I purchased a Painted rock, hand painted by a local Covina gentleman :). Nice, huh?!?!
    Laura P.

I just love this shop. It's got absolutely everything I need to keep my lawn and garden beautiful and healthy. I've been in here many times. It's a Must, in my opinion. It's on Second, between Rowland and Puente. From the street, it just looks like a smallish garden center, BUT, travel inside and it's wonderful. They have vegetables, flowers, decor, cactus, pots, etc. At Christmas, they even have Christmas trees!! Some of the things I find very special about this store are: The owners and staff are kind, friendly and very knowledgeable about gardening and plants. The plants are all very healthy. I've never seen a plant that isn't in tip-top health. It's actually fun to shop here, more of an event or outing, not a trip to the store. I always find something fabulous I wasn't looking for. Today, I bought painted rocks, one for me and one for a gift. They are being safe during this pandemic, wearing masks, etc. I truly appreciate them being open, Let's all support our city and keep these special stores open by giving them our business. Downtown and the true Covinians are one important factor to Covina being so great!

$26.99 + tax loss of one plant. Goodbye $30.00.

Nicely located in a business district off of an alley. People that work there are helpful and knowledgeable. They know their plants. However, I purchased 3 shr/vne trees (basically like a soft fir tree), one of which died . DOA :-( At $26.99 a pop plus tax... this is not cheap. Also, the soil that I used on the plant is a loss too. I had asked the man running the show if he had more of these plants coming in. He said in a couple days. I checked back and he said that he would call them and they should be in Saturday. On Saturday he said that they were not in and he would call them. After the 4th time, I just gave up. Nice people, nice plants, and nice location. But rather than wait on plants that are backordered, I think it is best for me to buy a different plant or look elsewhere. Covina Garden on 2nd

COOL RARE PLANTS . Checked out Covina Garden center this weekend and here are my thoughts: * Decent selection of common and rare indoor plants. Only placed we've seen a whale fin snake plant but it was $150 so we didn't end up buying * Cool selection of herbs we've never seen. One highlight was the pineapple mint which smelled amazing. * All plants were clearly marked with prices. * Small selection on succulents * Parking on premise We will definitely be coming back to check out their rare plant selection.

This is my go to place to get all my vegetable plants, and in door plants! Thanks to Wendell for always teaching me new tips and answering all my questions

    Grandma was happy!

I came looking to pick up a plant for my grandma's birthday, last minute shopping. Place is decent size, maybe on smaller side. I had some back up plants in mind, but was very pleased when I found the perfect one inside the store. Owner was very kind, and took the time to repot my plant into a ceramic holder I also picked out. Pot was about $20, plant was about $15. Owner was kind in providing care instructions and even said i could bring the plant back to evaluate if it started to not do well. Thank you!!!

We usually wait until closer to Halloween to stop by but this time we went the second day of opening and I'm glad we did. Wow, definitely would be back to support many more years to come. Fun express for my toddler and our family. Please help support this event so they continue to come back. Volunteers, staff and family are all extremely nice. Please be courteous, it's all in fun. Remember its in the parking lot of the mall so use restroom before arriving or use the mall. They have porto potties as well. And a hand washing station. Jumpers are outside so of course they will be dusty and dirty but it's an outdoor event so it's expected. The staff at the entrance greeted us and explained pricing of admission and the options for kids. The pumpkins vary in size and color, the prices are written on the pumpkins, the stems are very long in many of them. The decorations are very cute, Disney themed to generic Halloween themed characters. Some animatronics and moving ones got my toddler a bit scared but he liked walking around regardless. There's a 13 and older section, I only went in for a peek and it seems to be small and probably better at night. They have a little tractor ride section for kids to drive a small tractor around a small track of boxes. The bouncy play area has four large bouncers, for 20$ unlimited it would have been more worth it if the sun hadn't made two of them too hot for the kids. There's a gate door to enter and they provide wristbands for the kids. The restrooms are portable ones near the side. There were lots of boxes of random pumpkins laying around and some things that look like trash. Overall, it was a nice experience and the decor was nice to walk around. I think we had our fill of this as a one time experience and maybe we'll be back given it's so close to a mall therefore parking is not an issue. We took lots of photos of ourselves with pumpkins as well!
