I was gifted a spa day at this salon. This was my first time going. The location was easy to find. Parking was fairly ample. I walked in and was greeted immediately. I awkwardly walked around the non working fountain in the middle of the entrance way. Thinking to myself what a hazard. I had booked a 1 hr massage, facial, pedicure and manicure along with brow threading. The lady that did my massage (name unknown) was very talkative and at first I was annoyed as I wanted to relax. She would explain what she was doing and asked if I was comfortable with pressure or being touched in certain areas. After a bit she started to explain my body issues as she was massaging me, how tight I was, the stress, too much coffee, lack of exercise, the need for stretching and how my body was showing me that I needed to lay attention to it more. She did this in a way that was not a put down but more of a realization. It was interesting and very informative. I love a deep massage and she was deep. She worked me to the muscle! She massaged areas others usually miss. She had me snoring a few times and I came out of that room a new woman. Giving her a 9 out of 10. Had a facial next by another person. Not sure what she did as there wasn't much explaining of the steps. It was so relaxing I fell asleep. Before we finished the last steps I got my eyebrows threaded and than the last steps of the facial was complete. Facial 8 out of 10 Eyebrows 6 out of 10 (I prefer my usual place and how they shape them) Next up was manicure and pedicure. Before we started I explained I did not want a manicure. I asked if I could get a credit to come back which I was told no. If I don't get it today than it's gone. That was shocking to me. So I asked for gel polish for my pedicure and they said they would do that instead. Not exactly the same cost value, but better then losing the price of manicure. (Yes it was a package deal but still thought a credit would be an option). Anyways had a lovely pedicure. Other places that I have gone to scrubbed the feet and worked on taking off the dry skin more than this place. Really loved my toes and how nice they looked. My heels were still rough. I suggest using a pumice stone to really work that area. The tools were limited in what they had. I would give a 7 out of 10 for the pedicure I did get a lovely green tea and samosa with chutney. That was really lovely and got a second serving of it all. The chutney was very good. Over all the experience was wonderful. It is pricey for most of the services and feel the best value was the massage. If someone wanted to give me another day at this spa I would not refuse. read more

I've been here for a pedicure and eyebrow threading. It's so pretty and feels so luxe inside! The waiting room makes me feel like a princess, and they offer you delightful little biscuits (yes please!). As for the services themselves, very professional, clean, and gentle. My eyebrows and toes are definitely on fleek and I will be back :). There's lots of parking available and the staff is all super friendly and welcoming. Prepare to feel pampered! read more

I came here because of all the good reviews, and I'm so glad I did! Thanks to Lisa B's review, I requested to see Naila for my full face threading. She's very sweet, kind, and thorough. She listened to what I wanted for my eyebrow shape, and shaped them beautifully. There was some hair left on different parts of my face, but I have never been to a place that didn't miss some hair. It was a bit pricey compared to what I'm used to (around $30 or so), but the customer service is awesome and so are my eyebrows! It's pretty hard to find someone who shapes your brows perfectly. I will be coming by soon, and hope to try more of their services in the future. read more

My experience here was exceptional! I saw Shruti, she was excellent. I had been going to a different spa for my waxing, but the last two times they ripped the skin for my Brazilian, so it was time to find a new place. Shruti knows her stuff. My skin was not irritated and looked great later that day. I also had my eyebrows threaded, and couldn't believe the difference from my former spa. The staff were very cheerful and friendly, and the premises is gorgeous. The rooms are clean and have a relaxing minimalist decor. Will definitely be returning! I have been here to see Naila three times for threading. She does a beautiful job and pays attention to detail. My eyebrows are always beautifully shaped. And she is patient - I'm a pretty awkward person at places that cater to beauty, and get a bit nervous, but she gently places my fingers where they need to be. She also does a bit of a brow massage when done, very soothing when you just got your eyebrow ripped out by the roots. The staff that I've met have all been very friendly and the facility itself is beautiful with a water fountain at the front door. Music is gentle and relaxing. I'm not really into beauty services (eyebrows is about all the attention my face gets) but am thinking I might try some of their relaxation services. I find them very reasonably priced for eyebrow threading (total $13.60) so I book an appointment every 5 weeks. Thanks Naila! read more

I booked a massage with Erika...the massage itself was good with warm oils and was really relaxing. However when checking the times I arrived at 420 (10 minutes early) and on checking the time after I was done by 515.....this is more 45 minute massage for the price of an hour :( read more

I can't say enough good things about this place: the staff are all excellent and friendly, and the treatments are professional. Every time I go in they have a smile on their face and are happy to answer any questions you have. The place is clean and looks beautiful as well. The first time I came here I had a groupon for a Brazilian wax. It was my first Brazilian, so I was nervous. But it turned out I had no reason to be! The aesthetician was professional and courteous, and did her job well. I later purchased another groupon for a microdermabrasion with facial, which was awesome! The groupon covered the microdermabrasion with a mini-facial, but my aesthetician was kind enough to agree to do a full facial with the microdermabrasion for only $20 more than the groupon price. I just went back for another waxing appointment, this time for a Brazilian, lower legs and underarms. As the other review mentioned, the beds face the doors, which can be a little frightening, however, they gave me a hand towel, which was enough to cover me from hip to hip, so I was comfortable. This time I had a different lady doing the waxing, and she barely got me to change positions, but it went even better than the previous one. All three of the waxing procedures were scheduled to take 75 minutes, but because of the level of expertise, they only took 25. However bad that seems, it's actually better than having them last the scheduled amount of time. Who wants to sit there for half an hour while someone peers at your lady bits trying to figure out where the wax goes? And who wants to wait in between strips? It's easier to just get it over with, I think! P.S. I have an upcoming appointment for a more spa day-like experience (sans-waxing!) with the same aesthetician I had for the waxing, and she was legit already planning what nail art we should do for the artistic pedicure I'm getting. :) read more

Worst eye brow treatment I have ever gotten. The first lady I got proceeded to tell me she could not make my eyebrows even as they were different colors, excuse me I have never gotten my eye brows coloured before, or neither have I ever been told that. When I told her that is impossible because these are natural she argued with me. They then did an uneven job, missed stray hairs and gave my eyebrows a big point while loosing my arch. I have been getting my eyebrows done for years and this is by far the worst experience I have ever gotten. I do NOT recommend this place. read more

I have since been back twice since my horrible experience at this spa and I'm actually surprised at the 180 spin this spa has done. When I returned for the second wax in my 3 wax groupon for this place I was a little worried and nervous. I didn't know whether I could go through the same damaging experience as I went through last time. Fortunately, I was given a different waxer and I'm so glad because she has made all the difference! So for my second Brazilian wax there, it was the same procedure of taking shoes off and getting changed in the small room. They still were using the small towel to cover my goods and did not use any draping techniques but I was accustomed to it now. The new waxer was very friendly and accommodating as the rest of the staff, and I was so thankful as she started the procedure that she was trained and educated in the art of waxing. She didn't need to say anything about her education but her skill was apparent. She did everything efficiently and painless, which was 100% better than last time, she also did my eyebrows and while it wasn't as good as the first time I got them done at this spa, they were still pretty good so I didn't mind. The lady was very talkative and social that it definitely made the experience a lot more enjoyable. By the end, we had already scheduled the next time so I wouldn't have to worry about it later and I found myself looking forward to it. My third groupon experience was beyond amazing and made me become loyal to them. I had come in before a vacation and had scheduled the brazilian and under arm wax. I made it a point to book with the lady that had turned my experience around at this spa, and when I came in she greeted me kindly and took me to the small room. I was surprised to see a bigger towel available on the bed and eagerly draped it on, until five minutes later it was completely gone which I don't mind anymore. What really blew me away was the flexibility to get more services as well as the customer service, which has always been apparent. The lady quickly and expertly finished the two waxes I had booked while we had a wonderful conversation, but I still wasn't sure whether I wanted my legs waxed or if I wanted to stay up later to shave them. I realized that I was too tired and relaxed at the spa to take the second option, so I inquired if she had the time. Usually at normal spas once you have had your services done they kick you out to get the next client in, but here they made me a priority and accommodated my requests. I was also on the fence whether I should get my eyebrows threaded since they weren't fully grown out, but had a couple of stragglers. The lady's generosity astounded me as she said she would give me a maintenance thread for no additional cost. Finally I was fully dressed and ready to pay when I realized I had a bit more spare time before I needed to be home, so I asked for the next vacation must, a pedicure! Once again they made room for me and set me up in the other side of the spa for pedicures. This was my first pedicure ever and it did not disappoint! I've had gel polish done before on my toenails with chipping occurring shortly after but the nail polish that was applied has not chipped yet and its a month after I received the service. The pedicure itself was very nice from soaking your feet in the tub, to getting the cuticles/nails maintained/cut, to getting them massaged and scrubbed of dead skin, to applying the polish and lotions. By the time all my services were done it was closing time and there wasn't enough time for the polish to dry for me to put on my shoes without smudging them. So the spa offered me the use of their flip flops to take home, so long as I am able to return them on my next visit. AHMAZING! I am now a loyal client. Best part about the pedicure? Even my boyfriend noticed the difference in the softness of my feet and now wants to give it a try to improve the skin on his feet. Overall I am shocked at the difference a person makes to the quality of the spa, if you've had a bad experience here, I recommend you try this place again but with a different service provider, I know you'll feel differently. read more

Only once I had to wait past my appointment time, but she was incredibly busy and trying to get all her clients in before she left for a trip (which I really appreciated). This was my first time at Courtyard Laser and Day Spa, and overall I'm pretty impressed. I had read the yelp reviews beforehand, and so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. I've been looking into trying/working up the courage to get a brazilian wax for a while. I purchased package #3, which includes a full leg wax, brazilian wax, and eyebrow threading (or wax) for $99.95. Which I think is a pretty great deal! I've had my eyebrows threaded a million times, and my legs waxed as well, but this was my first brazilian. So I was a bit nervous for that. I was a walk-in, so when I arrived (it was early afternoon), I did have a short 10 minute wait. More than enough time for me to work up my anxiety about the impending doom my nether regions would soon be experiencing. Beauty is pain, as they say. I had Naila doing all of my services for me. She brought me to the room and left. I quickly undressed my lower half and laid down on the table, putting the towel over my exposed genital area. The towel was about a hand towel size. big enough to cover me from hip to hip, although I'm quite petite, my hips are only about 30" all the way around. She started with the eyebrow threading. I already had my eyebrows filled in, so I think that served as a pretty good guide for her as to my preferences. I didn't say anything to her about the size/shape before she started, and they turned out perfectly. I love them! A huge bonus for me was that for some reason, it barely even hurt when she was threading them, and in the past when I've had them done, its been SO painful! So she must have a great technique. Then she moved on to the brazilian wax. I didn't really know what to expect, but for the most part it lived up to my expectations. I've given myself an at-home bikini wax with persian cold wax before, and it hurt like a b*tch! I'm also super slow haha. When I waxed myself there was some bleeding, but there was none when she did me, so it must be her technique. Her method also hurt less than when I did it myself, she was very fast. One thing I wasn't sure about though was her application and removal technique. She did the same thing on my legs so I'm curious. But what is typical in my experience is that you apply the wax to a small, workable area, and apply the strip over the whole area, and then rip it all off. What she did was she would apply the wax to a very large area, and then rip rip rip rip rip smaller sections at a time. I honestly just closed my eyes for the entire brazilian wax, but I could feel what she was doing obviously, and I watched while she did the leg wax. Honestly, I don't care that much about her technique, as long as it's quick and as painless as possible. She was VERY fast, which I really appreciated! She made me very comfortable throughout by making nice conversation to distract me, which I appreciated! Now let's talk about the pain - Obviously it hurt, but for the most part it was pretty bearable around the bikini line, and pretty much on most of the more "external areas" as well. But as soon as she got closer to the fleshy labia area, DAMN. THAT WAS THE MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE EVER. Like, yikes. Seriously. Thankfully that near-fleshy area is pretty small and quick, but those moments were truly terrifying. I was so so thankful that she was quick. As far as the butt part of the brazilian, between the cheeks - it really didn't even hurt much at all. Less than the bikini line. As far as the leg waxing, it was quick and pretty painless. Obviously nothing could hurt as much as the brazilian. I don't have much to say about it at all. It was fast and efficient. She did the top and sides of the legs (and the front of the brazilian) as I laid on my back, and then I laid on my stomach and she did the back of the legs and between the cheeks, which took maybe three minutes in total. The actual procedures (might be the wrong word lol) started around 1:30pm, and finished around 2:05pm. Just over a half hour for all that? Amazing! She did wipe my brazilian area with oil before moving to the legs, which helped while I was maneuvering my legs for her, because then the inside of my thighs didn't stick to my genital area. She wiped my legs with oil at the end as well. My one complaint however, is that she did miss some of the wax when she was removing the strips, and that didn't come off with the oil, even though I rubbed on some more after she left the room. So I was a bit sticky when putting my jeans and socks back on. I definitely wouldn't go and get this done at a time when you can't go straight home after... To get rid of the leftover wax (which became very evident when I got home, since the dark blue fibers from my jeans stuck right onto the wax), I took a hot bath and melted coconut oil into it. Some very gentle rubbing and it was all gone! Plus I was nice and moisturized. I would recommend doing this after waxing regardless, then you'll be nice and even more soft, silky, and smooth. read more
