This is my first times, to come in and getting help on health care enrollment. I sign in at the front desk and just wait for a few minutes. And a representative came and ask me to come in and start the process. My representative Mariela was nice and very professional. She ask me what she can help with and I told her my reason I am here is so seek for help in health insurance and she was able to help get sign in for the health care enrollment. Decided to visit this location after learning the Covered California enrollment center near my area closed down, and I'm really glad I did. After walking through the doors, it wasn't long until I was attended to, albeit I did go during off-peak season. Gwen was the agent assisting me through the enrollment process and was extremely helpful. Her attentiveness, knowledgeability and patience really made me feel at ease. While the agents here are nice, I must say it's been a headache dealing with my medical insurance thru them. After getting married, I qualified for the "special enrollment" period and decided to join under my husbands health insurance and cancel my separate coverage. The nightmare began after we opted for a nearly $1000/month health insurance. We ended up having to put our payment down right then and there and have our plan start the following month. What happened was, they charged me that day, and then the next month I was also charged for my separate plan that was supposed to be cancelled + another charge with my husband which was already supposed to be paid for. So instead of cancelling my separate plan, they kept my plan open and also added me to my husbands making me pay for 2 different insurance plans. This situation is a complete mess, I have been running around calling covered California AND Kaiser back and forth. Covered California told me that I'll be getting a refund which was back in August & have still not received; and Kaiser had told me they can't help me because I'm enrolled thru Covered California. The fact that I have to run around and try to find my own answers instead of the agents fixing their problem is unsettling and very unprofessional. read more

They're ok but the information they provided me is incorrect and they don't seem very knowledgeable regarding basic questions. They told me that your premium is based on net income but the covered california website says it's based on your gross income. I also had to call covered california to link the account they created so i could pay my premium online. They didn't tell me this, I had to do my due diligence and figure it out because they just said id get something in the mail which i didn't. I spent a lot of my own time calling covered california which i should have just done in the first place instead of coming here and receiving incorrect information. Just FYI they're an agency through Covered California but they are not Covered CA. I would probably go to another agent next time. read more

If you have any questions at all head into your local Covered Ca and they will be able to help you with anything you need explained. You walk in and sign in on a tablet that's on the front desk. Ez. Linh Nguyen was the rep that helped me out. She was able to get me everything I needed as far as updating my health insurance and dental plans. Super friendly, great communicator and the entire process took about 20 minutes total. I'll be back if I need anything else.
