I've been here a few times since 2019. From what I can recall, - Spring 2019: I needed a few adjustments for my graduation dress. Needed to tighten the waistline and I also wanted to trim the dress length so it'd reach the top of my knee - Late October 2025: I got my Maid of Honor dress altered here! Unfortunately, I had very vague ideas of what I wanted. No more than 10 mins on the fitting platform and this gentleman was able to piece together alterations I was extremely happy with when I had to wear this dress less than a month later. - April 2026: I got 2 of my new trousers hemmed here. I had pants from Banana Republic and Aritzia that fit well for my waist, but I needed to shorten the length for the pant legs. Although there's a bit of a language barrier, this man is extremely talented and a local treasure to the Diamond Bar community. I no longer live in the area, but he's worth the drive from the South Bay for PERFECT alterations. Most places have drastically increased their rates because of the pandemic, but I've never quarreled with the owner of Diamond Bar Tailoring. Fair prices for absolute phenomenal work!! He may not have the 5-star rating on Yelp he did back then in 2019, but he's always been consistent and great with managing his time/customer expectations. I read through the reviews and prepared myself to work with a more challenging, but expert tailor with great prices. I was more than happy with the alteration I requested and the estimated cost. I paid $15 cash upfront when I dropped off my dress. In hindsight, my mistake was not getting a receipt from the tailor. When I returned to pick up my garment, he accused me of not paying for his services and tried to get me to pay a second time. I felt so insulted and upset that I didn't have proof of payment and that he didn't do a better job of book keeping. After much back and forth where I argued that I had indeed paid, I was finally able to leave. The entire interaction left me feeling disenchanted and offended. While the value and quality of work is excellent at this tailor, make sure you are diligent so you aren't accused of owing money. I won't be returning. read more

WOW! The man who works here, Mr. Tim, is an amazing tailor. It's my first time using him and it won't be my last. He does great work! My husband and I have a black tie event to go to and we brought my new formal gown and his tux in for alterations. My dress needed to be shortened and Mr. Tim hemmed it beautifully. My husband also had his tux shortened at the pants, sleeves, and taken in and he loved how it came out. The thing I really like about Mr. Tim is that he was able to alter my trench coat. I bought a new trench over a year ago, and even though it is size XS, the body of the coat and the sleeves were still too long. I had taken it to several cleaners who said they can do alterations, and all of them said it was too hard and wouldn't alter it for me. Mr. Tim was able to shorten everything and even moved the sleeve cuff loops up. This experience alone tells me that he is more of a highly skilled tailor than the ones at the dry cleaners. I absolutely recommend Mr. Tim for all your tailoring needs, whether it be formal wear, work clothes, or everyday clothes. He has quality work, fair pricing, and quick turnaround. read more

He'll let you know if a tailoring job won't work and even suggest returning the item if needed. His prices are very reasonable, but keep in mind it's cash only! I went in here on Monday 2/10/2025. I brought in a leather jacket that I wanted to get 13patches placed on the sleeves and chest of the jacket. The biggest patch is 4" by 6" (2 of those), and the rest were about 2" by 2". He told me he needed 3 weeks and when I told him ok thank you and began to walk out he said he could have it done by 2/21/2025. I agreed and he began to mark up my jacket with chalk (I believe it was chalk). I asked how much it would be after I showed him all the patches. He didn't respond, he just kept marking the jacket. When I handed him the last patch he said "Oh this too much" and then told me the price would be $160. I told him that's more than $12 per patch and that's overpriced. The jacket only cost $150 itself! It would have been fine to just go our separate ways, but this guy stained my jacket with all his marks and he ripped off my original price tag I had on there. He spent about 10 minutes taking off all the chalk (white marks on my black leather jacket), but there are now rub burns from him scraping off his chalk. I chose to just walk out vs engaging any further. DON'T COME HERE! I tried to support a local business because I live in Diamond Bar but this was truly a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Stay away! read more

Hands down one of the best tailors Pros: super straight forward, quick and does the job right. The wife and I have used his services numerous times and he never fails to deliver. Honestly I'm scared to go anywhere else. Hopefully he doesnt retire soon. We've given him from cheaper clothes to clothing that has exceeded $1k. I have been a customer of Tim's for many years now and while I think he's highly skilled in his craft, I've been experiencing a change in his attitude and how he deals with clients as of late. I came in to ask for what I thought was a simple repair on some buttonholes that were fraying and he rudely demanded that he won't do it and he's much too busy now. While I understand there has always been a bit of a language barrier, nothing can excuse rudeness. There were 3 other clients in the store with me and this situation caused such a scene, that I could feel the most heavy uncomfortable tension amongst everybody and nobody knew how to handle the situation. To make it even worse, while I was inside one of the changing rooms, I overheard him continue talking to the other clients regarding my interaction with him about how he was the best and I could go to someone else who's not as good as him, completely giving off the impression that I'm not even worth his time. I went to Tim because he was a local tailor nearby my home and work. I tested him out by getting a pair of pants done and a shirt and they came out alright. Fit was good. However, I think I trusted him too quickly. I gave him about $500 in business to alter clothes that I spent almost 1k on and he ended up ruining all of the pants. The shirts came out fine and fit well but it just disappointed me deeply that my pants were ruined. It's a hit or miss with this place. I like Tim. He is a nice gentleman but the job he does is inconsistent. Oh well. Learned my lesson. Go to a tailor that is very meticulous with your measurements and doesn't just eyeball the cutting. Thanks Tim. This was my first time getting something tailored and he did a fantastic job! I brought in a skirt with a stretchy waist band, and I wanted a zipper to be added to the side (where the seam is). I brought my own zipper and paid $20 upfront. I dropped off the skirt on a Sunday, and he said it would be ready by Thurs. I was in no hurry and said that Thursday was fine. He did such a great job adding the zipper and lining it up perfectly with the seam. He kept the waistband so that the skirt is still stretchy! I took in two $200 jeans to get the bottom hem shortened and made skinnier, and I have to say I was initially nervous about trusting them to a tailor I had never met. But when I went in, he took my measurements incredibly quickly and had me walking out with a turnaround time of 3 days, even though he was probably busy with prom dresses and such (it's that time of year). When I got them back, I checked thoroughly for any signs of bad handiwork, and was very happy to find none. They were perfectly altered to fit me better than I could have expected, and I was so pleased that I wore them out of the store and gave him the jeans I was wearing that day to get the same thing done lol. He (I never got his name) is definitely a master at what he does, at least when it comes to altering jeans. I can't speak for his other services simply because I didn't witness them. Some things to note if you're going in for the first time: 1. He doesn't speak English that much, but he is very knowledgeable about his job, and you should have no problem communicating what you want as long as you do so clearly. 2. He doesn't take American Express. 3. Parking is limited but I never had a problem when I went in around 1pm. read more
