This place went beyond my expectations. Beautiful hotel inside and out. All employees were very nice and willing to help with anything. The rooms were big, smelled great and fresh sheets. Breakfast was amazing, they had eggs, sausages, potatoes, cereal, muffins, bagels, waffles, yogurts, fruits. Juices, coffee, hot tea. This place had an inside swimming pool and jetted hot tub. I enjoyed that very much. I will be using this hotel again when I travel back to Rockwall. A lot of walkable restaurants nearby. read more

I stayed in room 204. There were roaches in the bathroom. I took multiple photos plus a video. Showed the front desk and they weren't surprised at all. Told me that room 202 had had them for awhile. No partial refund. You'd think a large company could get rid of roaches ? But I guess not. I used to be a Marriott member but chose here cause the value was good. Now I see why. Nothing but positivity about this hotel. The rooms were outstanding- immaculate, large, modern decor. Shower was wonderful - hot with excellent water pressure. Big, fluffy towels, not just the usual shampoo & conditioner but body wash as well . Mattress was perfect as were the pillows and linens. It was almost a pleasure to do my laundry as the facility was so incredibly clean The bonus was a great front desk staff - Vanessa, Moses and Sharif- they were not just knowledgeable and competent but extremely pleasant. Awesome pet area with bag dispenser, lots of grass, and a peaceful sitting area. Finally, there was breakfast, the icing on the cake so to speak. After a long day of travel, all we wanted was to crawl into a comfy bed. I had done a lot of research while we were driving, and felt like I had found an excellent price. However, when we arrived at the front desk, we were told the price was $50 higher. To be fair, I don't believe the property was aware of this price Switcheroo. If you can stay someplace else please do. Upon our arrival we went to check in, the front lady didn't even bother greeting us, as she had her headphones on talking to someone. She was rude and not attentive at all. Thank god I only booked for one night, the room smelled like feet and mold, I spray the room with Lysol and you could still smell it it was awful. ROACH MOTEL!!!! Oh my word.. and by the way the front desk doesn't care! I turned on the light in the bathroom and seven yes count them no less than seven roaches scurried out of the drains and on the bathroom floor. Unfortunately stepped on one before I saw them. Lady at the desk is extremely rude. Toilet doesn't flush properly & maintenance is "unavailable". We were told to fix it ourselves, & to get plunger from the front desk. We didn't clog it! The keycard doesn't work and we need to replace it everytime we return to hotel. There is no mention on the website that they are doing renovations that will affect your stay. Don't stay here if you can avoid it in any way. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. From the moment I arrived I was met by a friendly and helpful desk clerk. There's a small area by the desk with limited choices of microwavable meals, cold drinks and sweets. Suite was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels, central HVAC (which beat those noisy wall units), and reasonably quiet. The TV remote/control for the sitting room, however, did not work - and was not resolved during my stay. Very close to shopping, fast food and restaurants. Pool and exercise equipment was clean and up to date. Breakfast good with multiple choices and dining area clean. Also, reasonably priced. read more

Recently stayed here. Specifically selected this property because it was pet friendly and I understand that comes with some pet related issues! But I also assume that the hotel is set up to manage and care for pet friendly rooms. The property looks nice and fairly new! BUT! They don't maintain the pet rooms between guests! The first issue was that a previous guests dog pissed on the corners of the box spring skirt and carpet in 3 places. This was obvious because of the dark stains on the skirt and the smell of dog piss on it! Bed skirts are removable and washable! Why was this not cleaned and replaced? Because of those, one of our male dogs spent the night smelling the bed corners and wanting to mark over them! I finally went to PetSmart up the street and purchase Simple Solution to treat the areas so he would settle down! The even bigger issue was the room was infested with fleas! Our dogs do not have fleas and where we live we don't have fleas...but that said we still treat them with flea medication because of travel and it's part of their heartwarming medication. In the AM we were both covered in bites! We doubled checked for bed bugs and luckily there were none! Thank goodness! But we did find fleas and killed a few! So beware of you are not a pet person, you may be subject to a room with dog piss and fleas! If you are traveling with your pets, be prepared to deal with marking and fleas! I would rather a hotel charge an extra 10/15$ pet fee and treat the rooms after a pet checks out, then to ignore the issues because they are "pet friendly" The issue with pet fees is they tend to be free or $50-100 extra! Free gets you this lack do maintenance, but $100 is insane unless your pet damages the property, which you already agreed to cover under most pet agreements... read more

This is a fairly small hotel (which I think is good). The room was fairly nice. We got a suite with a sitting room, microwave, and refrigerator. I liked the room. It was big and the price wasn't bad ($124 with room taxes). They give you plenty of towels too, which is awesome! The free breakfast was not very good, but it was better than nothing. The check-in was easy and they also have a small indoor pool. Very small pool. They do have a sundries area where they sell a few items like soda, some pills, and some candy items. This is a solid 3 star hotel. It's not a 4 star and it's not a 2 star. Also, they have many restaurants near by and some of them are within walking distance (like Applebee's). I would stay here again! 3/5! read more

We were visiting Rockwall, TX to fish. The hotel was in a great location, close to shopping, restaurants and about a 10 mins drive to lake. Keshia and another guy that checked us in we're friendly and took care of all of our needs. The breakfast was nice and the coffee and orange juice wasn't watered down. We tried the French toast and sausage and wasn't bad. Food was fresh and hot. If I'm ever in the area again I would stay again. This is a very clean and updated motel. The pool area with hot tub was very nice although the pool was slightly cold. The evening associate was not very friendly. She checked me in and turns out she was outside visiting with a group of people that had the front entrance blocked with their car. I walk with a cane and had to walk further and through the group to get to the entrance. Then when I was at the desk no one was there. I had to stand there while she ran in from outside. Other than that and having to have our key recoded the second day it was fine. They packed a nice pandemic sack breakfast which included a Jimmy Dean biscuit which I thought was a great idea. read more

Stayed here three nights during time of a high school reunion. The room was clean, but sparse and the last two days the maid threw away my soap and didn't replace it (as a reminder, always pack your own) and the coffeemaker was not cleaned out. Despite these issues, the breakfast room was clean, the eggs powdered but plentiful, and the coffee weak. My friends stayed at the Hampton Inn across the highway and their coffee was much better. We requested late check out, and the employee (Jessica) approved our request, WITHOUT any charges. One month later, we saw extra charge on our credit card. We tried to get credit back from LQ, but manager said that the late check out was not free. We had to request credit thru our credit card company. It's really not about the $33 money, but the LIED they told us. BAD EXPERIENCES, NOT SATISFIED, WILL NOT STAY THERE EVER AGAIN. NOT RECOMMENDED!! read more
