodated my early check in. With all that being said, do not get a room facing the highway unless you can sleep through anything. The windows are paper thin and there is heavy traffic 24 hours a day. Paid $120.00 for the night. Walked into a stale smeeling aired room. The room obviously had not been used in a while. There were dead bugs in the shower and jacuzzi. Fine layer of dust on the TV and dresser. Was over all good room just looked like it had not been booked or cleaned in weeks. All was ok after that. Probably won't stay here again. For the price I will book in Dallas I am a huge Mariott fan. For the record the bed and sheets were super cumfy I used my own pillow. read more

I have stayed here once every month or so for the last year. The people who work here are top notch. Really professional, warm people! The rooms are incredibly comfortable and immaculately clean. I work long days when in town and get up early, and they are often out of something I could really use (once the pantry was practically empty, once the restaraunt was entirely out of food, other times no water bottles, limited food options). If I were vacationing, visiting friends or family, or did not work 10 hour days I would totally stay here, and you should too. If you will be busy when there and don't want to go elsewhere to eat or shop for basic things, it may not be a good fit. read more

Recently renovated with nice-sized modern looking rooms. Everything looked and smelled clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room had a mini-refrigerator, but no microwave or in-room safe. Hotel was close to opening The Bistro cafe that would serve hot, made to order breakfasts and afternoon cocktails. Currently, there's just a continental breakfast. It's currently 1045 pm on a Saturday night and I'm still not able to sleep. This hotel literally shares a parking lot with a place called celebration station. It's very loud with some sort of loud bang every few minutes not to mention the cars playing music super loudly in the parking lot. The hotel itself is usual courtyard quality but due to the constant party next door I'll probably go to the courtyard further up... Oh I'm sure it's the same for the Fairfield on the other side of the party place. ..... update its 1am the place is supposedly closed next door yet the banging continues...**** update again at 2am I finally called down to the front desk.. I can't be the only one hearing this banging! They figured out it was a crew doing work on the celebration station place next door.. While they can't help me get any sleep they did offer to reduce my rate which was nice and gave us free breakfast.. 4 stars just for the customer service.. Although I'd prefer sleep. read more
