Flowers by Dottie did an AMAZING job for my wedding in October 2023. She was very thorough in asking what I wanted and what my vision was for the wedding. She not only did all the flowers for my wedding but she did all draping and some decor as well. She even gave me a sneak peek of my bouquet the week before the wedding! Messaging was via instagram however, not email. That would be my one constructive criticism so it is easy to track and follow since instagram started deleting messages randomly. When my husband and I were planning our wedding five years ago,I was on the hunt for wedding bouquets. Wedgewood Sequoia Mansion referred me to Camino Flower Shop since they are affiliated with this florist. The first time I visited this shop, I was not prepared for the visit. I met up with Dottie and browsed the shop to get a feel for the place. There were tons of flowers everywhere and the store seemed a little cluttered but, it was fun to look around anyways. When I meet up with Dotttie, she was very sweet, funny and personable. She immediately went into business mode and asked me what my colors were going to be in my wedding and what flowers I wanted; I had no idea so I had to reschedule another appointment. My now husband and I sat with Dottie and we talked through options and I loved her, Robert, suggestion of blue orchids with purple roses/flowers as our wedding colors were blue and light purple. She also added the flowers to our wedding cake. We also used her daughter, Mattie, and son-in-law (Cocomont) for decorating the venue. They did an amazing job. We were so impressed when we arrived and taking in what they had already done since they were putting the final touches on everything. Where to begin? Dottie's business is AMAZING! My husband and I are from San Francisco and got married in Placerville, CA. It was stressful thinking about trying to find a florist while planning our wedding from a few hours away and we checked out a few flower shops before we came across Camino Flower Shop. When we called, Dottie was very inviting and made it easy for us to schedule an appointment to meet with her. When we first walked into her flower shop, we were blown away! There were beautiful decorations everywhere for any type of wedding a bride could have imagined! It was overwhelming at first, but Dottie was able to break down everything for us and helped us figure out what we wanted for our own special day. She respected all of our wishes and helped make our dream floral arrangements happen within our budget. My wedding was on June 4th, 2017 at the Sequoia Mansion in Placerville, Ca. Our florist, Dottie was AWESOME! Dottie was more then just a florist, she was personable and caring. I really had no clue as to what I wanted for flower arrangements, but Dottie somehow figured it out! I gave her my two theme colors for the wedding and she worked her magic! I highly recommend her, because she cares and gets to know the bride. I worked with Dottie and Matti for my February 28th wedding at Sequoia Mansion, and they were AMAZING. The customer service was on point, and Matti was so sweet and patient. So many of our guests complemented our flowers! When scrolling through their Instagram to find pictures of bouquets I liked, I found that I loved too many to pick just one! I told Matti I gave them creative freedom to do whatever they thought would look best with my colors, and they did an amazing job!! We used Cocomont Styling for the gold glitter backdrop and it was BEAUTIFUL and made for incredible photos. When my husband and I were planning our wedding to take place at Rancho Victoria Vineyard ON 10/7/17 we found Camino Flower Shop after having to part ways with the florist we initially booked because of false advertisement and shady business practices. Dottie booked an appointment with us the same day and we drove up to Placerville to meet her. Walking into her shop felt like home for me. It smelled fresh, the atmosphere was full of love, and her team was bustling around happily completing their tasks. We are extremely organized people, down to the finest detail, and Dottie was the only person we trusted fully and gave creative liberty to. We gave her guidelines for our vision and set her free to use her decades of experience and create masterpieces. Every detail she touched was magic. I am a fortunate bride to be able to state that our day was perfect, and that Camino Flower Shop had a large part to do with that. The planning process had its ups and downs. But through it, we became more confident in trusting our intuition and knowing everything- and everyone-happens for a reason. Camino Flower Shop was one of those positive intuitive moments. Our ceremony sight made my heart burst. Dottie took the wooden boxes we made and filled them, inspired me to make the wine barrel hoop chandelier, and helped us create an area that was balanced with our touches and hers. She took time out of her busy schedule (TEN FALL WEDDINGS IN ONE WEEK) to chat with me and provide guidance and comfort that good things come to good people and that she was excited about our floral. She expertly combined our succulents, and pompous grass, and added touches of manzanita, and moss. She even honored us and our "classy" touches of Halloween. This review is for BOTH Camino Flower Shop, run by the lovely Dottie, and Cocomont Styling, Camino's sister company, run by powerhouse couple Ben and Matti. They were the florists and stylists at my April 2017 wedding. First of all, please strongly consider working with them. They will go above and beyond to help make your big day a true dream come true. I planned my wedding a couple thousand miles away from Manila, Philippines, and while email correspondence could be a challenge sometimes, the Ben, Matti, and Dottie made the greatest effort to make me feel comfortable and confident in our vision as a team! Here's a prime example of how they went above and beyond. I had originally envisioned a gorgeous and lush modern floral arch. In the beginning, we couldn't find an exact match although the Cocomont team showed me an excellent alternative. I was already fine with that, but on the big day itself, they surprised me with a GORGEOUS floral arch that looked EXACTLY like how I envisioned it! I was so taken aback by their commitment to their craft and how sweet they were to build a new arch for me and the groom. It absolutely played a huge role in adding to the sweetness and romance of the day. I wanted something a bit different for my flowers - a floral headpiece, a half-crown, for my hair, and a cascading, long bouquet with a moody feel. Dottie totally listened, made wonderful suggestions, and before long, created a bouquet that looked and felt like a dream. I got married at the Wedgewood Sequoia Mansion earlier this month - and they recommended Camino Flower Shop (whom of which I was going to use anyway once I saw their work at a gfs wedding a few years back) and wow. Just wow... Dotti (owner) and Mattie & Ben (her daughter & son-in-law) were so freaking amazing. Firstly, the shop is gorgeous. I really like the vintagy feel and i wish wish wish I had the baller budget to use everything! as the three of them (respectively) have amazing taste and an amazingly creative eye. I also have to call out the romance that is their furbaby family. I love kitties and there is nothing more special than talking about the most important day to me with a cute little kitty purring in my lap. Anyway, I really have to emphasize as well - how courteous they were with my budget. I had a really really tight budget and Dottie was extremely respectful and even offered up ways to help me make the most of what I could pay for. The team checked up on me often on the days leading up to my wedding and guys.... they really really took care of my on my day. Dottie really hit the mark with my wedding flowers and totally emulated my theme to perfection. She went above and beyond for me and you can totally tell she enjoys her work and making brides feel sooo special. I also used Cocomont Styling (Cocomont Vintage) ((her daughter and son in law) for some styling pieces and again - Mattie took care of the rest. The entire team had a photo shoot and let us use the staging for my special day. I am telling you guys - if you can afford the backlit stage lighting --- PAY FOR IT---- It really does make a whole different affect on your wedding photos. I am so grateful for the team to allow me the autonomy to use their work, and I would recommend them to anyone. They are an extremely kind and loving family that genuinely value you as a customer, and their work in the wedding industry. I truly wish I could give Camino 10 out of 5 stars - they deserve it. Camino Flower Shop is hands down the absolute best. The marvelous Dottie and her entire team (aka her equally-as-magical daughter and son-in-law) could not have created a more beautiful space for our wedding. I went in with a general idea of what I wanted flower wise (all greens and whites with a touch of vintage whimsy, please!) and they took it to the next level. I knew nothing about flowers but Dottie was such a dream, showing me different examples in the shop and Matti putting together actual arrangements on the spot to give me different ideas. My bouquet turned out to be more beautiful than I could even imagine and the centerpieces were absolutely to die for. The entire Camino team takes such pride in their work (and for good reason!) and it absolutely shows. They went above and beyond in SO many ways - for example, they had lined the empty window sills of our reception space with flower-filled vases and candles (matching the rest of my tables). It made the room look EVEN better (who knew that was even possible after all the magic they did everywhere else?!) - and it was just one of many small touches that took the space over the top and into the land of drop-dead gorgeous. In addition to the beautiful floral creations, their sister company, Cocomont Styling, designed the rest of the space. And I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about what Matti and Ben did to the spaces. I went in with a couple of ideas and general feel but told Matti to run with it. Best decision I ever made. They set the most beautiful stage for our reception - complete with various lanterns and a perfect chuppah. From there, they created the most perfect vibe at the reception - antiques on tables, hand-drawn signs, and a simply marvelous set-up. I was blown away. What could be better than a florist AND design team all in one?! Absolutely nothing. Our wedding was at Wedgewood's Sequoia Mansion. The package we purchased included floral centerpieces from Camino Flower Shop. We added arch floral to our package and purchased a bridal bouquet and boutinerre for the groom directly through Dottie. Dottie was an absolute joy to work with. Before meeting with her, I sent her several emails asking different questions and she responded to all of them very quickly. When I met with her, I really didn't know what kind of flowers I wanted or how I wanted the arrangements to look. I just knew I wanted a winter themed wedding and what colors I wanted. Luckily, that was all Dottie needed to know. She immediately came up with some great ideas that I loved. Although I had previously seen a lot of pictures of Dottie's work on her website and Facebook page, I still wasn't ready for how beautiful the flowers were at our wedding. The arrangements were beautiful, the boutinerre was perfect, the arch floral (which Dottie and I decided to change to two large arrangements which were placed on the right and left of the altar on columns) were amazing, and my bouquet was beyond beautiful - it was large and filled with a variety of flowers, crystals, and the ribbon I wanted. It had been months since I had met with Dottie to discuss the flowers but everything looked like we had just talked about them. She remembered everything I told her and added little touches that accented other decorations, like touches of silver spray painted leaves in the bouquet and silver willow sticks in the arrangements. To be honest, I was not expecting to give such a high rating. From a professional stand point, the website is well maintained and has a clean and user friendly feel. However, when attempting to contact via email, I did not receive a response. I've also dealt with many florist in my past, as well as created some of my own arrangements... and I am saddened that a florist of this caliber is not closer to home. Reason I still gave 5 stars is because despite the lack of a response I got from emailing Dottie, when I came in the other day to buy some flowers for a friend, the service I got was astonishing! Not only did she create the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen in under 10 minutes, but the price as well as the delivery was better than I could have expected. Was less expensive than the florist I deal with in Sacramento, as well as any of the premade stuff that can be found in the nicer grocery stores like Raley's or Bel Air. On top of that, the unusual box that was provided to transport the flowers were far more than the flimsy cardstock containers only sometimes offered elsewhere. In the end... the flowers looked amazing, the price was very reasonable, the customer service was great, and as a customer I felt not only welcomed, but appreciated for my business. Our wedding was at Wedgewood - Nello Olivio Winery and Sequoia House. Dottie and the Camino Flower Shop was the florist vendor included in our wedding package. Dottie was by far one of the best vendors we worked with. We were planning from out of state and Dottie maintained wonderful communication with us throughout the entire process. She emailed regularly about her ideas and we sent her pictures and ideas we had. She did an amazing job of taking our ideas and creating wonderful bouquets and centerpieces. Planning from out of state and not having the opportunity to met Dottie or pick flowers out in person for our wedding was very nerve wrecking. Dottie was incredibly sweet, patient, and understanding. She tried to comfort me with many pictures and words of reassurance. She allowed us to visit the shop when we arrived in town just a couple days before the wedding. I loved most of what she had created but she was willing to change anything I wasn't 100% happy with, even though it was so close to the wedding. She changed some of the flowers in our centerpieces because I wasn't sure about the color. She was willing to take family items from me to incorporate in my bouquet the day before. She also was incredibly generous and offered use of any of her props, arches, vases, flower girl baskets, and accessories at no charge. She worked within our limited budget and I was amazed at how much she included. She found a way to include everything we could have wanted and stayed within our budget. She went above and beyond, everything came out beautifully and I remember being overwhelmed with how it all came out and seeing all the little extra touches she included that I didn't think about to create a perfectly finished look. I can't say enough amazing things about Camino Flower Shop and Cocomont Styling. They made my wedding at David Girard Vineyards absolutely perfect - and the best part was I barely had to do anything!!! They somehow got in my head and knew what I wanted without me saying it. My flowers were wild, outdoorsy, autumn-themed, and beautiful. All without me knowing the names of more than two flowers total! And the styling by Cocomont was ridiculously perfect. Again, with hardly any direction from me they managed to make a large, blank space feel warm and inviting. The decor was the perfect summation of my husband and I - outdoorsy and casual but still fancy enough for a wedding!! Everyone commented on how beautifully the venue was decorated. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Buy your flowers from somewhere else! I had a terrible experience with the Camino Flower shop and will never go back. Besides that it is over priced, when the order was messed up I tried to get my money back and they wouldn't issue me a refund. I had ordered a huge flower arrangement for my wife on our anniversary and to my surprise the flowers that came weren't what I ordered at all. When I contacted the flower shop they were very rude to me and told me that the order was correct when it clearly wasn't and that I would not get issued a refund. read more

I just love Dottie and her team, i've never gotten anything from her that was less than georgous, and when i was helping with a wedding because all the brides' maids were bring complete jerks to the poor bride and i told her a bit of what was going on she threw in A WHOLE BUCKET OF FLOWERS FREE. I didnt ask for anything, and didnt even tell her half of what was going on but she just said " oh poor thing, here take these, extra flowers always help!"
