We have been going a little over a year now and my kids love it. The instructors are great, my kids have really bonded with a few of them. They have gained confidence and have learned a lot of self defense so far. They are both wanting to earn their black belts, and know it will be a lot of training and hard work, but even after doing it a year they are still excited to learn more.

When I became older he trained me in his back yard every weekend during the summer in the mid 80's. . His mentorship was impeccable, he did not just teach the use of hands and feet, you promoted being disciplined and using the mind. Then he opened his school on Nebraska Street, I was one of the original students. I stayed there until I departed for Marine Corps Boot Camp 1 Feb 1988. Years later after returning from a combat tour in Iraq, I went to visit Master Dorsey and his demeanor remain as it was when I was a kid, he carried himself like a calm warrior. He is still passing on the knowledge after all of these years. If I was currently living in Marion, my children would be his students. I feel honored to say that I once trained under Master William Dorsey.
