Never again. Horrible service. Cold pizza is what is servered, can't cut it nice and even down the middle or straight through. No noakins or straws to be found anywhere front counter. I am a frequent here, so much so, that every employee there somehow still recognizes me. I work a few doors down, so this is my weekly "Toonie Tuesday" Location. Tuesday is the perfect day to give this place a try, the portions are enormous. One slice there, equates to two normal slices. They are frequently fresh and out of the oven, making each slice ooze and drip with sauce. I honestly don't understand how anyone could eat pizza anywhere else. The beauty of this place, is that it's simple. It opens. It bakes pizza. Customers buy pizza. Customers are happy. End of paragraph. I would suggest that this is almost the best pizza place in the city. It is, on the other hand, the best budget pizza place in the entire city. I do hope you wander in here because you will not regret it. Just note the line is exceptionally long, with limited seating, because guess what.... Pizza is like an episode of Buffy the Vampire slayer, even when it's bad it's good. But just like the 90s classic we all have our faves and misses. People love Stobies.. where as I can't stand it (and no... not because they never do my name for free slice). Some don't like Cousin Vinny's either but I happen to. From the thick crust to the zippy tomato sauce. Plus they don't use that weird plastic cheese that some chain stores like Pizza hut use (super stringy yes... but harmful to the gut later). For $11.50 (that's with tax) I can walk in and walk out with a large 4 topping pizza that satisfies the 'za' craving. If I just want a slice tuesday has a good deal but even regular price for a giant slice isn't so bad. Especially their straight up cheese pizza which sometimes is even better than all the topping laden ones. I think if you are downtown it's worth a shot checking out. Yes, service can be slow but to be fair most times I've been there it's only one guy working so... give him a break, you can only do so much yourself :D read more

I don't ever order anything here other than a slice, which is about a 3-Star for flavour, but when you factor in the value, especially on Tuesdays when all slices are $2.25 including tax, you really can't beat it. Some Tuesdays it does seem like they go light on the cheese in comparison to a regular day, but for $2.25, it's still a great deal. As for the comment I see on here about "rude people behind the counter" that is an experience I've never had. The guys are always friendly, even when they are busy. Have not had a rude experience, even once. **EDIT** Two things: Price has gone up .25 so it's $2.50 on Tuesdays, and Tuesdays at lunch during the school year, avoid this place like the plague. Obnoxious teenagers from the nearby high school fill the place and you won't get anywhere near the counter unless you're comfortable getting into a physical altercation with a bunch of teen punks who just don't give a damn about societal norms. I can't believe that the other reviewer referenced Mother's pizza! He's right - it *is* close to Mother's! I have allergies, which makes ordering pizza a bit an ordeal. Vinny's gets it right, every time. It's well-priced, and delivery is quick. They do a decent job on wings, too. For the detail-oriented, the ham is diced and the pepperoni is cut into rounds. Pretty legendary place for pizza in downtown London located right on the corner of Carling and Richmond. I usually always stop in for a slice when I'm around the downtown area, and especially if it happens to be a Tuesday lol because they have any giant pizza slice for $2.15!! But even on a regular day they're not too expensive and the size is well worth it anyways. Never ordered a whole pie yet so I can't really comment on that end but the slices are always top notch! Considering I've been here well over a 100 times it is amazing, and a huge oversight, that I have yet to review this place yet. Let's remedy that right away, shall we? As many others have noted, they offer $2.50 slices on Tuesdays - and incredible deal which I have been taking advantage of weekly for years. To be clear. these slices are big - in fact they slice them in half once you order to make eating more manageable. As also noted, Tuesdays at lunch are extremely popular and I often try to show up closer to 11:45 in order to beat the rush - a strategy that is usually, although not always, successful. The staff are almost always friendly although there is nothing fancy or formal about this place. The pizza is consistently good although I cannot recommend ordering the freshest slices strongly enough. Like any pizza the heat lamps are not always its friend. When its good its among the best but when its not ... well, its just not. It appears this place is not for everyone - so I'd suggest checking it out on a Tuesday when it presents the best value - as long as you don't show up until after me. (Thanks!) As well, the owner is a really great guy - often asking after my mom or my kids and is just a generally all-around nice guy. The also offer wings and Montreal smoked meat sandwiches and such - I've tried many of them and can confirm they are all really good - if not exceptional. All in all, if you're willing to accept this place is not gourmet or pretentious you will likely enjoy it. Then comes the first bite... not so bad. Well, if you ignore that they forgot my pineapples. 3 outta 4 ingredients; I guess 75% is a passing grade is a passing grade in many places. I ordered the meat lovers barbecue tonight for delivery. I found on the internet that they had a special for 1 large 4 topping pizza, 2 cans of pop, two pizza dips and 1 lb of wings for $21.99. With delivery and tax it was just under $28. I placed the order and was quoted a 45 minute delivery time. One hour and twenty minutes later I had my pizza, pop, wings and dips. Except, the pizza was totally different than the pizza I enjoyed in the shop. The crust was like cardboard. The toppings were the same but the crust was awful. The wings were soggy and below average. This was no fault of theirs as the way just eat dictated my order to them on paper was confusing (I.e (1st pizza) pepperoni (2nd pizza) mushroom (1st pizza) bacon) - any cook seeing that at 2:30 am would mess up. I have visited Cousin Vinny's often when I was working in the area. Their pizza is a little inconsistent. Since I go in for slices I have to order what looks fresh. Many times they have slices which have obviously sat for a long time under the heat lamps and have turned to slabs of rubber. When you do get fresh pizza from them it is delicious, the sauce is wonderful and toppings are plentiful. Buying it by the slice you get a very large piece very cheaply. The staff generally seems unhappy and not very excited, though I'm not sure I blame them! The actual restaurant is a bit shabby looking, dark, and cheap. They are so rude to customers on the phone...I ordered on Justeat.ca i got a call from them asking what toppings i wanted on my order, after i had told the guy on the phone my toppings without saying anything else he just hung up on me without a word, then when I called the store back to explain my frustration with this, the other gentleman i talked to eventually hung up on me as well. on Friday night my boyfriend and I ordered the pick 3 for $18.99. We ordered a medium pizza, 2lb wings and 12 mozza sticks, we placed our order at 8:05pm, they said it would be btwn 45-50 mins. It took an hour and half and when the driver came to our door, he said it was $30.00, I told him I was not paying more than $20.00 bc he was so late and our order was only supposed to be $21.50, so he took the food back and drove away.
