We just got married here on 2/14/26 and had the absolute best day. From our first interaction through wedding day we were truly blown away by everyone at sequoia mansion. They were always so incredibly kind and helpful. So many of our guests even messaged us after the wedding to tell us how much they enjoyed talking to the sequoia team as well as how incredible all the food and drinks were. I wish I could go there all the time just to eat the food and drinks (especially the meatballs). If you're thinking about having your wedding here do yourself a favor and do it! Our entire wedding went very smooth! I'm not the kind of person to be really stressed out over stuff and I want that stressed about the wedding at all, but with Willow she made everything run just the way we wanted with the staff!!! The ceremony was perfect, we had our dogs in it too with them being a part of our family, and it was amazing, and so was the reception! They gave us a printed photo in a frame with our first kiss and it was such a wonderful gift before Willow left for the night. Truly amazing! We then had our banquet captain and she was phenomenal too!! Traelyn was so kind as well and made the dinner and the rest of the night run smoothly until it was time for us to leave!!! In response to the business and how they handled our complaint after ruining our wedding day... There's nothing that can be ever replace our wedding day. They gave us a $1500 refund and a $50 Cheesecake Factory gift card. We spent close to $30K on our wedding... this no where NEAR covers the cost of what was missed, the complaints my guests and family and myself had on your wedding coordinator, Amy. I felt so dismissed when the manager was defending Amy as if my several guests, family and myself lied about her attitude. Our wedding cake was dropped and Amy lied to me about my wedding cake topper. She never set up our Audio GuestBook per instructions. She didn't follow ANY of my decor instructions like I left notes for her and when my friend tried to help, Amy kicked her out. We asked for our wedding cake topper be saved so we could enjoy some after the wedding and do the 1 yr tradition and our wedding cake was never returned despite it not being served to guests besides wedding party. Over half the cake just was "missing"...I'm sorry but I would have expected WAY more compensation for all that went wrong that day. $1500 and a gift card was outright offensive. For the amount we paid to not have stress and feel taken care of, I would have expected AT LEAST half of my compensation back because we did NOT get what we paid for. I had to start up therapy and have paid money for that to help process this and I'm still hurting. It seems Wedgewood Weddings cares more about the business side of things then their customers that may tens of thousands of dollars to trust them with the best day of your life. We just celebrated my daughter's wedding this past Thursday. From the beginning until when all was said and done it went smooth, no hiccups or complaints at all. I didn't even have to think, they took care of it all. No hidden costs, no communication issues, the food at the reception was a hit and I couldn't get enough!!! Ok! Let me be clear, the night started off slightly annoying. My car couldn't handle the slope to enter into the parking lot and I scraped the bottom of the car. However, the staff were very welcoming and hella sick. James from MIB laughed at my joke when no one else did. Traelynn was the banquet captain and when I looked to be alone eating by myself, she came and made sure I was alright. Shannon from the bar made drinks at lightning speed that were hella good (virgin spicy margarita). Steve the DJ has an incredible MC voice and actually played all the requested songs. Diana made an incredible selection of food that had all of us, especially my friends, say "holy $#!%!" This venue is absolutely amazing. First of all, the site is a historic beautiful house with tons of original pieces like stained glass and hardware on doors. It feels like you're stepping back in time. The fact that it is an all-inclusive wedding made the planning a breeze. Every aspect was top notch, the food/dessert was amazing, decorations were beautiful, the drinks were flowing (so many of our guests said "that bartender was amazing!!!"), DJ Steve absolutely crushed the dance party. They made the entire process straightforward and we knew exactly what the next steps were, how much everything would cost, and what our big day would look like. At the beginning of the process they send a binder with SO much great info that was extremely helpful to plan our big day. The staff was SO accommodating, we would ping them constantly with questions and they would respond quickly with detailed answers or a link for a Zoom call. They are truly pros at this. They made suggestions around our ceremony, order of events, where to do pictures, it took all the stress of the unknown out and made it be the best day of our lives, especially since we planned our wedding in about 6 months. We cannot recommend and thank Sequoia Mansion and their staff enough (especially Amy, you freaking rule!!!). It was a perfect day, all of our guests had an amazing time, and we loved every second of our day and it was all thanks to the beautiful venue and the wonderful staff at Sequoia. I couldn't imagine a more perfect venue for my sister and my now brother-in-law to hold their wedding on 12/6/19, the staff were friendly, the groomsmen had an Xbox and drinks in their room and the Bridal room had a vanity for each girl, as well as floor length mirrors to get ready in. Which was really nice! The food was delicious, especially the Salmon with Béarnaise Sauce and there was every type of salad you could imagine! They got married outside and despite it being windy and nippy out, they were all smiles! To capture the memories they had a photo booth with a poloraid and some funny props. My boyfriend and I were Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper since they love Star Wars and of course I grabbed the Mad Hatter hat for another pic with my dad and the flower girls! We made speeches and toasted off the bride and groom and then it was party time! They shared their first dance with the father daughter dance following. I of course began to shed a tear. I would recommend this venue, the staff were great and very helpful with the rehearsal the day before as well! I was worried about a November wedding but days before the wedding Cocomont, Dottie and Willow with Wedgewood pivoted for the perfect spot at Sequoia Mansion for the ceremony. Absolutely excellent. We were the venue's first wedding back after opening from COVID restrictions. Jordan was our coordinator, and we worked closely with Kali as well. Both ladies did a wonderful job. We had our wedding booked over a year and a half in advance, and there was clear and attentive communication the entire way. In the midst of COVID, this communication continued tenfold. The ladies were very flexible to accommodate our wishes while still following COVID guidelines. The legal team was extensive in their reviews of all of my questions regarding what was and wasn't allowed. The actual ceremony and reception was the absolute best. Everything went smoothly, the food was phenomenal, and everyone made it out in good health! The venue was clean, spacious, beautiful, etc. I'd say we'd go back anytime but I think the goal is to just have one marriage... Highly recommend!! read more

Came here for a wedding and it is so beautiful if you are into the wood look. The staff here is also amazing and they hustle! During dinner these women are running around with plates of food serving and busting tables. The decor in here is very beautiful and is very comforting. At night though if I were alone in this place I'd be scared thinking this place is haunted!! It is very spacious here and there is a beautiful bar with a mantel and 2 waiting areas downstairs with lounge chairs and couches and very big windows to let in natural sunlight. The outside is a very cute area that is nicely covered with shade and trust me in Sacramento you will want the shade. The appetizers that they were passing around were delicious! I must have eaten about 10 of the phyllo brie cups with apple and whenever I could get my hands on the bacon wrapped scallop with balsamic oh believe me I shoved those in my mouth! There was also another room when you walk into the house to the right with a lot of beautiful aged windows that open outward and a great place for pictures and a place to mingle. read more

This review is long overdue! I cannot even begin to describe to you how amazing this place is. Sequoia Mansion fulfilled my dreams and gave me the most amazing fantasy wedding ever! When my fiancé and I were on the hunt for a wedding venue, the first place we checked out was Sequoia Mansion. We were both instantly wowed about how wonderful we felt here; the beauty of the mansion was exactly how I envisioned my wedding to be. We meet with one of the staff and she was so helpful to both of us since we had no idea how to plan a wedding. She showed us the grounds of the mansion, where the ceremony would take place and of course the ballroom. My husband and I told her we would think about it and checked our other venues just to keep our options open. After checking some venues, we decided to go with Sequoia Mansion and put a down deposit and decided to be married on May 3rd, 2015. Sequoia had tons of wedding packages and we decided on the Emerald package which included wedding invitations, table settIngs of vases with flowers, chair slip covers with bows on the back of the chairs, an officiant, a dj, a wedding cake, they decorated the gazebo where the ceremony took place outside, a wedding coordinator, plated dinners (one vegetarian and one with meat), appetizers and bottles oof champagne to go along with an open bar. The day of the wedding went without a hitch and everything was absolutely perfect. The food, music, the dj, the decorations, the cake, the dancing; everything exceeded my expectations. Our daughter got married at the Sequoia Mansion this past Saturday and I can't say enough about this venue and the staff. This is an all-inclusive venue which makes planning simple and easy. Each and every vendor we dealt with was professional and helpful. From the moment we pulled up a year ago to visit the property, to seeing it all come together this past weekend the process was seamless and smooth. Upon signing the contract, we received a binder full of information and recommendations for every part of the wedding. Amy was by our side the whole way guiding us through the process and answering all of our questions in a timely manner. She went above and beyond on the wedding day, making sure that everything met our expectations and that all of our needs were being met. She even arranged for a plate of appetizers and drinks for my daughter and son-in-law to be in the bride room prior to their introduction in the ball room. The food spread was absolutely incredible. There were eight different salads, salmon, tortellini, prime rib, roasted vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, and rolls and butter. We had so many compliments on the food. The full bar and bartender were also top notch. The beautiful wedding cake by Frank Vilts Cakes was so delicious and a favorite of our guests as well. DJ Steve kept the party going. The fresh florals from Couture Weddings by Dottie and the styling by Cocomont Styling were magical. Carl from A Perfect Impression Photography was amazing. We can't wait to see the photos. The space itself is gorgeous and well kept. I love the history behind the old mansion and the services provided by Wedgewood. The grounds are smaller than expected when me and my fiancé toured the venue for our wedding. Not a lot of areas to take pictures or parking available for guests. Hotels/air BnB were quite a bit away for our out of town guests with young aged children. All inclusive packages were nice just not exactly what we were looking for. read more

A relative booked in February for a wedding in November. By March, they realized there would not be enough guests for such a large venu. Wedgewood's policy is no refunds once the deposit is paid. Even though they have 8 months to rebook, and they currently have put no money or effort into the event, they would not return the $3000 deposit. That's free money for them for no service provided. I am an ordained minister- I was recently asked by my baby brother and his bride to join them in union. It was the end of February when the wedding took place- the rain held out for the pictures but the inside of the mansion is perfect for an indoor wedding, small and intimate. It was a bit sentimental for our family as across the street in the cemetery lies our great grandfather and mother. The ceremony was held in the front area, followed by cocktail hour, then dinner and dancing. The staff was incredible, the bar staff was good, steve the DJ was incredible, Daniel the photographer that came with the package deal was great- especially with the children in pictures; Jordan was our wedding coordinator the day of the wedding and made sure that everything went smoothly. Thanks to Jordan we were able to move everything no problem at all. They were always checking in with us through the planning process, which was a huge help because my husband and I tend to be forgetful . When we did forget stuff Jordan was so kind and gracious and got us back on track. I had my wedding here and it was absolutely perfect and more than I could have dreamed of!! The venue is stunning and I love the historical aspect of it as well as how it mixes Victorian and modern so well! The staff were all very kind, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Communication was very easy both through texting, calling, emails, and in-person meetings. Everything was clear and the wedding planning binder they provided had really clear instructions. They provided almost everything: Florist, DJ, Baker, Day of coordinator, cooks, chairs, lighting etc. We brought our own officiant and photographers instead of using theirs. It's amazing that they had it all. Nothing went poorly and both me and so many guests have told me how amazing the venue and staff are! They worked well during the event for communication in between scheduling. Willow was my day of coordinator and was so attentive! She even brought out food and water to us when we were still out taking photos to ensure we weren't starving or dehydrated after the ceremony prior to our reception. Michelle the security guard was very nice and we loved having her. Shannon was a great bar tender and helped make the night amazing for so many! Casey helped me with my dress and helped a lot with the food and so much more! Jake Roberts was a great DJ and had every one of all ages on the dance floor! I had my wedding in early October and was incredibly happy with the services provided by the venue staff. Their vendors (Steve Boutte {DJ}, Dottie {Floral}, and Frank Vilt {Cake}) were friendly and helpful. Steve helped make song selections that fit our style perfectly, kept the wedding on schedule, and made sure everything was appropriate (but fun!) for all attendees. Dottie handled all of my questions via email and created beautiful centerpieces in my requested colors. Frank's business provided a wide selection of cake, fillings, and frosting to sample and were very patient as I explained my cake design choices. The final product was everything I asked for! The venue was able to coordinate my rehearsal dinner for the day before the wedding and allowed us to set up our additional decorations at that time to save us the stress and hassle the day of our wedding. We had a morning brunch-themed wedding and the weather was beautiful, the grass and greenery was still lush, and the bright rooms brought the wedding to life! The venue itself required almost no additional decorations as the house is beautifully made and kept in homage to the original design. A few personal touches added to the already present lights and furniture. The staff silently and dutifully assisted in last-minute changes and snafus and were helpful but unobtrusive. Being able to pay via credit card was very helpful. I also appreciated the use of the military discount given my husband's service. Being able to plan the wedding in such small, easy to handle bursts of meetings was effective and allowed the process to be much less stressful. I greatly appreciated the relationships the venue staff had with the vendors who were able to coordinate everything behind the scenes, allowing my husband and I to truly enjoy the day.
