I took my brand new dress to the dry cleaner, and it came back with several oily stains. Initially, they told me I should return the dress because they claimed the material was problematic but they never mentioned anything about stains. I only discovered the stains after they kept saying that I should return it, which raised my suspicion. I brought it back and they said they could wash it again with water. After the wash, the stains were little less but still not completely removed. The lady there was not honest and kept blaming the dress's material for the stains. I told her the dress was brand new and had no stains when I brought it in. Please be cautious about this store. I plan to file a report with the BBB to warn others about this incident. read more

I found this place on Yelp after buying a royal blue bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal off the rack. The dress had a few torn stitches, no clip in the back, and the bottom just wasn't flattering for my body type. When I walked in and explained everything I wanted fixed, she was so understanding and made me feel completely comfortable. She also went over pricing clearly, asked about my budget, and helped me find solutions that worked for me. I gave her about a week to finish the dress, and a day before pickup, I called to check in. During that call, she asked me to come in for one last fitting to make sure I could walk comfortably and to measure the straps one final time. The next day, I came back to pick up my dress -- and it was perfect! The length was just right, I could move easily, and the new straps looked like they were part of the original design. After visiting several places, we were repeatedly told that the dress would be too difficult to alter due to the sequin-covered top. My daughter was disappointed and heartbroken. The owner at Couture on Grand was incredibly kind, experienced, and confident. Once my daughter tried it on, we realized it needed to be taken in by 3 inches (even though size 2 and 4 supposedly only differ by 1 inch!). We were told to expect a call Saturday morning. Despite having several dresses and a wedding gown already in her care, she managed to fit us in as her last client of the week. When we got the call on Saturday, we rushed over--my daughter had less than three hours before meeting friends for prom photos. She tried on the altered dress, and it fit perfectly!
