Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center - Loved this piece inspired by lung disease the artist's parents both, unfortunately succumbed to.

There is a welcome hut where they give out maps and collect the suggested $5 donation. We walked some of the woods to view some of the sculptures. Several were very attractive and other pieces were not as striking. There is a fairy garden type play area where a number of kids were running around. We walked through the main arts building. We saw some exhibits and the gift shop. On the whole, it was smaller than I expected, but we did not walk all of the paths. I'm glad we took a look. I would be interested in returning when they have a festival or for the holiday lights.

It was easy to get to, and handicap parking is located to the right as soon as you enter the grounds. All other parking is located in the grass. It's about a 5 minute walk from the parking to the lights. This place definitely did not disappoint and was well worth it! Tickets were $18/pp, parking is free. If you're bringing children and/or senior citizens be prepared to walk. It took us about an hour to walk through and see all of the displays. There were also a few spots for photo ops and food trucks with hot chocolate, fudge, popcorn, and light snacks. Two or three fire pits also conveniently located close by to warm up a bit. The inside was also open, with Santa photo ops, and a few vendors selling crafts. Highly recommend this place! Will definitely be back again next year!

Which wouldn't normally annoy me, however today she specifically wrote her number down and told me to call as soon as I had updated info. 5 minutes after leaving I called over 9 times spanning 15/20 minutes. I went back in and called when I walked in to see if their phones were broke. They rang and no one got up or even looked at the phone. So basically just go in if you need anything. The admin office in the back is much better with customer service. They actually talk to you like a human. The nature trails here are lovely, beaches are gorgeous and the gate guards are so kind. People will throw your laundry out of the wash so beware of the selfish people that come. It's nice that there's so many cabins because it is easy to have last minute visitors make a reservation.

The temperature needs to be set to a certain number, you must put all linen in a provided bag, clean ur dishes and put them all away. All furniture needs to be put back exactly where it was note: if you want to use the pull out couch, you will need to move everything, or else you are trapped and have no easy access to the front door Incase of an emergency. The trash needs to be walked all the way to wherever the big dumpster is (never close) and if you like to shower with warm water you have 3-4 minutes of hot water. Lastly do not, have the microwave and tv on at the same time...everything will shut down, that includes the over head fan that makes a wonderful clicking noise ALL NIGHT LONG!! I'm surprised it hasn't fallen on someone yet! Will I satay here again? I'll need to pass and stay on base, it's not cheaper than the base hotel btw, the hotel has no pool but you have to pay $7 per person to go in anyways.

The alpacas were also active, and we saw bison, some birds, some reptiles, and a wallaby. But this zoo definitely needs some TLC as we did not see many of the animals expected as listed on the website. I know that animals might not be active during a particular visit, but there were enclosures that either had a sign on it or looked like there was definitely "no one home." There is a small cafe with hot dogs and hot pretzels, a slushie truck, and a small gift store. The adjacent playground is a plus, and the whole surrounding park area looks like a great place to walk on the trails. Don't forget to leave a donation so that they can stay open and stay free!

Having a clue about the layout helps tremendously since things are a bit... squirrely. salisburyzoo.org/be-our-guest/map/ You've got a small parking lot (maybe 20 cars) on South Park Drive and then another lot on the other side of the zoo on Beaver Dam Drive that's slightly larger. While that seems easy enough, most of the zoo is a small maze of interconnected walkways. It's very easy to miss something or double back on yourself while not knowing where to go. The animals here are for the most part small time. Think some reptiles, crane, flamingos, a crow, alpaca, deer, goat, lynx, etc. The biggest would be two bald eagles, a few small bears and two or three bison. This isn't the National Zoo in DC or the zoo in Philly. If you're walking at a brisk pace and ignoring the empty enclosures, you could slam through here easy in 30 minutes and have seen everything. We were fast, but not that fast. Doing a slow roll through and seeing everything took about 75-80 minutes. IMHO, any review for this zoo should be/needs to be automatically skewed higher simply because it's free. I mean within reason; how do you take a dump on something that's free? With that said, know before you go what's here and what's not here to keep your expectations in check and you should have a good time.
