I really wish I liked their sandwiches…read more.. The service is friendly and quick, even during peak hours. The dining area is welcoming but nothing special. I have gotten sandwiches a few times from this spot, but each time I find the same thing: I don't like their bread. The ciabatta is crackly and hurts my mouth. The focaccia is just so much bread for a sandwich. Often I find my sandwich is just dry and not as flavorful as I'd expect for a spot that seems to be innovative and thoughtful about their rotating sandwiches. Every time, I read the description of the sandwich and think it'll be great, but every time I'm disappointed. It's dry and bland. I'd rather spend my money on food I enjoy, which is a bummer because I'd rather support local businesses, but I'd say save your money for Jimmy John's or Jersey Mikes.... But who knows, maybe I'm just not ordering the right thing.

Tight for space inside and with a long line (presuming from the nearby resort and lake properties), we had a chance to look around. There is so much signage and memorabilia on the walks that makes it hard to decipher their menu and offerings. We made it simple-an iced americano and an iced coffee (they don't offer cold brew). After the 1st sip, the cozy, quaint, nostalgic feel of this place wore off and we both agreed that it was some of the worst coffee we have had in quite some time. The beans tasted over roasted leaving the cold brew tasting like cigarettes. My americano suffered the same fate and espresso pulls felt too short leaving it bitter tasting. It may be the only place in town but I would keep driving in order to find an acceptable cup 'o joe.

Their was 1 women waiting on her order and after she received hers it was approx 6-7 minutes before the only women working on what looked to be 3 subs by herself noticed me and asked if I had been helped yet, I told her no ma'am and she stopped what she was doing and took my order. I finally got my order and paid, the women who cashed me out (not the pleasent women who took my order) never smiled or said "Thank you", maybe she was having a bad day or was just tired..not a major deal but I always believe customer service is a MUST. *I also made eye contact with an older gentlemen that was working in the back area who came out to restock the clean cups and gave him a smile with none given back* I ordered the Sicilian sub and It was spicy as it advertised so I enjoyed the first half but the second have lost it's appeal due to the spiceiness of the sub so I definitely will not be getting that again. I did see a small dining are where you could order your meal and enjoy it there. I liked the bottles of wine they have displayed as decor. Sandwiches are made fresh while you wait. Food is really good and the staff is always amazing. They are really friendly and they work their butts off! He welcomed us and thanked us repeatedly for choosing them as he's aware consumers have many places to choose from. He spent a lot of time with us talking about the different varieties and cuts of meat. Gave tips on how to prepare items we bought. Told us all about their "specials". Never felt rushed even though the store was busy. In the bakery area he recommended to get the cinnamon roll and oh my it was the best one I ever had. I usually get cheddar, lettuce tomato, tartar, and creamy coleslaw on mine. As you can see from the picture it's usually enough for two meals. Yes, when you walk in around lunch time that deli counter will be swamped, but I encourage you to grab a number and know that these employees are efficient so you won't be waiting that long. Aside from the great lunch specials, they also have great customer service, everyone that works there is really friendly. I love bunzel's!
